The round tables have added so much to the storylines. Good work on a very creative idea. Well it was only a matter of time before Sullivan drew Roop in. Sullivan will do anything it takes to get Maha back. Smart move getting Lawler out there on the mic. Humperdink's building an army of his own and Black Tiger's coming in. As each week passes another layer is added. This is what keeps viewers tuning in. After watching that promo, Humperdink might want to enlist Roop. Hansen vs. Leduc will be chaos!

AWA TV Special- Title Night 2-4-88 From the Mecca in Milwaukee Ken Resnick: Hello AWA fans, it's great to be back with you and here at the very first Title Night. 5 tremendous title matches lined up. Before we get things going, I'm here with the AWA TV champ Nick Busick. Nick, you were scheduled to face Rip Oliver, but thanks to Ray Stevens, Oliver will not be able to wrestle. Larry Zbyszko has been announced as the substitute. You were allowed a week to prepare but chose to defend that title tonight. Are you sure you want to do that? I know you've been having issues with your shoulder. Busick: Yea, this shoulder has caused me some issues. Because I was getting it looked at yesterday, I was unable to watch Billy Jack's back. I felt I should've been there for him since he was there for me. As far as defending the TV title tonight. I said I would be a fighting champ and I've been just that for over a year. Ken, I'll be ready for Zbyszko. Resnick: Ok, there you have it. Let's get the night going. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Venomous (C) vs. The Technicians Venomous defeated the Technicians at SuperClash to win the titles. Technicians were prepared for the rematch until an unexpected attack by Mean Streak tampered that. Technicians were obviously still feeling the effects but managed to keep Venomous grounded with some solid mat work. Technicians turned things up with some intense grappling and scientific wrestling. Venomous got things going their way and turned things way up the high flying offense. The wear and tear caught up with the Technicians as Cobra hit a superplex on Fleming and Kat followed with a moonsault for the win. Afterwards, Venomous helped Fleming up and shook hands with the Technicians. Slams, clotheslines, back drops, forearm smashes. Busick's rock'n and roll'n. Busick clotheslines Zbyszko over the top rope. Zbyszko staggers around on the outside and now plays the stalling game. Busick gets impatient and goes out after him. Zbyszko rakes his eyes and swings Busick towards the steel post, Busick reverses it and swings Zbyszko into the steel post. The Glamour Boys control early and take the champs off their game with high octane offense and impressive chemistry. Bruise Brothers come back hard and really punish the Glamour Boys. However, the Glamour Boys just wont quit. This irritates and angers the Bruise Brothers and they inflict more pain and punishment. The Glamour Boys have the comeback of a lifetime as incredible adrenaline kicks in. They double back drop Atlas and double dropkick Cameron out of the ring. The Glamour Boys go to opposite top ropes. Winners of the Match and STILL AWA World Tag Team Champs- The Bruise Brothers AWA World Title Bout Bad News Brown (C) vs. 'The Latin Heartthrob' Al Perez Big time main event feel. The Holly's get a big confidence building win. Watch out NOE, because the Bulldozer has drawn the line. Something as simple as a name change can work wonders. Pierre earning Anvil's respect is pretty damn impressive. Sin City Superstars pull out an old trick on the Force. Rose has taught them well. WOW! First, I was surprised Cornette chose Christopher but oh man I wasn't expecting Vic to show up. It all pays off. Cornette is a very smart man. Portland, Going the distance with the Malenkos is a moral victory for the Weapons. St. Clair vs. Buzz! Bring it on! Tony defiantly lived up to his tough moniker. Maxx has become one of PCW's baddest monsters. Nice throwback match with Rose and Haynes. I like this SCS/FOJ feud going on. Backlund is the greatest scientific heel of all time. Even in defeat, Jimmie Lee made a name for himself. Hennig is such a great underdog champ. Eugene, Cornette is quickly working wonders with Christopher. How did you think of this pairing? Genius! Furnas has really gotten his power over. AD said it best. RIP Perez. Cheetah has had some momentum going but Cactus put a stop to it tonight. If he keeps these kinds of wins up, Hall might be looking at a lengthy CA title run. Barnburner tag title match to end the night. I popped when I saw this match posted. Looks like we're going to get more. Oh yea!

Paul Jones has his Moondogs looking like serious threats. Jaggers is always a solid hand. Morgan's path of destruction continues in the NWA. The Commandos and Trinity would be some fun brawls to watch. Garvin kos the Gigolo. Hase walks out with a big win over Kabuki. Taylor vs. Manny is a perfect main event for this venue. Fun match. Greenville, Finlay gets his big shot. Having the Andersons mentor young Brad is a great way to build this kid. First Gigolo gets ko'd and now Chic gets the Combat kick. Not a good wknd for Radiance LOL. Kaz and Bart have a fun little feud going. I can see Borne really breaking out this year, especially with Jones in his corner. New Breed add more heat with the SPC. Tully and Wright would be a real treat. Flair continues to retain against all comers.

Billy Jack Strong takes on Cannonball Griz. So much action so let's get to the ring. Synergy vs. Llyod Brougham and Cecil Tyler Synergy is riding high tonight and finish things off with a double dropkick. While they're celebrating, Diamond Dallas Page comes to ringside with a mic. DDP: Listen up because DDP has something to say. You two hot shots seem to think you're the hot new team in the AWA. However, everybody knows BA double D Company is what's happening. If you don't believe me, then check it out. Badd Co. sneaks into the ring. Synergy turns around and Badd Co. nails them with stereo karate kicks! DDP: See ya! Commercial Break 'The Wild One' Johnny Rich vs. Todd Rooney 'The Wild One' by Jerry Lee Lewis plays as Rich makes his way to the ring. Commercial Break We come back and see Gerry Morrow eating dinner at a classy restaurant. Mike George (bandaged forehead) rolls Greg Gagne up in his wheelchair. Morrow: Ahhhhhhh Greg, Mike, welcome, welcome. How are you feeling? Gagne: Look at us Gerry. That heathen Austin Idol clocks Mike with brass knuckles last week and tips over my wheelchair, with me in it! He's an animal! An animal, I say! Morrow: Ok Greg, I hear you and feel your pain. What can I do? Gagne: (deep breath) Gerry, as you know Mike and that animal Idol will square off for the Mid American title this weekend at title night. With Mike focused on that, what I need is some muscle. Someone to watch my back. I need a favor Gerry. Morrow: I always liked you Greg, so go ahead and ask. Gagne: I want you to reinstate Crusher Blackwell. With a crazy man like Idol on the loose and now those nutcase Guerreros are here, I need Crusher. Morrow: AHHHHHHH Crusher Blackwell. Well, I do feel partially responsible for his breakdown. I'll tell you what Greg. You pay a bit of a fine and I'll be more than happy to reinstate him. I must warn you. Eventually El Canek will return and when he does, he will get his match with Blackwell. I mean Blackwell did cost him de Mid American title. What's fair is fair. Gagne: I can live with that. Thank you Gerry. Gagne's Gang will be stronger than ever. Idol, Canek, the Guerreros, nobody will stop us, nobody! Morrow: Dats de spirit. De kind I expect in de new AWA. Commercial Break 'Mr. Magnificent' Kevin Kelly w/The Vin Man vs. Sam Smith Vinnie is all smiles as Kelly clamps on the full nelson and slams Smith down for the win. Nelson: Well, it appears Kevin Kelly and the Vin Man are back together again. Vin: You can say that again! Reunited and it feels oh so good! We're back with a vengeance and we've already settled our old score with Doofus DJ Peterson. I'm telling you Kev, this time nothing's going to keep us down. Yea! Kelly smiles and gives the camera a double bicep pose. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, as you know the AWA's first Title Night will take place tomorrow night at the Mecca in Milwaukee. 5 big title matches on live TV. What a deal. With me right now is Rip Oliver. Rip, you have a big TV title shot against Nick Busick. I know you have something to say. Oliver: Getting an AWA title shot is a golden opportunity. No doubt about it. Now I know Nick's shoulder has been a serious issue and he took some more damage a couple weeks ago. I also know that no matter what, Nick will be at the Mecca. Right now I want to tell Nick that if he wants to post pone our match, I'm all good with that. I want to make sure I wrestle a Nick Busick that's a hundred percent. The fans start cheering. Nelson: My goodness! The Crippler Ray Stevens is here! Stevens: Emphasis on the word Crippler. Rip Oliver, you've been walking around with the Crippler moniker and believe me I've been watching. When I returned to the AWA a few months back, I didn't use the Crippler name because I respected you. Oliver: Ray, I can't tell you what that means to me. Stevens: Hold on. Lately I've noticed that you aren't really that guy anymore. I thought you might've lost your edge. Wasn't quite sure. But after hearing you just now, I can firmly say you have lost your edge. As a matter of fact, you've disgraced the Crippler name and you've disgraced me. If Busick has a hurt shoulder, then you attack that shoulder and win the TV title! What the hell is the matter with you? Oliver: Ray, all I was saying was that... WHAM! Ray knocks Oliver down. Ray stomps away on Oliver, picks him up and piledrives him on the concrete! Nelson: Ray! Stop! We need help out here! Commercial Break Hector and Chavo Guerrero w/Mando vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez The fans are loving the action as the Guerreros hit a double vertical suplex on Lopez. Hector swings Lopez to the ropes as Chavo hits a flying press for the win. Nelson: Fans, Rip Oliver was stretchered out and will need serious medical attention. I still can't believe the actions of Ray Stevens. Right now I want to bring over the Guerreros. You guys made a triumphant debut in Louisville when you beat the Fortunate Ones. Mando, I'm sure you liked that. Mando: Hey, Gagne's so called gang injured me. I was down but instead of crying I went out and got a gang of my own. Familia! Hector and Chavo! I have their backs and they have mine! Commercial Break Trent Watkins vs. Neil Jordan The wrestlers are ready for action but from out of nowhere ABBUDA IAUKEA hits the ring and beats both men down with a kendo stick! Abbuda hurls Jordan out of the ring, then clamps the camel clutch on Watkins. Abbuda tosses Watkins aside and goes to the outside. Nelson: Abbuda! What are you doing here? Abbuda: Carlos Colon! You put my father out of the AWA! Did you think I would just let that go? That I would forget about it? After all he did for you, you betray him and hurt him. Now it's your turn to feel real pain. I have one goal and that's to rid you from the AWA. Not only that, but I want to do it in the most violent way possible. I challenge you to a Carribean Death Match! Your so called specialty. Do you have the guts Colon? Officials are helping Trent Watkins. Abbuda runs over and hammers away on Watkins. Abbuda grabs Watkins by his hair and goes right up to the camera and yells 'Colon! Colon!" Then slaps Watkins across the face. Commercial Break Highlights of the Jumbo Tsuruta/Tatsumi Fujinami SuperClash 2 match are shown. It was announced that the rematch will take place in Japan and will be shown on US TV. That happens in 2 weeks! 'Gentleman' Chris Adams w/Baby Doll vs. Harold Bannister Adams hits the superkick and it's all over! Nelson: Last week Baby Doll sprayed Nikita Koloff's eyes with pepper spray and Adams followed that up with a superkick. You both better be prepared when Nikita returns. Baby Doll: If he returns. (laughs) A big if. Adams: We warned Nikita and he chose to take it lightly. I said I am the biggest star in the AWA and I proved it by putting Nikita down and out. I don't really get all his hype. He isn't nearly as tough as everybody made him out to be. Rather disappointing. Nelson rolls his eyes. Commercial Break Billy Jack Strong vs. Cannonball Griz w/Norvell Austin We've got a big man slugfest going on. Strong gets the upper hand, swings Griz to the ropes and goes for a shoulder block but both men remain standing. Griz rakes Strong's eyes, swings him to the ropes and goes for a shoulder block and once again neither man goes down. Griz pushes Strong and goes for a clothesline but Strong ducks, turns around and sends Griz over the top rope with a running clothesline! Norvell gets on the apron and argues with the Ref. While that's happening, Kokina hits the ring and clotheslines Strong from behind. Norvell keeps arguing with the Ref. Kokina picks up Strong and hits the Samoan Drop. Professor Ash leads Kokina back up the aisle. Griz slides back into the ring. Norvell shouts instructions. Griz hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a splash on Strong 1..2..3! Norvell runs in and does a super bowl celebration. The Ultimate Warrior is on the screen. He's shaking and yelling. "Fear is the first taste of defeat. The Warrior only breathes the air of the brave. And the Warrior only feasts on the fruit of victory! The Ultimate Warrior is coming soon to the AWA!

Bees defiantly get the fans warmed up with that exciting win. I do like Sabu and Taz teaming up at this point. Iceman's return probably didn't go down the way he wanted as Muta looked freak'n awesome. Road Warriors and Rockers tear it up in a classic until the Twin Towers come out and give the Road Warriors a beating. Rockers win the titles! Now we're heading into a colossal RWs/TTs feud. Great stuff. The Chi Town Rumble was really well written. Kamala and Spivey looked like beasts. The Freebirds played the numbers game. Dusty as a surprise entrant, going at it with Race. And of course the dramatic finish with Savage standing tall in the end. Huge moment. The pictures were great! Very creative storytelling. Steamboat puts Bigelow down and is the new WCW world champion! Your pieces are in place and WCW is ready to explode.

AWA @ The Louisville Gardens 1-29-88 United Kingdom defeated Gene Ligon and Salvatore Bellomo- Taylor put Bellomo down with a running forearm blast and Haystacks followed with a big elbow drop. Kokina w/Professor Bill Ash defeated Corporal Kirchner- Kirchner came to fight and really took it to Kokina. The end came when Kirchner went for a Thesz Press but Kokina held on and used the momentum to drop Kirchner on the top rope. Kokina followed with a Samoan Drop and it was all over. 'Mr. Magnificent' Kevin Kelly w/The Vin Man defeated 'Dynamite' DJ Peterson- DJ had Kelly pinballing all over the place. DJ was set to put Kelly away with a superplex but Vinnie reached in and tripped DJ. Kelly fell on top and the Ref counted to 3 as Vinnie held onto DJ's foot. In the next match, The Fortunate Ones (Jerry Stubbs and Gary Young) are in the ring. They had signed an open match. They address the absent of Greg Gagne due to injuries suffered by Austin Idol (Big Pop) They said they're going to take out their aggression on the pathetic team stupid enough to have signed to face them. Huge pop as Mando Guerrero comes to ringside and announces he found a team to face them. Fortunate Ones are laughing at him but that stops when Mando announces their opponents will be his brothers Hector and Chavo! The Fortunate Ones vs. Hector and Chavo Guerrero w/Mando The fans go wild as the Guerreros storm the ring with fists flying. The match turns into a barnburner that keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. Say what you want but Stubbs and Young have quickly become a cohesive unit. However, tonight belongs to the Guerreros. Both teams are in the ring fighting. Fortunate Ones swing the Guerreros into the ropes but miss stereo clotheslines, Guerreros swing back and hit stereo body presses as the Ref counts both men down. The fans are up and cheering the Guerreros AWA debut win. The Dream Machine vs. Scott 'Powerhouse' Putski Putski took it to Dream and had him comically bouncing from one end of the ring to the other. Putski was full of energy and brought out all the power moves. He swings Dream into the corner and follows with a running clothesline. He swings Dream into the opposite corner and goes for another running clothesline but Dream moved. Putski hit hard as Dream rolled him up with a hand full of tights for the pin. Synergy (Brian Adias and Ricky Rice) vs. Badd Co. w/DDP Both teams recently came into the AWA with some buzz. They wrestled each other on TV with Badd Co. emerging victorious. Tonight, these teams went at each other with a fever pace. The match was a see saw battle with both teams showing off incredible skills and chemistry. The match ends in a draw when 15 minutes went by just like that. DDP wanted 5 more minutes. Synergy accepted but DDP changed his mind and led his men out of there. Carlos Colon vs. 'The Living Legend' Larry Zbyszko Colon saw Larry's stalling tactics coming a mile away and decided to nip it quick by pounding on Larry as soon as the bell rang. Colon had the fans jumping as he tore into Larry the first few minutes. Larry turned things around by stopping Colon's momentum with a mule kick. Larry took over and really worked Colon over for the next few minutes. Larry goes for a piledriver but Colon back drops him. Colon makes the classic babyface comeback and has Larry in serious trouble. Larry cuts that off with a vicious eye rake. Larry turns it up with a combination of rule breaking and brutal technical wrestling to wear Colon down. Larry goes for a neckbreaker but Colon counters with a jaw breaker. As Larry staggers up, Colon hits a quick sunset flip 1..2..3! Big POP!!! Colon celebrates as Larry berates the Ref.

The tag tournament was a lot of fun. Every team looked strong (even the Nasties LOL) but it's the Rockers going on to face the Road Warriors. Rockers have serious momentum and they'll need every bit of it. With all the big angles going on, I like the in between TV matches that gives the rest of the roster a chance to shine. The battle of the Bam Bams could be a huge match down the road. Hopefully a seed was planted here. Crazy ending that heats up Chi Town Rumble. Can't wait for Bigelow/Steamboat!

Hard to argue Gilbert's points. He did do everything he said he was going to do. Next step is the tag titles but will Rick be able to go against his brother? Gilbert may be so called family, but Scott is blood. Very intriguing. Ladd takes a serious shot at Watts and retires the NA title. One thing about Ladd is he's not afraid to ruffle the heels feathers. Looking forward to JYD and Dibiase, while Snake waits. Awesome Mid South angle with the biggest Mid South names. Super D and Duggan is going to be a banger! Ladd is making things happen. Luger vs. Death with Vader suspended in the cage. I have a feeling Woman will find a way around this. Damn! Cox gets the beating of a lifetime and does the stretcher job. Nuclear heat for Wahoo and Uncle Ivan. I can't imagine who Mudoch is bringing in. Your stories are being bult up so well with some great pay offs ahead. Mid South at its best!

Blackman and Snow form the Lethal Weapons. Perfect timing as this will benefit both men. RPG and the Destruction Crew are being built up well for their feud with Cornette and the Midnights. Owen gets the best of Cuban Assassin but I'm sure there's a lot more to come. Bull Pain wins the match and inflicts more punishment. He's one bad heel. Pillman has a list of challengers coming after him. Cheetah Kid is at the top. Man, Widowmaker is looking better than ever. He's knocking down the Brigade one by one. Vancouver, Anvil pulls it out, but Pierre came out looking strong. Young Spicoli got some valuable wrestling experience from St. Clair. Severn is in beast mode. Golden Guns fire is put out by the Wild Things. Backlund may have lost the CA title but he's still standing tall as Submission champ. Hitman and Mad Dog have a chaotic ending. More please! Kelowna, Snow must have been all smiles getting the fall on his former partner. Southern Boys get back on the winning track. Hollys are showing some promise. Love that Sawyer/Flowers finish. Add Cyrus's name to the LHW contenders list. Fun fast paced tag title match to end the night. Coast to Coast remain on top of a very stacked tag division. Hennig vs. Windham. Hitman vs. Anvil. Two dream matches! Can't wait! The competition in PCW is at an all time high!
-
Man, that Black Bart is a crafty one. Will Kaz eventually get payback? New Breed better get ready because the SPC are fired up. Nothing like seeing the Horsemen on a well deserved vacation. Taylor fits in so well. This was such a great way to make the fans hate them even more. Pitbull Kerry Brown is back in the game! Garvin has a successful debut but its spoiled by Radiance. I wonder what this was all about???? RnR gives a pumped up promo. These guys are so over! Their feud with Street and Dundee could turn into something really big. These teams match up so well. Morgan is a monster! I popped when Hase and Yamada helped SSM against Jones Army. This will really elevate them. Worldwide continues to let the mid carders shine. Fuller vs. SSM is a very interesting match up. I liked the format. Perfect blend of promos and matches. Easy to follow and the storylines flowed well.

Puerto Rican superstar Chicky Starr makes his AWA debut. All that and so much more. Let's get to the ring for the return of the Gunslingers. The Gunslingers vs. Sam Smith and Neil Jordan Judging by the fans reaction, they're happy to see the Gunslingers back in the saddles again They haven't lost a step and finish things off with a double running bulldog! They stand on opposite corners smiling and make pistol shooting motions to the fans. Nelson: Fans, this weekend the AWA comes to the Louisville Gardens. You'll see Carlos Colon take on Larry Zbyszko. Another match signed will be Scott Putski taking on my guest at this time, Dream Machine. Dream, big match ahead, but I have to ask, have you rebounded from that huge defeat at SuperClash 2 from Nikita Koloff? Dream: You get'n smart with me boy! What happened at SuperClash was the fluke of the century! The Ref screwed me! You know it and all these idiots know it. That's the end of that. I'm more focused than ever and that toddler Putski is going to find out what the Dream Machine is all about! Bet on that babay! Commercial Break The Technicians vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Technicians are tuning up for their upcoming National tag title rematch with Venomous at Title Night. Rheingans hits a gut wrench suplex on Lopez, then tags in Fleming. Fleming finishes things off with the rear naked chokehold. As they're celebrating, the fans get distracted by two men riding motorcycles down the aisle. They stop and rev up a few times. They get off their motorcycles. Their wearing black pants and long leather jackets. The Technicians are wondering what's going on. The two men pull out some small chains and wrap them around their black gloves. They hit the ring and attack the Technicians! They pound down on them with their chained wrapped fists. They keep pounding until Fleming and Rheingans are a bloody mess. They pick up Rheingans and double choke slam him. They pick up Fleming and double choke slam him down. They stand tall and raise their fists. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness! The Technicians have been helped out by our medical staff. I have...oh wait these two men are coming over here. Hey! I know you guys and what was that all about? Man: Yea you do! I'm Mike Miller and this here is Brian Adams! You're looking at Mean Streak! We do what we want to whoever we want and we're serving notice to all the AWA tag teams! Technicians, you were first on the list! Adams: Mean Streak is here and you all better get used to it cuz we aint going anywhere! Nelson: Very intimidating, we'll be right back. Commercial Break 'The Wild One' by Jerry Lee Lewis blasts as we see a red convertible 68 Mustang spin out and stop. The dust settles and the door opens. Out walks Johnny Rich. "The past couple of years has been a roller coaster ride for Johnny Rich. I've been hated, loved and everywhere in between. It was time to clear my head and just drive. You never know where the road will take you but the road I'm on goes right to the AWA." Johnny smiles, gets back in the mustang, blasts more Jerry Lee Lewis and peels out. 'The Wild One' Johnny Rich is coming to the AWA! Billy Jack Strong vs. Leo Lennix Strong easily overpowers his opponent throughout the match and finishes things off with a shoulder breaker. Nelson: Billy, myself, all these fans, Professor Ash, Kokina and especially Nick Busick were all shocked to see you come to Busick's aid last week. I mean you and Busick are coming off one of the biggest feuds in AWA history. So, I have to ask, why did you do it? Strong: One word, respect! I have no problem admitting that Nick Busick has been my greatest foe. Him and I went at each other with everything we had. We battered, beat and bloodied each other up. However, we did it face to face, man to man. Kokina and that flunky Ash took the coward's route. I wasn't going to let that happen. If Kokina and flunky want some more, I'm not a hard man to find! Commercial Break Winner gets a TV title shot at Title Night 'Crippler' Rip Oliver vs. 'Quebecer' Richard Charland w/Frenchy Martin Oliver remains focused as Frenchy waves the Quebec Flag. He swings Rooney to the ropes and puts him down with a double thrust. Chicky swings off the ropes and hits a corkscrew elbow drop for the win. Chicky wipes his sweat with his towel, then throws it down on his fallen opponent. Commercial Break The Original Midnight Express and Cannonball Griz w/Norvell Austin vs. Paul Romero, Luke Frost and Burt Cooper Midnight's hit a double flapjack as Griz follows with a big splash from the middle ropes for the impressive win. Norvell gets between the Midnights and Griz for a post match pose. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the pink glowing 'Beauty Shop' sign, then pans down on Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody! Is this new AWA exciting or what? All thanks to you Gerry! Well have I got a treat for you all tonight. I have the biggest superstar in the AWA as my guest. After all, this is my first show under Gerry's management, so it had to be big. Please welcome out the AWA world champion, Bad News Brown! Brown comes out in his buttoned down suit with the world title on his shoulder. He's all business as he stares down at Brenda. Britton: Mr. Brown, I have to say, you are without a doubt the greatest AWA world champion of all time. Way better than sissies like Jerry Lawler and Ricky Steamboat. Brown: Beat em both! Britton: Yes you did! I mean, you've beaten everybody! I guess next up is that guy who thinks he's a real ladies man, Al Perez, yuck! Brown: Perez is nothing but a spineless cockroach! That fool doesn't belong in the ring with me. I don't care how many War Games he's survived or how many taped fist matches he's won. He's never faced anyone like me and trust me, that's bad news for him! Britton: Well said. Mark my words, Bad News Brown will be champ for as long as he wants. Brown turns around and walks away. Brenda gives a puzzled look but doesn't dare say anything. Britton: Until next time, tooooodles. Commercial Break 'Marvelous' Mike George w/Greg Gagne vs. Clinton Stitch George wheels Greg out on his wheelchair, then gets in the ring. George is all over his opponent and wins the match with a Russian Leg Sweep. The crowd goes nuts as Austin Idol runs out and flips Gagne's wheelchair over! Idol pulls out a pair of brass knuckles. Once again we see that muscular man with wild hair standing on top of a mountain. His back is turned, his head and arms start shaking. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Come with me Warriors!" He turns around. "For I am the Ultimate Warriorrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

Great format, the show flows really well. Glad Embry found a good home. Solid win over Powers. Really looking forward to seeing what Lawler does here. Not sure if this is the vacation he thinks it will be. Black Tiger's speed tires Bedlam. Damn! Hansen gets a double whammy with Leduc and Drake! Sullivan's putting together quite an army or is the Master behind all this? Carribean Express have quickly gotten over. Hansen makes it out in time to get some payback. This feud is going to rock! Brickhouse earns Simmons respect. Good to have friends around here. Graham and Sullivan tear it up, but the real story is the Humperdink swerve. Didn't see that coming! Wow, this feud just keeps getting better. Hope all is well. Great show!

Spot shows are a lot of fun. Because of some good TV exposure, the Moondogs, Mega Man, Kaz and Lightfoot would be cool to see at a smaller venue. And then you get an RnR vs. Stud Stable main event. How could you not go home happy. And now Greensboro, The night is off to a wild start with Abby winning the battle royal. Now the fans can look forward to an Abby/Brody main event. The big men Morgan and Candyman look strong with their wins. The SPC continue to remain a threat in the tag team mix. Bart has picked up some big wins of late. The Raging Bull impresses by putting Smiley down with the flying burrito. Dundee and Finlay probably stole the show. What a match! New Breed find a way to retain over the massive Commandos. What a way to end the show as Abby and Brody go nuts. Brody gets in the last hit to stand tall.
-
Williams, JYD and Murdoch are fired up tonight. Although a handicap match might not be the best idea. Dibiase's investment is paying off as Nord does a number on Jake. Ok, Eddie's got something up his sleeve. Dibiase didn't get the job done and it's only a matter of time before Ladd signs the one on one. Oh man the Super Destroyer is back and is gunning for Duggan, this should be good. I knew it! Gilbert does it again. First the Freebirds and now Prichard. I wonder who's next? I wonder if Scott will be able to talk sense into his brother. I figured the numbers game would be too much as the heels end the show with a win. Great storylines going!
-
Damn! WCW is on fire! The tag team tournament has been insane! Rockers, Bees, Islanders and Nasties all look strong. All this gonig on with the Road Warriors lurking. Great story. Another great story is the US title. The no contest was a brilliant move to segue into the Chi Town Rumble. I can't wait to see Savage and the Freebirds go at it, but watch out for Spivey. And then we have the TV title gauntlet. Every title has a special and unique story. Very creative. Bigelow just watches Race and Orton dismantle Steamboat. Maybe that's the smart move. Defiantly gives him the advantage heading into the unification match. Love the influx of international star power. Introducing Konan and Cheetah Kid as champs gives them immediate credibility with the US fans. I like the Bock and Dusty roles. These legends bring a lot to the product. Bring on Chi Town Rumble!

Animal gets the win but Snow has gained some friends. I would love to see Severn and Animal go at it. Cornette and RPG finally have the verbal confrontation we've all been waiting for. RPG and the Destruction Crew draw first blood. I do agree with Coss, the tag division in Pacific is freak'n stacked! Bulldozer better get ready because the Vampires are coming after him. Rhodes and Perez get a chance to shine. Big Cat racks up yet another win. I'm enjoying his run here. Two of my favorite teams go at it with the Force coming out on top. Rose gets the win but I can tell Blackman is getting his fight back. LA Sports Arena, Didn't take long for the Sin City Superstars to get back on the winning track. Pillman puts up a damn good fight but Widowmaker prevails. Amongst the many tag teams, the Diamond Exchange continue to pick up huge wins. Cuban Assassin follows his buddies win with another win. Coast to Coast are legit! Hennig is going to have a rough road as champ dealing with challengers like Bull. However, a champ like Hennig will no doubt get the fans support, night after night. Santa Barbara, I have a feeling Undertaker's tombstone piledriver will soon be the most over move in wrestling. Look at that, Christopher pulls out the impressive win. That's a good confidence builder. Southern Boys feel the bite of the Vampires. Cyrus literally dodges a bullet. St. Clair pulls out the always reliable floating butterfly suplex to put the crazy Cactus down. Pillman once again excites the crowd. He's going to be a big draw with all these new lightweights coming in. 3 falls end an exciting night of wrestling. British Steel and Wild Things deserve a bonus for that performance.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 1-20-88 The camera pans across sleek new AWA banners hanging from the rafters. The red, white and blue AWA logo is in the middle of the new black ring canvas with gold ring ropes and posts. 'Champagne' Gerry Morrow (wearing a white suit and white fedora hat) is standing in the middle of the ring with a mic. "HAHAHAHA! Welcome to de new AWA!" The crowd roars as confetti falls from the ceiling. Commercial Break The Glamour Boys vs Sam Smith and Neil Jordan The Glamour Boys keep the excitement going with their high octane offense. The fans are on their feet as Doll hits a missile dropkick on Jordan as Simpson follows with a flying splash off the top rope (Glam Slam Thank You Maam) for the win. Larry Nelson interviews the Glamour Boys about their upcoming world tag team title shot at Title Night on February 4th. The Glamour Boys say they've been waiting a long time for this opportunity and now's the time to win the titles! Commercial Break Carlos Colon vs. Todd Rooney Judging by the fans reaction, Colon has been fully redeemed and forgiven. Colon hits a diving clothesline from the top rope for the win. Colon's excitement shows as he does a cartwheel. Nelson: Carlos, just listen to these great fans. Colon: It's incredible! Thank you! Thank you so much! Boos as Larry Zbyszko arrogantly walks out. Nelson: Come on Larry, why ruin a special moment. Larry: Do me a favor Nelson and keep your mouth shut! You know something Colon, you make me sick. This whole thing about redemption and forgiveness makes me want to puke. You begging for these spudheads affection is just pathetic. I mean, what kind of man are you? Just looking at you, I would say a very weak one. Colon: If you have a problem with me Larry, we can settle it in the ring. Until then, stay out of my way. Colon starts to walk away but Larry pushes him from behind. Colon turns around and tackles Larry! Both men are rolling around punching each other until officials come out to break it up. Commercial Break Synergy (Brian Adias and Ricky Rice) vs. Badd Company w/DDP Both teams recently made their debuts and want to get on the fast track. The match is fast paced and exciting. Both teams are looking good. After a few minutes, Synergy is in control. Adias hoists Paul Diamond up and executes an airplane spin. Adias drops him and tags in Rice. Rice goes to the top rope. Tanaka runs in but Adias knocks him back. DDP gets on the apron and distracts Adias. Diamond starts to rise as Rice hits a sunset flip off the top rope 1..2..Tanaka nails Rice with a karate kick to the face. Diamond rolls over. The Ref counts 1..2..3! Adias turns around a second too late. DDP gets in there and makes sure everybody knows Badd Co. won the match. Commercial Break Nelson: I'm standing here with the AWA operations manager Gerry Morrow. That was quite the kick off tonight. I have to say, excitement is in the air. I understand you have some special announcements to make. Morrow: AHHH Larry, excitement is de right word. De new and improve AWA is off and running. (Gerry pulls out and bag and pulls out a new championship belt) Impressive isn't it? I have decided to retire de International title and it will be replaced with dis title. Nelson: Wow! Really? And what is this this new title's name? Morrow: As you know I am not from dis country. However, I am living proof dat dis country is de land of opportunity and I will recognize dat. Dis championship belt will be known as de AWA Mid American title. Now, El Canek was to be presented with dis title but after what happened last week at de hands of Crusher Blackwell, he will be out of action for awhile. It is very tragic, but de show must go on. I have decided dat on February 4th at Title Night, Mike George will wrestle Austin Idol for de Mid America title. Best of luck to both men. Nelson: How about that! Huge news indeed. We'll be right back. We see two cowboys riding horses at full speed across a ranch as the sun sets. The Gunslingers ride again! Commercial Break 'Gentleman' Chris Adams w/Baby Doll vs. Arnie Goldstein Baby Doll claps as Adams hits the Superkick for the win. Nelson: Chris Adams, Baby Doll, I know you must be excited to be a part of the AWA. Any plans for the future? Adams: Last week I heard Nikita Koloff saying he wants to be a part of the AWA's big plans. Nikita, let's get one thing straight, Chris Adams is going to take the AWA to heights it has never seen. I'm the big star around here and you better know your place. Commercial Break 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Keith Stetson Idol gives the fans a show before finishing things off with the Las Vegas Leglock. Nelson: Austin Idol, what a tremendous opportunity you have on February 4th at Title Night. It's you and Mike George for the Mid American Title. Idol: Oh darling, 1988 is off to a great start and Austin Idol is ready for some gold brother! Boos as Mike George wheels Greg Gagne out in a wheel chair. George snatches the mic from Nelson and hands it to Gagne. Gagne: Austin Idol, I never liked you. You come out here with all this razzle dazzle but to me you're nothing but a clown. You have no business being in the ring with a technical professional like Marvelous Mike George. Be that as it may, come title night, Mike is going to simply outwrestle and outwit you on his way to putting gold back around his waist. He shouldn't have lost the title in the first place. Well, karma came back on El Canek and luck is on our side, the way it should be. Idol: Yea Greg, you're great at having goons do your dirty work. We all know what happens when you try to get involved. How's that wheel chair working out for you? Gagne: Careful Clown! You don't want to be on the Gagne Gang hitlist. Because this is what happens. WHAM! Mike George hits Idol with a pair of brass knuckles! George smiles, steps over Idol and wheels Gagne away. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, Idol was helped out of here and you can bet he'll be ready for Mike George at title night. Fans, at SuperClash 2 we all witnessed an absolute classic as Jumbo Tsuruta narrowly defeated Tatsumi Fujinami. I'm pleased to announce a rematch has been signed. Those two will meet in their homeland Japan next month and we will show you that match when it takes place. Ok...oh wait a minute, Dave Taylor is coming over. Taylor: Larry Nelson, after my British Bomber partner Johnny Smith left, I took a long time to ponder things. I've come to the conclusion that the superior wrestlers do in fact come from the United Kingdom. Now it's time to prove it. I have found a partner who believes in my cause. We are going to represent the UK with the upmost pride. Introducing my partner, Giant Haystacks! Nelson: My goodness! United Kingdom vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Awesome display as United Kingdom backs up Taylor's words. Taylor hits Lopez with a running forearm blast and tags in Haystacks. Haystacks slams Lopez and drops a big elbow for the easy win. Commercial Break Special Challenge Match! 'Dynamite' DJ Peterson vs. 'Mr. Magnificent' Keven Kelly Kelly, for some reason challenged his former long time rival DJ Peterson. Without hesitation DJ accepted. The bell rings and these two go at it. It's a slugfest! These guys go back and forth for awhile. Kelly gets the advantage and works over DJ with slams, back breakers, stomps and knee drops. Kelly clamps on a bearhug. DJ fires up and breaks it with a few ear claps. DJ comes back with a vengeance. DJ clotheslines Kelly down, swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop. DJ picks up Kelly and hits a delayed vertical suplex. DJ goes to the top rope. Kelly in desperation grabs the Ref's foot. The Ref is yelling down at Kelly, wondering what he's doing. Wait a minute! The Vin Man runs out and pushes DJ off the top rope! Kelly releases the Ref, staggers up, grabs DJ and clamps on the full nelson! Kelly swings DJ around and tosses him, then covers 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOO! Vinnie jumps in the ring and hugs Kelly. Vinnie grabs the mic. "Reunited and it feels so good. Yea!" Commercial Break We once again see the muscular specimen with wild hair standing on top of a mountain. His back is turned. He starts shaking his head. He raises his arms and starts shaking them. "Warriors! I can feel it! You can feel it too!" 'The Latin Heartthrob' Al Perez vs. Harold Bannister Perez looks crisp as he works over his opponent and finishes him off with the helicopter drop! Nelson: Al Perez, on February 4th at title night, you get the biggest opportunity of your career, an AWA world title shot against Bad News Brown. Bad News might be taking you a little to lightly. Perez: Hey make no mistake about it, I know I'm going in as the underdog but I've been winning in that role since I arrived here. I won the National tag team titles. I was on the winning War Games team and I came out victorious in a taped fist match at SuperClash 2. I've proven myself and rest assured I'm more than ready for this amazing opportunity. Bad News Brown, get ready because I'm coming at you with everything I have and more! Commercial Break AWA TV Title Bout Nick Busick (C) vs. Kokina w/Professor Bill Ash The bell rings and Ash casually walks out of the ring. He stops, looks at Busick and shakes his head. As Busick watches him exit, Kokina blasts him with a chop to the back of the head. Kokina chops away, grabs Busick and headbutts the back of his head. Kokina swings Busick to the ropes and puts him down with a big chop. Kokina picks up Busick, puts his arm behind him and hammerlock slams him down on his hurt shoulder. Kokina follows with a standing leg drop 1..2..Busick gets his foot on the rope. Ash berates the Ref. Kokina pulls Busick out, backs up and goes for a diving headbutt but Busick moves! Busick staggers up favoring his shoulder. Kokina starts to rise but Busick nails him with a knee lift. Kokina tries to rise again but Busick tags him with a running knee strike. Busick pumps his fists. Ash gets on the apron but Busick sends him flying with a running forearm. Busick hops on the middle ropes. Kokina staggers up as Busick nails him with a double axehandle 1,,2,,Kick Out. Kokina rises as Busick swings off the ropes and puts Kokina down with a diving (the healthy one) shoulder tackle 1..2..Kick Out. Busick picks up Kokina but Kokina rakes his eyes and hurls him out of the ring. Kokina clears the cobwebs and goes to the outside. Kokina goes into savage mode, grabs a chair and blasts Busick's shoulder with it. The Ref signals for the DQ. Kokina hits Busick's shoulder again with the chair. Kokina picks up Busick and rams him shoulder first into the steel post. Kokina picks up the chair again and walks towards Busick. Hold on! BILLY JACK STRONG sprints out, grabs Kokina from behind and pushes him into the steel post! What's going on here?!?! Ash has a shocked look on his face as he looks at Strong while backing up towards Kokina. Strong stands over Busick as the show ends. Title Night Special TV event Saturday February 4th From the Mecca in Milwaukee AWA World Title Bout Bad News Brown (C) vs. 'The Latin Heartthrob' Al Perez AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Bruise Brothers (C) vs. The Glamour Boys For the AWA Mid-American Title Austin Idol vs. 'Marvelous' Mike George w/Greg Gagne AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Venomous (C) vs. The Technicians AWA TV Title Bout Nick Busick (C) vs. The winner of next week's match between Rip Oliver and Richard Charland

An Alliance with Debeers, Foley and Finlay! This is going to get brutal! The Commandos get an impressive win but Radiance has an admirer. Borne beats Jaggers in a great match up. Smiley sends a message that Miss Linda has quite a stable as well. Bad timing for Starr because SSM was pissed! Paul Jones Army might've made a huge mistake. Terry Taylor is a Horsemen! I always thought he would've made a great Horsemen. Solid choice! He kicks things off with a big win over the Soul Man. Worldwide, Kaz, Bart and The Stud Stable get in good showcases. Kabuki earns a shot at SSM but I hope they were watching on Saturday because that's what they're in for. SuperBrawl is born and we already have a rematch for the tag titles signed. Things are looking good.

All good. Life's always first.

Vader begins this year's path of destruction. Ellering and Jake take some serious shots at Dibiase. Dibiase fires back with shots of his own. Thanks to some solid planning by Jake, Mighty Goliath gets some serious payback on Dibiase. Even though he didn't get the title, it was still a feel good moment and solidifies Goliath as a fan favorite. Herc and Scott are off to a great start. Cool seeing seeds planted with the Steiners. Hot Stuff Inc, are riding high but Prichard and the tag champs are coming for them. Duggan with another hard hitting TV title defense. Chaotic 6 man tag ends the show with Vader giving the heels the advantage. Bring on Vader vs. Dr. Death!
-
Finlay with Foley could be trouble for the NWA. Vets Jaggers and Johnson pull out nice wins. Trinity have been unstoppable since winning the 6 man titles. Brody ends the night in a big way. The biggest heel in the game earns a world title shot. The Candyman still can. Always liked the mysterious Kabuki. Glad he's in a good role here. I've always been a sucker for midcard feuds. The Youngbloods and Moondogs fits that bill well. Raging Bull puts the monster down. LOL! For reasons. That says it all. Flair sends the fans home really happy by retaining against Debeers. Good booking with the finish. Debeers doesn't lose any heat.
-
You've really captured the Florida feel. Awesome job referencing Roop's Maha Singh character. Looks like Sullivan's right, there might still be some Maha deep down in Roop. Like everyone else wants to know, who is the master??? Very good perspective on Graham. Like Rain said, we may not be huge fans of certain wrestlers but we can't dismiss how over they were in certain territories. The next card is stacked. Every match looks important.
-
Cornette fires a shot at RPG. We'll see how RPG responds. This could be the best verbal feud of all time. Rose recruits the Bruise Brothers. Sin City Superstars are already questioning a promised title shot, I have a feeling this could blow up on Rose. I see big things ahead for the Force of July. Loving these guys! It's funny, when Windham came out with the NOE, I immediately went to his Widowmaker character. So glad you did that. Now we can see its full potential. Another reason why I love this game. You've got a gem feud with Owen and Buzz. Snow's win over Malenko gets him immediate credibility. I think Eddie and Barr will be wearing gold soon. Cow Palace, Pierre shows Cactus that he can get a little nuts as well. Blackman's woes continue. St. Clair shows off his toughness. Grave Digger buries the Ladies Man. Force of July puts the Sin City Superstars title request on hold. Rose shows young Brian the ropes. The Brigade/NOE feud is going to set 88 on fire. Fresno, Cheetah Kid is rapidly rising the LHW ranks. Damn, beating the Southern Boys proves the Bruise Brothers are for real. The champions better not forget about Billy Jack. Windham knocks over the first Brigade domino. Nothing like two young, energetic and hungry teams going at it. Oh man I can't wait for the Hitman/Anvil TV title match! Hall is off and running as CA. Champ. Hall's had some good territory runs in our game but 88 could make him a bonafide main eventer.
