The recap gets us all caught up and reminds us of the hated history between Watts and Ladd. This has been one of my favorite stories in the game. I can't wait to see the blow off. Halloween Havoc is going to be a game changer. Cajun Dome, Action Jackson impresses as he takes Mean Mike to the limit. Nord and Goliath look unstoppable. Uncle Ivan finally gets one over on Wahoo. Tully retains but it looked like Mulligan already got into it beforehand. Poor Doug. Not only did he take a Freebird beating but his own brother didn't even help him. Williams and Nikita tear it down along with the Lumberjacks. I don't think Nikita will be happy with Vlad. October is going to be a money making month for both Ladd and Watts. The heat is on!

Lone Star is the last man standing to retain the 6 man titles. Great way to kick things off. After a classic feud with Radiance and a great chase to the Brutha's, all the hard work pays off as S&S capture the US tag titles! What a feel good story. Congrats! Smiley is the one to finally take down Mega Man and end his TV title reign. After his tremendous title run, McGee is now a star. I would defiantly say the Bees finished things off with the DWBs after that finish. I really enjoyed this feud. We get the shocker of the year as Commonwealth wins the World titles. Haystacks and Linda had a lot to do with this but it's still a huge win over the Road Warriors. I'm glad Street and Dundee are getting a lot of love here. Thanks to JJ, Hansen wins the brawl against Manny. But the real story here is Hansen is a Horsemen! These 4 guys are going to wreak havoc on the NWA! Whoever wins the Starrcade Cup will defiantly earn that shot. Look at the talent competing! Flair and Adonis close out the show on a high note. Adonis looks strong as he goes down in defeat. Hopefully we get one more match. Great card AD!

Youngbloods defiantly get the crowd warmed up with that win over the Jayhawks. Good opener with some heat. You have to get crazy going against the Nasties. That was a brawl! Can't wait for more. Poor Lanny! Oh man that was brutal. Badd Co. look like superstars and shine bright as they beat the Patriots. Great things ahead for these guys. RnR and the Rockers give the fans 25 minutes of epic tag team action! I'll say it again, this could be the feud of the year. Road Warriors and Bigelow standing tall is one heck of a visual. Props to Hall for bringing the fight but dealing with both Barb and Jones is too much for anyone. I don't think Jimmy Jam can talk his way out of this one. Nothing is more dangerous than an irate Savage. Spivey makes the most of his opportunity and probably would've won the title, if it wasn't for Jones. But hey, we're going to get a 10 man tag out of this, so I'm good.

I liked the details with the various injuries from last Monday night. Really adds realism. Nice touch. It appears the Starrs want to do their talking in the ring. Starr Cruncher is such a great finisher name. The Travis/Richs saga continues. Both sides bring up good points. Like Billy and Davey said "We shall see" Fuller responds to Bob's actions with a challenge. Can't wait to see who his mystery partner is. This next chapter in the Fuller/Armstrong feud is going to be so awesome! Bob shares his views and the fans don't like it. Him smoking his such a heel move. I remember him doing this LOL. LOL! Another great Fiesta Garden. Plowboy's improving. Vic Steamboat gets the introduction of a lifetime. Out of all this the "Lance Von Steamboat" line was the icing. Madril's at the top of his game. This did give Vic a lot of attention. Can't wait for their match. Lightning Express come in with a bang. I wonder how long it will be before they seriously address Bob. I also noticed Scott's "King of the Juniors" comment. Could there be something there? Ron Starr better be on high alert because the Nightmares are coming after him. Dirty Rhodes arrives and gives Bass the win. Rhodes is in deep now, messing with Cooley. On the flip side, Bass is a great guy to have on your side. I'm with AD, the post show credits are a lot of fun.

AWA @ The Brown County Arena, WI 9-25-87 Crusher Blackwell defeated Gene Ligon with a big splash Venomous w/Gama Singh defeated Uncommon Alliance- Uncommon Alliance was on the verge of victory when Gama tripped Kirchner and he staggered into a quick cradle by Cobra. Gama got his team out of there quick. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "The Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez wrestled to a heated 20 minute draw. Afterwards, Larry demanded 5 more minutes but ran away when Perez accepted. The British Bombers defeated The Honor Roll w/Professor Bill Ash- Kelly and Morgan just couldn't get on the same page and the Bombers took advantage and swung them into each other. As Kelly and Morgan stumbled back, the Bombers atomic dropped them back into each other. Taylor then rolled up Kelly for the win. Afterwards, the Honor Roll almost came to blows but Ash calmed them down and assured them he had the answers. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka vs. Carlos Colon As promised, there were no partners or managers at ringside. These two went at it with a vengeance. They beat each other into bloody messes. After 15 minutes of brutality, Snuka was in control. He slammed Colon and went to the top rope. The fans went crazy as Snuka flashed the 'I love you' sign. Before he jumped, CURTIS IAUKEA rushed out and pushed Snuka off the top rope. The Ref saw this and signaled for the DQ. Iaukea stormed in the ring and started hitting Snuka with his kendo stick. Colon staggered up and sees this. He goes over and yanks Iaukea away. Colon starts berating Iaukea for his interference. Iaukea starts yelling at Colon saying "I knew you couldn't get the job done! You're pathetic and I had to save you!" Iaukea then slaps Colon. The fans go crazy as Colon unleashes on Iaukea with punches! He grabs the kendo stick and goes to town on Iaukea with it! Iaukea staggers against the ropes as Colon clotheslines him over with the kendo stick! The fans cheer as Colon holds up the kendo stick. Colon helps Snuka up, gives him a nod and leaves the ring as Snuka looks around with a confused look. Tatsumi Fujinami defeated Stoney Burke with a Dragon Suplex AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Bruise Brothers (C) vs. Rip Oliver and ??? The Bruise Brothers decide it will be Cameron and Snowman in the ring with Atlas on the outside. They argue with the Ref and announcer as they wait for their opponents. The crowd goes nuts as Rip Oliver and Matt Borne hit the ring with fists flying! They clean house and the fans cheer when Rip Oliver and Matt Borne are officially announced. The Bruise Brothers are throwing a tantrum. Atlas starts to lead his men out of there. Oliver and Borne chase them and start pounding away on them in the aisle. After a lot of craziness, the match finally gets into the ring. These teams give the fans a hard hitting match, but things get even more wild and the match ends up a double c.o. I'm sure Jarrett will grant a rematch because Oliver and Borne are together again! AWA World Title Bout Bad News Brown (C) vs. "Dynamite" DJ Peterson At the 10 minute mark, Brown is in control. The tide turns when he misses a clothesline and DJ swings back and puts Brown down with a clothesline. The fans fire DJ up and he feels it. Brown gets up and charges but DJ back drops him. Brown staggers up, but DJ scoop slams him down. DJ swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. DJ swings Brown into the corner and charges in with a shoulder thrust. DJ hip tosses Brown across the ring. Brown staggers up and back into the turnbuckles. DJ charges in with a running clothesline. DJ grabs Brown and hits a vertical suplex. DJ goes to the top rope. Brown slowly rises as DJ goes for his flying shoulder block but Brown dodges it as DJ crashes to the canvas. Brown rests against the ropes. DJ slowly rises as Brown nails him with the ghetto blaster 1..2..3! Brown rolls out of the ring, grabs his title, raises it up and leaves. Eventually DJ gets up and the fans give him a standing ovation. Winner of the match and still AWA World Champ- Bad News Brown

AWA picks up Rocky Iaukea

Even in victory, Young still can't please Mr. Backlund. I love the fact that Backlund is a heel but doesn't like questionable tactics. Hmmmmm, I wonder what Paul Bearer sees in Texas Red. Rick's set on making a name for himself in solo action. Rose might need more men because Grizzly and Pierre are hot on his trail. Diamond Exchange rack up another win and the Sawyers might have earned themselves a title match. LA, Is there anything hotter than the Diamond Exchange right now? Bret gets another submission win. That sharpshooter has gotten way over. Rick looks more than impressive with that win over Mando. Severn's technical skills outdoes Malenko's. The OMG/Windham saga continues. Could another chain match be coming? WOW! I knew Bock and Hennig would deliver and they exceed expectations with a 1 hour draw! Bock reminded me of Apollo Creed with the "No rematch" line LOL. Santa Barbara, Cool seeing Cactus break out the elbow from apron move. Always loved that. Haynes reminds the fans and Big Cat of his power. I know Eddie relished that win over his elder brothers. Anvilizer (Still love that name) wins another for Neidhart. Man, I hope we're going to get a Midnights/Southern Boys feud. I could watch these guys go at it forever. LHW title matches continue to rock as Pillman defeats Malenko in yet another classic. The Bomb Squad are legit champs after that win over Coast to Coast. Outstanding week!
-
Exciting way to kick things off with a battle royal for the TV title! Richter wins it and once again has gold. I'm seeing a ratings boost with Richter on TV every week. Winona and Nellie outclass their opponents and win their seasons matches. Both really looked strong this week. Misty gives it her all for a chance at the US title but comes up short. I wonder how long it will be before Velvet wants a shot at Medusa's world title?

The British Magician is back and better than ever. Grapplers gain momentum heading into Labor Day while The Trinity seem to be off sync. Lightfoot gives McGee a scare, but Mega Man retains as Smiley awaits. Lots of fun chaos in the Animal/Haystacks match but the big story is the visual of Animal powerslamming Haystacks! Damn! Blockbuster main event! Manny gets an exciting pin on Hansen! Great set up for Labor Day. Flair and Adonis is going to rock. I wonder what JJ's intentions are with Hansen? Worldwide, Good showcases for Spartanburg, Slinker and Boone. This show does a great job of keeping talent in the spotlight. Smiley's tuned up and ready for Mega Man. I can't wait for the Starrcade Cup. I loved it last time and it really puts importance on the world title and Starrcade.

Tonight's main event will be Jerry Lawler and Steve Keirn against Tommy Rich and Austin Idol. My goodness! Also, Bruce Hart takes on Scott Putski. Fans, there's so much going on, lets just get right to the ring. Uncommon Alliance vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Last week Corporal Kirchner and Jesse Barr agreed to team up and give it a try. George hits the Russian Leg Sweep and it's all over. Resnick: Mike George with an impressive win. Greg, as you know, next week at the Mid South Coliseum, Mike will be defending his International Title against Kokina. You've seen the damage Kokina can do. I hope you're prepared. Gagne: (pauses) Resnerd, you make me laugh. I'm laughing because you say all this so seriously. A savage like Kokina shouldn't even be in the ring with the Marvelous One. Mike George has made the AWA great again, that's a fact! And trust me, I'm going to be laughing when I watch that savage try to keep up with the Marvelous One. Mike: I am the AWA International Champ and it's going to remain that way for (pauses) well, forever! Commercial Break Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ray Glader Fujinami looks great tonight and wins the match with the Dragon Breaker (belly to back suplex backbreaker) Resnick: Fans, I understand both Tatsumi Fujinami and Jumbo Tsuruta have decided to go into single's competition. Jerry, I understand you have an announcement regarding the upcoming World tag team match this weekend in Milwaukee between the Bruise Brothers and Cripplers. Jarrett: After what happened in Minnesota, Kerry Brown wont be able to compete in the upcoming title bout. I wish him a speedy recovery. In Milwaukee, there will still be a world tag title match, because I have decided that Rip Oliver can choose a partner for the match. Boos as the Bruise Brothers stroll out flexing. Atlas: Jarrett, do you think you got one over on us? You didn't! It don't matter who that blonde bimbo Oliver gets as a partner. Commercial Break Scott "Powerhouse" Putski vs. "The Calgary Flame" Bruce Hart The bell rings and Hart pushes Putski. Putski pushes Hart back and down. Hart rolls out of the ring and staggers around. Hart yells up at Putski. Putski gets close to the ropes as Hart grabs his legs and pulls him to the outside. Putski swings Hart hard into the opposite corner, Hart staggers forward as Putski grabs him and hits a powerslam 1..WAIT! PHIL HICKERSON, NORVELL AUSTIN and The MIDNIGHT EXPRESS hit the ring and attack Putski! The Ref signals for the DQ. The Midnight's swing Putski to the ropes and hit the double flapjack. Hickerson swings off the ropes and hits a big elbow drop. Hickerson drops several more elbow drops until officials hit the ring to stop this. Commercial Break AWA TV Champ Nick Busick vs. Clyde Putnam Busick hits the SpineBuster slam for the 1..2..3! Resnick: Nick Busick, next week right here, you will defend the TV title in a rematch with Billy Jack Strong. Your match at Collision at the Coliseum is still being talked about. Busick: Hey, Billy came to fight and that's exactly what he did. We both felt pain for days. But I'm ready to do it all over again. Billy, we're going to fight and when it's over, trust me, I'll be the one standing. Commercial Break Carlos Colon w/Curtis Iaukea vs. Todd Rooney Colon fights with serious aggression and finishes things off with a flying clothesline from the top rope. Resnick: Ok, this weekend at the Brown County Arena in Milwaukee, it will be Carlos Colon and Jimmy Snuka one on one, no partners, no outside interference. Iaukea: Jimmy Snuka! Your demise is near. I will be there to watch Carlos Colon make you suffer. Colon: Hold on Iaukea, I told you this is between Snuka and me. It is my fight and mine alone. This will be resolved man to man. I need you to respect that and stay away. Iaukea: I will respect your wishes but you better make him suffer and I mean suffer! Commercial Break The British Bombers vs. Arnie Goldstein and Reese Jackson Bombers are in sync tonight as Smith clips Jackson from behind while Taylor hits the running forearm blast for the win. When.... Boos as The Vin Man strolls out. Resnick: Vinnie, I wasn't expecting you. Vin: Oh Rezzy, you know you have to expect the unexpected from me. as you know my main man Kevin Kelly and I parted ways. I can't wait to see the Honor Roll crush those no good Brits. Now! Adams rides his Pacific wave into Mid South. Steiner keeps racking up wins. Finally! The Ref catches Wright's chisel and Gordy takes advantage to give the Birds the win. What a great segment between Ladd and Gilbert. Ladd gives the fans what they want and so does Michael Hayes. Freebirds vs. Hot Stuff Inc is money! The gauntlet match is full of intrigue, blood and suspense. In the end, Tully is crowned Louisiana Champ. Great call! Dr. Death and The Russian Nightmare is a heavy hitting dream match. Wahoo saves the day and looks like we're going to get another chapter. Ladd has Mid South rock'n!

Olympia keeps his winning ways going. Maybe now he'll get the respect he's been looking for. YES! Uptown Brown is wearing gold! Madril and Plowboy make quite the team as Brickhouse goes down in defeat. Travis adds high stakes to the match and after a crutch shot, Kendo, Tojo and Goto are gone and the Rich's get a title shot. I wonder how Johnny will feel about all this? Great angle. Ross wins another for USA but Hump steals his flag. Big mistake! Mega Starrs retain and even send Wayne out on a stretcher. Good heat for the champs. WOW! Not in a million years did I see this coming! Bullet Bob, oh sorry, I mean the General has arrived! The General has formed quite an army with Barnes and Leduc. I still can't believe it! I think this is the first time Bob's had a heel run in our world. This is going to be epic! After a wild fight, the Cowboys send the fans home happy, but like you said, the fans were still in shock over Armstrong. Awesome card Gene!
-
Right off the bat we get a Barnes/Fuller main event set for today! The story gets more intriguing with The General. Olympia wants a little more respect and I think I agree. The man is a legend in these parts. Travis and the Rich's put it all out there, I'm not sure who to trust LOL. Soldat will be banned, Hump throws a fit but Boris is unfazed. Ross better be on high alert. Outlaws and Cowboys have a wild brawl. This is going to sell a lot of tickets for this Monday night. And here we go! The Fiesta Garden is back! Bleh has not lost his touch. LOL, only Madril could point out the confusion of a Jarrett led AWA. But hey, at least Madril had a good showing in the War Games. Of course he needs a sidekick and we are introduced to Plowboy Martinez. The interactions were priceless. Brickhouse gets in Madril's face, a beatdown ensues and we have a match set. This was too good. Madril was on his A game. All is right in the game. I'm so glad to see the Jack Hart gimmick. He deserves some love and this gimmick will get him some. Barnes goes nuts by attacking Jackson and strapping Fuller! We get an added strap match this Monday and Barnes might seriously regret this. I agree with Kev, you've done an amazing job putting this roster together and giving us some must see TV, which will pack the houses.
-
Ladd's the best! I love how he's so into what's going on. The Gauntlet match is set and the stakes are high. Tully and Dark Journey keep Gordon guessing. Steiner beats Furnas in a battle of powerhouses. Missy's the center of the show tonight and what a story it was. After finally convincing Tom to help her, we find out it was all a ruse! Gilbert goes nuts and hangs Tom. Big time heat! What a great angle! As if the Freebirds didn't have enough on their plate, Hayes vows to get revenge on Gilbert. Nikita looks dominant as he heads into a showdown with Williams. Big card coming to the Centroplex. I have a feeling a lot is going to go down.

AWA @ The Mayo Civic Center, Rochester MN 9-18-87 Kokina defeated Stoney Burke with the Samoan Drop The Teamsters (Spike Huber and Dale Veasey) defeated Gene Ligon and Tim Patterson with a double gourd buster on Patterson Kerry Brown w/Rip Oliver defeated AWA World Tag Champ Snowman w/The Bruise Brothers- Kerry got the win with a small package. Atlas and Cameron attacked Oliver on the outside and rammed him into the steel post. Snowman clotheslined Kerry from behind. Atlas and Cameron grabbed steel chairs and got in the ring. Snowman swung Kerry to the ropes, Atlas and Cameron put Kerry down with double chair shots to the head. Kerry was a bloody mess and had to be stretchered out. How will this affect the Cripplers vs. Bruise Brothers World tag title match next week? The British Bombers defeated The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin by DQ- Norvell caused the DQ. Afterwards, the Bombers stereo clotheslined the Midnights over the top rope. Smith then clipped Norvell behind the knees as Taylor nailed Norvell with a running forearm blast. The fans loved it. "Dynamite" DJ Peterson defeated Scorpio- Scorpio looked awesome using his high flying offensive moves, but in the end, DJ put him down with a flying shoulder block from the top rope. AWA TV Champ Nick Busick and AWA National Tag Champs The Technicians vs. Billy Jack Strong and The Quebec Coalition w/Frenchy Martin Action packed match that goes past 30 minutes. Everybody wrestled with intensity and focus. Busick and Strong gave the fans a few good power move exchanges. Technicians and Quebecs went round and round with aggressive scientific wrestling along with hard hitting moves. In the end, Frenchy hit Fleming's shoulder with the Quebec Flag as Strong followed with a shoulder breaker for the win. Afterwards Strong pointed at Busick and motioned around his waist. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. Tatsumi Fujinami This one more than delivered. The fans were all in as former AWA World Champ Steamboat and former AWA World Tag Champ and Crockett Cup winner Fujinami went all out. Both men pulled out their entire arsenal but couldn't put the other down. The match was full of chain wrestling, suplexes, flying presses, submission moves, multiple near falls, high risk maneuvers and pure guts. The 60 minute time limit expired and the fans gave them a standing ovation. The cheers got louder when Steamboat and Fujinami shook hands and hugged.

Coast to Coast now has a legitimate claim for a title shot. Cactus unleashes all his frustrations and sends a serious message. Texas Red comes back in a big way. Can't wait for more Red/Bubba brawls! I've always admired your attention to continuity and history. That Smothers promo was a perfect example. Morton shows a lot of fire. The Diamond Exchange have taken Pacific by storm. Cow Palace, Rick refuses to be in his brother's shadow as he continues to impress. Smothers light is shining bright as gets the fall in one wild 10 man tag match! The Wild Things will no doubt be the future, but for now British Steel has a firm grip on their titles. I think Rose is on borrowed time. There's a lot of men gunning for him. I hope Teijo and AOD are well paid. Bomb Squad prove their title win was no fluke. Hennig scores the pin and just might be the next Pacific champ. Bock vs. Hennig matches always deliver! Fresno, Pierre and Cactus could be a barn burner of a feud. Man, Young is really trying hard. Anvil might be ruthless but he knows when to show respect. Harts vs. Sawyers is what fantasy booking is all about. Pillman and Brookshire prove the LHW division is still a hot ticket. Ed retains against Jarrett. Who else wants to see a Gantner vs. Gantner TV title match? I know I do!
-
Damn, the Nasties mean business as they destroy the Patriots. Untouchables have been riding high, but the Road Warriors are in town! The Road Warriors are all the buzz right now but I'll also be keeping an eye on Badd Co. I can't wait for the RnR/Rockers collision. The tag team division is unreal! Poffo adds intrigue to the Savage/Jimmy Jam storyline. Abby and Kamala was the brawl we all thought it would be. Wild and Crazy! The finish cracked me up. Great stuff! Bring on Champions Carnival!
-
Misty solidifies herself as a legit champ with that big win over Singh. Of course, the Monsters get in a post match beat down. Vicky chalks up a seasons win over Starr in a solid clean match. Give Kat credit but Medusa is in a league of her own right now. Trudy puts up a serious fight but Devine's veteran heel tactics pull it out. Velvet is lucky Medusa intervened, otherwise I'm sure there would've been a title change. Good heat between Medusa and Moretti. I really like your shows flow. They're in sync and clicking on all cylinders.
-
Street gets his shot tonight. Slinker's martial arts skills couldn't save him from Boone's splash. Cyrus is making his presence known. Miss Linda has Dundee on track. Soul Man's big win over Bart moves him up the rankings. Good to see Hase and Yamada sticking together. This could be the next big team in the NWA. DWBs are going to pay. WOW! Flair and Street give the fans a 60 minute classic. Great stuff! It's nice to see Street getting a lot of love in the game. Greenville Haystacks beating 3 guys is always a sight to see. Haitian Sensation excites the crowd. Spartanburg Vice and the New Breed are vying for title shots. Adonis continues to get ready for Flair. Iceman stops the exciting Johnny Ace. After that win by the Brutha's, S&S better be on their A game. Stan the Man causes all hell to break loose with the heels standing tall.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 9-16-87 Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to another exciting edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. A lot of action for you tonight including Tom Zenk versus Phil Hickerson in our main event. Also... Thundering boos as Tommy Rich and Baby Doll head out. Baby Doll: Hold on Lance, Wildfire has something to say. Tommy grabs the mic, but the fans start chanting "You Quit! (clap clap) You Quit! (clap clap) Rich: Shut up! I never quit! The fans chants get louder. Rich: Lance! You were there! You saw the War Games. I never said I quit! The chants get louder. Rich: Lawler! It's all your fault! Fans: You Quit! (clap clap) You Quit! Rich: Shut up! That's enough! Lawler! This isn't over! October 1st the AWA will be in your backyard, the Mid South Coliseum. That's exactly where I want it to happen. I'm going to end you right there! You and me! One last match! No DQ! I'm going to put you down in front of all your family, friends and fans! You're history Lawler! Damn it! I hate you so much! Rich and Baby Doll storm off as the fans continue to chant "You Quit!" Commercial Break Crusher Blackwell vs. Sam Smith Blackwell hits the big splash and it's all over. Commercial Break Venomous w/Gama Singh vs. Del Jenkins and Clyde Putnam Venomous pulls out some high flying offense before winning the match with a double snap suplex. Gama leads them to ringside. Resnick: Gama, Venomous has been nothing short of impressive and I'm sure they will get a title shot very soon. I'm sorry, but I have to ask you, what is your affiliation with Greg Gagne and why did you interfere and cost El Canek his International title against Mike George? I mean you hit him from behind with a lead pipe. Gama: El Canek was a disgrace to the AWA. He didn't deserve to be a champion. I believe in what Greg Gagne is doing. He wants to make the AWA great again. Well, myself and Venomous are all for that. If El Canek or anyone else has a problem with that, come deal with us! And I don't need a pipe to beat Canek! Commercial Break "The Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez vs. Curtis Moore In a pre match interview, Perez says he's looking for a shot at the International title. Larry stomps away on Perez, picks him up and hits a swinging neckbreaker! Resnick: Larry Zbyszko! What was the meaning of that? Larry: You know Alvin and I had some issues after our split. However, I was willing to let that all go. Then I hear him going on about how he deserves an International title shot. Well, I couldn't let that slide. If anybody deserves a shot at any title, it's me. Not that spudhead Perez. I mean come on! Resnick: Hey, he's a War Games survivor and should get a title shot after what he went through. Larry: (pauses and looks at Resnick with a disgusted look) Greg Gagne wants to make the AWA great again. Well, firing you would be a good start. Commercial Break Polynesian Power vs. Todd Rooney and Ray Glader Kokina hits the Samoan drop as Snuka follows with the Superfly Splash for the crowd popping win. Resnick: Great win guys! Jimmy, last week Carlos Colon challenged you to a fight, one on one, no partners, no managers. What do you think? Snuka: Carlos Colon wants a fight? He's got one brutha! Resnick: There you have it. Oh and Kokina, you haven't been forgotten. I've been told that you get an International title shot on Oct. 1st in Memphis. Great news indeed. Snuka embraces Kokina. Commercial Break "The Fabulous One" Steve Keirn vs. Gil Jacobs Keirn survived the War Games and comes back looking better than ever. He hits a devastating reverse DDT for the win! Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as Corporal Kirchner and Jesse Barr battle to a wild double c.o. they keep fighting then stop and nod to each other. Resnick: I'm standing here with both Jesse Barr and Corporal Kirchner. Kirchner: Jesse, I called you out here for a reason. I've been looking for a tag team partner and after what we did to each other last week, you're definatley what I'm looking for. I need somebody that's tough, rough, ready and a bit unhinged. Barr: You know, I've been through a couple partners here in the AWA and here I am all by myself, again. They couldn't hack it. What makes you any different? Kirchner: Because I know what being a partner is all about. I know what it means to watch somebody's back. You tag with me and I'll prove it. Barr paces swinging his bull rope. Barr: Hell, I guess I've got nothing to lose. Barr and Kirchner shake hands. Resnick: Looks like we're looking at an Uncommon Alliance. Kirchner: Resnick! I like that. Matter a fact, you can call us that. Uncommon Alliance! Kirchner waves the American Flag while Barr swings his bull rope around. Commercial Break Billy Jack Strong vs. Rory Wilson Strong presses Wilson over his head and slams him down. Strong picks up Wilson and hits a German Suplex for the win. Resnick: You and Nick Busick had a barn burner at Collison and in 2 weeks you will get a rematch for the AWA TV title. Strong: Busick! You gave me a fight and I loved it! I took your best move on the concrete and I'm still standing! Your times up. That TV title is mine! Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing pink 'Beauty Shop' sign, then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: No time for small talk! I have big news! I wont be here next week because I have a very reliable tip on the whereabouts of Gerry Morrow! I'm coming soon Gerry! Ok, I do have a show to do this week and it's a good one. Last week we all saw the arrival of Professor Bill Ash. He purchased the contract of Kevin Kelly and is forming a team called the Honor Roll. Well, tonight, because it all happens here, we're going to find out who Kelly's partner will be. Please welcome out Professor Ash and Kevin Kelly. Ash and Kelly kiss Brenda's hand. Ash: Brenda, I can't think of a better way to arrive to the AWA then to be on your show, not once but twice! Britton: Awwww, thank you! Ash: As you know, my first piece of the Honor Roll is the Magnificent one himself, Kevin Kelly. Kelly does a double bicep pose. Ash: It's now time for the other piece. Introducing the beast himself, Rip Morgan! Kelly looks puzzled and Brenda backs up as Morgan comes out stomping and huffing. Kelly: Professor, I'm with you but do you really expect me to team with this monster? Ash: I sure do! Think about it. Look at the two of you. You both have size, strength and a mean streak. You guys will tear up the competition. I've thought about this a long time and you two together are unstoppable! You two are the total sum. The Honor Roll is born and I'm so confident in your abilities as a team that I've signed a match against the British Bombers next week in Milwaukee. The Honor Roll is going to beat a top ranked team in their first match! Ash is nodding with approval. Kelly still doesn't look convinced as Morgan continues to huff and stomp around. Britton: Ok, Professor Ash and the Honor Roll aren't wasting any time. Will this work? I think it will. Until next time tooooodles. Resnick starts to talk but Idol cuts him off. Idol: Hold on darling! You're out here talking about the War Game survivors. Hey, I'm here! I survived and my team should've won! You praise that jerk off Keirn! That dope can't lace my boots on his best day! He aint fabulous, he's a nothing! From now on he's Stupid Steve Keirn! Cheers as Keirn comes out. Keirn: You know Idol, you have a big mouth for a guy that got busted up pretty dang bad in the War Games. Idol turns around, then turns back and takes a swing, Keirn ducks and knocks Idol down with a punch. Officials quickly swarm the scene. However, Tommy Rich says it isn't over and has challenged you to a No DQ match in Memphis on October 1st. Lawler: Wait, isn't he the guy who quit? Lance laughs as the fans cheer. Lawler: Tommy Rich! One last time in Memphis sounds pretty damn good to me! It all started there and I'm going to finish it there. Lance, I would add an I Quit stipulation to our match, but Tommy already said those words. Lance: (Laughing) Ok fans, it's official. Jerry Lawler vs. Tommy Rich, NO DQ at the Mid South Coliseum on October 1st. I'll see you next week.

Furnas comes in hot with a win over Brooks. Robley's monsters are unleashing havoc in Mid South. Fun story going with Gilbert and Prichard. These guys (and of course Missy) can pull this off with ease. Ladd will be counting money. Wright's Christians once again get the better of Spoiler and Baron. Tully's just to cunning. He'll be in the title picture soon. Freebirds retain thanks to the Christians. Man, Hayes has a lot of enemies LOL. I wonder how the Commonwealth will react. In an epic blow off, JYD, Wahoo and Williams stand tall after putting the Russians down at their own game. Great moment.

Olympia gets the fans in a good mood. Boris is put over strong. Action and Uptown give the fans 15 minutes of work rate wrestling. Rematch! Ross wins one for the USA but takes a beating from both Russians. Ross is going to need an ally. Obviously Travis has some sore issues with the Richs and makes them pay. I'm liking this story. After a chaotic match, Los Mega Starrs walk out with the titles. Good call. Cowboys and Outlaws have one heck of a brawl with no winners. We have to get a gimmick match LOL. Awesome main event that tears the house down. I loved that finish with Barnes selling like a true pro. That's dedication. Twin States is back in a big way!

Boone arrives with a splash! Glad Boone went to a good home. I enjoyed writing for him. Slinker puts his martial arts skills to good use. Slick's interference backfires and Jumping Joe takes advantage to even things up with the Brutha's. I hope Yamada and Hase don't get to discouraged. No shame in losing to the Andersons in their debut. Donovan gives McGee a match, but the Mega Man continues to shine. WOW! Hawk just found out, never underestimate Street's toughness. This is what made Street special. Commonwealth defiantly has the edge going into the tag title bout. Worldwide, Good showcases for Siva, Cyrus and the Bees. Lightfoot gets the TV title shot. Lightfoot's been on a serious streak and might be the one to dethrone the Mega Man. Bees vs. DWBs in a street fight. Bring it on! Can't wait for Wright's arrival. He had a tremendous run last time. YES! The Starrcade Cup is back. I thought this was a great idea.

Johnny V and Platt's bantering adds so much to the show. Action Jackson arrives with his Jr. title, but can he hold off Uptown Brown? I'm curious to what Barnes had to say. Come on Lester! Oh, how this game's missed the Fiesta Garden! The Starrs make sure Blackstone's off to a rocky start. LOL, great heel move. Humps coming in with some serious Russian muscle. Blackstone gets a much better interview with Ross. USA! USA! USA! Mr. Olympia is coming home! On that note, Cooley's back and so are the Cowboys! We have a real showdown coming up. Fire and Flame make an immediate impact with a fireball, but the heat is put out with a suspension. Maybe Johnny's right, Davey shouldn't have moved LOL. Can't wait for the first big card. You've put together some great stories in a short amount of time.

I'm all for a Kamala/Abby battle of the monsters! Looks like it's going to happen. Rockers look sharp as they tune up for RnR. Jayhawks attack the Warriors. Nasties claim everybody is ducking them. Patriots answer the challenge. Great way to get heat on 4 teams in one match. RnR vs. Savage and Jimmy Jam is a classic that ends in chaos. Rockers get one over on RnR but what might be a bigger story is how Savage will react to what just happened to Liz. Kabuki and Khan are not to be overlooked. Slater and Orton (along with Jones) are a slight notch above Casey and Irwin. I do think you're onto something with Casey and Irwin. The elimination match rocked! Everything you could ask for. Race stands tall in the end and it looks like the Untouchables will have the last laugh. HOLD ON! The Road Warriors are here!!!! NO WAY! That helicopter entrance was off the charts. Incredible moment that WCPW will be talking about for years.
