HAHAHAHAHA! Oh man Fergie got jacked!!!!! Ayala, Chicky, Fergie, Bad News and Slick, no loose ends here. Brilliant way to write off Fergie and get Chicky going. We'll see if Fergie can ever rebound from this. He better give Morrow a call. This was one of the best opening segments I've ever read. The show's momentum continues to roll as Bock and Buddy go toe to toe with the wisecracks. Gotta say, Bock held his own LOL. This could be a very interesting story. Damn, I still can't get over the quality of those first round match ups. LOL, here we go. I've been dying to hear the Rich's DVE tournament comments. Loved it! They call it like it was and made themselves look like the real winners. That's exactly how you keep the heat baby. "He has long teeth" hilarious. LOL, Bruno introduces the Dirty White Boys which is followed by a loss to the Armstrong's. DWB's get their heat back with a post match beating. I agree with Bleh, Anthony and Gilbert along with Bruno can work. Fujinami continues to get over. I liked this IWGP title match mixed in with all the Continental chaos. Speaking of chaos, main event gives us a lot of it. We didn't get an official match but I think that multi man brawl was enough to satisfy the viewers. Young Jarrett better have eyes in the back of his head after that promo by Barnes. Barnes is really doing a good job with this feud. LOL, Corvette key on a pole battle royal! What a classic 80s gimmick. The USA network execs should be patting themselves on the back. First Texas and now Continental. I'm looking at some sky rocketing ratings! Hey, with the Beauty Shop and Fiesta Garden, maybe Chicky should bring back the Sport Shop LOL. Great stuff Gene! Can't wait for the tournament.

Wow! Texas is on the USA network and gets the action going with a TV title bout. Good battle between two top babyfaces. Irwin wins the title! Adias showed some real sportsmanship in defeat. The Wild Bunch is riding high. Things take a turn as Brooks and Miller storm out. Looks like this feud is getting an encore. I don't blame Miller for being pissed LOL. The suspense is killing me! Who or what is Luscious??? I think it's hilarious we've got the same idea going and both will be answered next week. Great stuff. Oh yea, my man El Jefe wants a shot at Casey's title! I'm positive Casey will accept. I can't tell you enough the incredible job you've done with Estrada. Mantell scores another victory. Another guy you've gotten way over. Awesome debut for the Rose cousins! Loved the promo and it made total sense. That's followed by a tremendous in-ring debut. I know these guys will get over here. They really were an underrated tag team and you'll give them the shine they deserved. Yes, time for the Fiesta Garden! LOL, I'm sure Brenda was so happy to help. Only Al could get away with the two black eyes comment. Without a doubt, he'll bring huge ratings for the USA network (just like Brenda) It's official, Casey vs. El Jefe next week! That might of taken a back seat to the slap by Sunshine. Nice touch having Slinker grab her arm before a second slap. Casey better be watching out for Al. I don't think he's going to let that slap go. Another wild main event match! A frustrated Miller walks and leaves Brooks to get his head knocked off by Bart. Such a fitting official end to this great feud. I wonder if Dusek will have a heart and let Miller stay? They win the tournament and end this feud. Bart and Bass are on fire. I see some tag team gold in the near future. Tatum and Victory better be on high alert. The USA network scored big with Texas wrestling!

You great fans get to see it right here tonight. So much going on so let's kick things off with our TV title bout. TV Title Bout Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair (C) w/Les Thornton vs. "The Electrifying" Ben Bassarab Bassarab remains focused as Thornton takes the UK colored robe off Tony. Tony unstraps his title and holds it up. Thornton grabs it, shows it to Bassarab and shakes his head. The Ref signals for the bell and here we go. They lock up again and Tony clamps on another headlock. Bassarab hoists him up and executes a back suplex. Tony rolls back into the corner as Bassarab lets him know who he's dealing with. Thornton is throwing a fit and pointing up at Bassarab. They lock up again. Bassarab clamps on a headlock but Tony pushes him to the ropes, Bassarab swings back and puts Tony down with a shoulder block. Tony gets up and Bassarab scoop slams him down. Bassarab swings off the ropes and hits a high jumping knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Bassarab swings off the ropes but Thornton trips him. Bassarab stumbles forward, stops and goes back after Thornton. Bassarab goes to the outside and chases Thornton. Bassarab finally slides back in the ring but Tony meets him with a knee to the head. Tony works over Bassarab with a variety of suplexes but cant put him away. Tony swings Bassarab to the ropes, does a somersault and nails Bassarab with a diving headbutt to the mid section. Tony quickly cradles Bassarab 1..2..Kick Out. Thornton berates the Ref. Tony goes for a vertical suplex but Bassarab blocks it and suplexes Tony back! Both men are reeling. They both stagger up and have an exchange. Tony fires away with European uppercuts as Bassarab fires back with forearm blasts. Bassarab gets the upper hand, swings Tony to the ropes and puts him down with a high dropkick. Thornton gets on the apron and the fans cheer as Bassarab sends him flying with a high dropkick. Bassarab hoists Tony up and atomic drops him. Tony is wobbling and Bassarab puts him down with a clothesline 1..2..Kick Out. Bassarab picks Tony up but Tony rakes the eyes. Tony swings Bassarab to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Bassarab swings back and nails Tony with a Thesz Press but Tony holds on, carry's the momentum and hot shots Bassarab on the top rope. Tony regroups, picks up Bassarab and executes a floating butterfly suplex 1..2..3! Tony St. Clair retains the TV title! Commercial Break Lance: I'm here with the TV champ Tony St. Clair and Les Thornton. My goodness that was an exciting match. I have to say, Mr. St. Clair's TV title reign has been nothing short of spectacular. Thornton: Tell us something we don't know. Lance: Well I know you know about the big plans for our next closed circuit event The Happening on April 2nd but let me inform our fans. Thornton: Yes, very well, you do that. Lance: Ok, at the Happening there will be a special international match. Our reigning TV champ Tony St. Clair will meet the current Universal Wrestling Association champion, from Mexico, El Canek. No titles will be on the line. This should be an all time wrestling classic between two outstanding champions. I understand, next week there will be a special press conference with both participants in attendance. Thornton: Well, to tell you the truth Mr. Russell, I would much rather save my words for next week then to share them with you today. Good day. Lance: Ah..ok. I guess we'll go to the ring. The South Pacific Connection vs. Sam Smith and Gary Williams SPC work their opponents over with chops, slams and headbutts. The end comes when SPC double slam Smith, then hop up on opposite corners and crash down with stereo diving headbutts for the win! Commercial Break Kamala/Kendo Nagasaki/"Maniac" Mark Lewin w/Curtis Iaukea vs. Clinton Stitch/Willie Lopez and Vic Dutro Iaukea's monsters totally destroy their opponents. Kamala finishes the match with a big splash on Dutro. After the match, Lewin grabs Lopez and puts him out with the sleeper. Kendo tortures Stitch with the oriental spike. Lewin lays Lopez down and Kendo lays Stitch on top of Lopez. Kamala swings off the ropes and splashes both men! Iaukea leads his men to the podium. Iaukea: Stomper! You're a very foolish man! You got involved in a fight that was not your concern and now you must pay! Tomorrow night at the Mid South Coliseum you will face the Maniac! (Lewin rolls up his eyes) Stomper! You're going to regret your decision. As for you Carlos Colon, you will face the end when you step into the ring with Kamala! And if Billy Jack Strong wants to get punished, the assassin Kendo Nagasaki is waiting! Iaukea does a manacle laugh before leaving. Lance: (A bit unnerved) We'll be right back Commercial Break Lance: Fans, this weekend at the Mid South Coliseum, Terry Funk will defend the USWA World title against Superstar Bill Dundee. Let's take a look at Bill Dundee. Courtesy of Continental Wrestling In-ring highlights are shown of "Superstar" Bill Dundee. That's followed by a promo. Dundee is standing in front of a Continental Banner Dundee: It's been awhile but the Superstar is coming back to the Mid South Coliseum this Saturday Night. That's right, it's me and you Terry Funk for the USWA world title baby! The Superstar is fired up and ready to rock daddy! I'm not coming to town to loose brother, I'm coming to take that title! Lance: Ok, on that note please welcome out the USWA world champion Terry Funk. Funk storms out in his usual manner. He stares Lance down the snatches the mic. Funk: Well, well well, little Bill wants the world title. Well little Bill is going to come up short, just like his entire career. It's laughable if anybody thinks he's going to beat me for this here title. Nobody is going to beat me for it. Not Scott Casey! Not Johnny Mantell! Not Bob Armstrong! Not Jerry Lawler, oh wait I already sent him packing. And not that fat pig Dusty Rhodes! I've wrestled them all and I beat them all! And Lance, if you keep staring at me like that, I'm going to beat you to! Funk pushes the mic in Lance's chest and storms off. Lance: (Shaking his head) I think he's losing it. Back to the ring. The Spoiler vs. Rick Linderman Spoiler dismantles his opponent before finishing him off with the claw! Spoiler cuts a promo on his upcoming Mid South Coliseum match where he will team with Rocky Johnson to take on Super Destroyer and Gerry Morrow. Spoiler gives Paul Jones a stern warning if he interferes. Commercial Break Lance: Fans, with me right now is Jerry Jarrett. Jerry, I know you have a few things to talk about. Jarrett: Thank you Lance. First up, I said last week I had some news for Tully Blanchard. Well, I received a message from Baby Doll saying Tully didn't feel like coming in today. Listen up Tully, you will be here next week or I'll make sure you never wrestle in this country again. Now (Jarrett holds up the Central States tag team titles and sets them on the podium) I want to congratulate the Bruise Brothers on winning the USWA tag titles. They relinquished these Central States titles. I want to say that at The Happening, I will determine two teams that will wrestle for these titles. So we'll see new Central States tag champs crowned. Speaking of The Happening, tonight you all will hear some matches signed for that big event. One match I will announce right now is the Bruise Brothers will defend the USWA tag titles against Bodacious. Lance, this is going to be one tremendous event. Lance: Ok, a lot to take in. Well, let's take a look at Bodacious right now. Bodacious w/The Vin Man vs. Neil Jordan and Trent Watkins Vinnie is pumped up as he watches his team Doug Sommers and Chick Donovan put on a tag team clinic. They finish things off with a double hot shot on the top rope! Kevin Kelly joins the crew at the podium. Vin: Lancey Lancey Lancey! We're on cloud nine! My men Bodacious are going to without a doubt become USWA tag champs! Those Clown brothers don't have a prayer. Bodacious has more skills, more class. more talent and defiantly a lot more soul! If you know what I mean. Lance: Not sure I do. I've also been informed that Kevin Kelly will go one on one with Bob Roop at The Happening. Kelly: Bob Roop? (Starts laughing uncontrollable) More like Bob Bloop! Tell em Vin Man Vin: (laughing) Let's just break Kev's resume down. Tom Magee, the next big star, the Mega Man. Remember him? Kev put him down and out of wrestling. Big Man Steel. Remember that guy? He was going to take the USWA by storm. What happened? Oh yea, Kev sent him packing. Bob Bloop, you're next on the list plain and simple. What a great night this is. My crew is set to rule the USWA. You know what guys, since we're having such a great night, why don't we give the people what they want. (Snaps his fingers) 1..2..ah 1,2,3,4 They all sing "We are family" into the commercial Commercial Break The Stomper vs. Todd Rooney Stomper just mauls his opponent before finishing him off with the Cobra Clutch! Before Stomper can exit, Kendo Nagasaki and Mark Lewin hit the ring! Stomper fights but the odds are to much. Cheers as Billy Jack Strong hits the ring with fists flying! All 4 men have a wild exchange into the commercial. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the pink "Beauty Shop' sign then pans down on Brenda Britton Britton: Hi everybody and welcome again to the number one rated segment in wrestling, the Beauty Shop. And I mean number one, second to none! This week there will be no guest. You want to know why? I'll tell you why. I have such a big announcement that it would overshadow any guest. And I wouldn't want that. It just wouldn't be right. Ok, listen up. The Beauty Shop is where it all happens. So I think it's only fitting that the real King of Professional Wrestling makes his first appearance right here on my show! That's right! I once again did what no suit in the USWA could do. I've officially booked the real King! That's right, I know who the King is but I aint telling. So next week, right here on my show, the real King will grace us with an appearance. Oh my, I have so much to do. After all, this set needs to be prepped for a King. You won't want to miss it. Until next week a very special tooooodles. Commercial Break Lance: Ok fans, well I guess we're all going to find out who this self proclaimed King is. Yea we'll see. Our....wait a minute Ox Baker, what on earth are you doing here? Ox: Keep your mouth shut and I'll tell you! Ox Baker's career was all about hurting and punishing people! My days in the ring might be over but I still have a lot of wisdom to give. I just needed the right men to give it to. Correction, I needed the right beasts to give it to. I waited and waited but now I've found them. I've put together the most devastating team wrestling has ever seen. You're going to see them right now and you'll understand what I'm talking about. I present to you Nord the Barbarian and Rip Morgan, the Beasts of Burden! The Beasts of Burden vs. Carl Kellerman and Pete Moore Nord and Rip are wearing black boots, black knee pads and black trunks with a face of a white Oxen on back. Total annihilation! They double clothesline Kellerman over the top rope. They swing Moore to the ropes and put him down with a double boot shot to the face for the devastating win! The Beasts hold Moore up as Ox grabs him by his hair and puts him down with the Heart Punch! Poor Moore is stretchered out. Lance: I don't know what to say. That was total destruction. My goodness I hope that poor kid will be ok. We'll be back Commercial Break Bob Roop vs. William Hillman Roop puts on a wrestling display before finishing his opponent off with a running shoulder breaker! Roop heads to the podium. Lance: Look'n pretty good Bob. I understand you have some info on the whereabouts of your partner Brad Rheingans. Roop: Yes I do. Brad is currently on a tour of Japan and will be back in a few weeks. I'm going to stay sharp in the ring by flying solo for awhile. Now I heard Kevin Kelly and his flunkie out here earlier and all I have to say is keep laughing and go ahead and underestimate me. Bob Roop has been around and at The Happening, I'm going to give Mr. Magnificent a wrestling lesson he'll never forget. Commercial Break Lance: I've been excited about this for awhile, Curt Hennig is set for action. Curt Hennig vs. Ray Glader ACDC's Back in Black blasts over the speakers as Hennig makes his way out to a rousing ovation. Hennig gives the fans a show with hip tosses, crisp arm drags and high dropkicks. Hennig finishes things off with a Bridging Fisherman's Suplex for the impressive win. Lance: Curt, come on over. Welcome back. Curt: Thank you Lance, it's a thrill to be back in the USWA! Lance: Well you certainly didn't waste anytime. I heard you wanted a match at The Happening and you got one. You'll be going one on one with Greg Gagne. You two have some connected family history. Your dad Larry the Axe and his dad Verne Gagne at one time had quite a heated rivalry. Curt: They sure did and ...... Boos as Greg Gagne strolls out with his bodyguard Duke Myers. Gagne is wearing a flat cap, golf clothes and has a sweater tied around his neck. Duke is wearing black jeans, has a black forearm sleeve and red jersey with DUKER written across the back. Gagne: Lance, you will address me as The Great Gagne, got it. (looks at Curt) Well, look at you Curt, all grown up and ready for the big time. Well it doesn't get any bigger than the Great Gagne. Friendly word of advice. Don't talk about your dad, just makes you look pathetic. Curt: Hey, I'm proud of what my dad accomplished and you should be proud of yours as well. Gagne: Spoken like a true daddy's boy. Baby boy Curt, loves his daddy so much. You make me sick. Curt steps in but Duke gets in front of Greg. Lance: Easy gentlemen, easy. Curt: Out of respect for you Lance, I'll back off. Get ready Gagne, at The Happening your mine! Curt leaves. Gagne: It's the Great Gagne! Get it right baby boy! Come on Duker, let's go. Lance: (pauses) Our blockbuster main event when we come back. Simmons continues to plow through the competition. Props to you for creating the Bullpen and Wild Dogs. These fans add a special edge when the teams are wrestling. Only a matter of time before we get a Wild Bulls/Dog Pound feud. If we do, Pacific better bring in a special task force. Thanks to a distraction by Badd Co., British Steel scores a shocking upset over the Midnight's. Cornette must be livid. Severn is a true professional and it looks like he's choosing a different path. Bigelow might of earned himself a TV title shot with that pin on Orton. Yep, I figured the Midnight's would be back for payback and they got it. This feud's got some heat. WOW! The fans in Santa Barbara got some fast paced match ups. Oh man, I wonder if we'll see a Bret/Owen match down the line. I have a feeling Hansen is going to focus on a full on single's run soon. Perez is really having a solid run as CA champ. Duggan gets at Easy Ed but sooner or later he's going to need a buddy to contend with the Playboy Club. Pacific is clicking as it heads into the Aloha Spectacular!
-
Hollywood Knights might want to back off of Severn. That's one guy you don't want to anger. Windham/Rotunda vs. Iron and Steel is one of my favorite feuds going right now. Looking forward to their blow off. Whoever comes out on top deserves a title shot. Taylor's going into his TV title match with some steam as he defeats the Hitman. Rose is back to his old ways LOL. I would love to see a Rose/Gilbert match, that is if Rose survives Duggan. Vic gives Adams a fight but Adams shows why he's the number one contender. Aloha Spectacular is really shaping up.

A lot going on in Continental! Big news regarding the titles. Poor Fergie, he got robbed. Can't wait for the huge tournament. At least Landel automatically gets in the finals. Only fair. We'll see how he feels about it. LOL props to you for keeping Landel's comedy fresh. He cracks me up every week. "This is America, he should be called Tom Smith or something" LOL gold. Borne keeps up with Landel and gets in some funny moments. Hmmmm, will the Maniac do the "right thing" ? Taylor seems prime and ready for the tournament. Downtown loses Ayala but rebounds with the Mighty Goliath. This will be trouble. HAHAHAHAHA! The Fergie/Chicky segment was hilarious! The contract in Spanish was great. "Right here's your name, there's my name and most importantly there's Ayala's name" Works for me LOL. Fergie's going through a rough time. Speaking of Chicky, White Lighting is gunning for his title. After a chaotic brawl and help from young Jarrett, Dundee gets the big and satisfying win over Barnes. I would of loved watching this on TV back in the day. Mulligan and son end the show on a high note taking down the Moondogs. Look at those interesting first round match ups. Brody vs. Ayala will be a brawl! Good heat matches like Armstrong vs. Bad News and Mulligan vs. Khan. I can't imagine what the Bock/Rich match will be like. Good stuff! Continental is on fire!

Mad Dog Vachon is back in Lutte! Yea, Terry Daniels better be on his A game. Wow, Apollo really wants a piece of the Sheik. Be careful what you wish for. Speaking of being careful, Kaluha might want to think twice and heal up a bit before going after Leduc.
-
These 2 loops show just how stacked your roster is. The Armstrong's/Moondog's match would of been a lot of fun to watch. Young Jarrett better be careful messing with Barnes. Bad News and Dory is the type of team that would just slowly dismantle somebody before putting them away. Landel survives Brody...for now. What better way to kick off a show with none other than Mr. Money. Good to see Ron Garvin back in action. I really think Garvin's stiff style fits in so well here. I'm going to keep an eye on the Chicky/Ayala combo. LOL, Embry's playing peacemaker again. Borne better watch his back. The Rich's keep their nuclear heat from the tournament going. Can't wait to see what's next for them. Fujinami quickly gets over with the Southern fans with a decisive win over Khan.

USWA TV @ The Knoxville Civic Center 2-19-86 Show starts off with a complete highlight package of the David Von Erich Memorial tag team tournament. Highlights end with the team of Black Bart and Ron Bass holding up the trophy and 100,000 dollar check. Lance: Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling right here on the USA network. You all saw the highlights, the historic David Von Erich tag team tournament is now in the books. It was an event of epic proportions and I was very proud to have been a part of it. Congratulations to the team of Black Bart and Ron Bass. They had a tremendous showing and defeated a lot of top ranked teams to win it all. They defiantly earned every dollar. Unfortunately there is some bad news to report. Not only did Tully Blanchard hit Dick Slater several times with a chair after their match but he attacked Slater in the back while seeking medical treatment. Cameras were able to get some footage towards the end of that vicious attack. Let's take a look. Slater is on the ground as medics are trying to back Tully away. Tully pushes them back, picks up Slater and suplexes him on the floor. Camera view is blocked by Security running in there. Lance: I understand Dick Slater's back was injured and he will not be cleared for at least 30 days. I also understand Jerry Jarrett will have an announcement regarding the Mid America Title, later tonight. Very best wishes to Dick Slater. I do have some good news for you. Our first match tonight will be for the USWA tag team titles. Karachi Vice will defend against the Fabulous Ones. Let's get right to it. USWA Tag Team Title Bout The Karachi Vice (C) vs. The Fabulous Ones The bell rings but before the match gets going, ROB FULLER and JIMMY GOLDEN hit the ring and jump the Fabs! Fabs start fighting back but Karachi Vice jumps in and it's a 4 on 2. Karachi Vice double slam Keirn as the Stud Stable drop Lane with a spiked piledriver! Officials hit the ring. Commercial Break Lance: After what just went down, Jerry Jarrett is on his way out. Jerry briskly walks to the podium. Jarrett: I've had it Lance. We're coming off a tremendous event and tonight should of been a great follow up. The Stud Stable have been kicked out of the building and trust me, they will be severely punished. Speaking of punishments, what Tully Blanchard did to our Mid America champ Dick Slater went completely over the line. Tully was banned tonight because I didn't even want to see his face. However, next week I will be talking with him and I think I have a pretty good idea to share with him. Unfortunately Dick Slater will not be able to defend during the next 30 days. That is a shame because Dick represented what a fighting champion is all about. Lance, you and I know things must go on. I've decided that tomorrow night at the Cook Convention Center, the match signed between Gerry Morrow and Rocky Johnson will be for the Mid America Title. And finally, Karachi Vice is not getting away with their part in all this. They will defend the USWA tag titles tonight! Most of our teams were given the week off but there's a team that's here for an interview and instead of that, they will get a tag team title shot tonight. Boos as Karachi Vice storm out. Makhan: Oh what a surprise. What is your problem Jarrett? Gama: Great question brother Makhan. You talk about fighting champions, well we've been just that for 10 months! What is our reward? Why does all the other inferior teams get the week off and we don't? This is nothing short of injustice! We didn't have anything to do with what just happened. That is not our fight! Jarrett: You were in on the attack and honestly I think you both were still seething from that tournament loss to the Fabulous Ones. They earned that shot tonight and now they can't compete and I bet that's exactly what you wanted. The bottom line is, later tonight you will defend those belts so get ready! Jarrett leaves as Karachi Vice yell at Lance. Commercial Break "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly w/The Vin Man vs. Todd Rooney Vinnie and Kevin hug as the bell rings. Kevin is all business as he pummels Rooney. Kevin hits Rooney with several rabbit punches to the back, then picks Rooney up and clamps on the full nelson. The Ref signals for the bell as Kevin twirls Rooney around and tosses him across the ring. Vinnie gets in the ring, swings off the ropes and drops an elbow on Rooney for the fun of it. Vin and Kevin walk to the podium. Vin: As you can see the entire family isn't here tonight because Bodacious is enjoying some well deserved time off after their awesome tournament showing. BUUUUUT, lucky for you and all these cool wannabes, you still got the Vin Man and Mr. Magnificent. That's more than enough to get by on. Kev just showed why nobody wants to get in the ring with him and hey I don't blame them. Kev's the man and I'm the Vin Man...YEA! Commercial Break Billy Jack Strong vs. Curtis Moore Strong excites the crowd with a variety of power moves before executing an overhead German Suplex. Strong hoists Moore up and drops him with a delayed brainbuster for the win! Strong is joined by Carlos Colon at the podium. Lance: Gentlemen, tomorrow night at the Cook Convention Center, I understand it will be Kamala, Mark Lewin and a mystery partner facing the two of you and a mystery partner. Originally Rocky Johnson was your partner and things have taken a different turn. Colon: That is right. Things have changed. Rocky had a long talk with us and I understand what he's doing. He's fighting for a friend and now for a title. He has our blessing. Rocky being the true friend he is, called up somebody and that somebody will take his place in this fight. Strong: We wish Rocky all the best and believe us Lance when we tell you, he found us a fighter. Colon: Iaukea! Kamala! Lewin! We don't care who your partner is because we have a bigger surprise. Just wait and see! Commercial Break Another video is shown of Curt Hennig. Highlights of him in the ring and in the gym. The video cuts to him driving a convertible. He cruises up, stops, smiles and looks in the camera. "I'll see you next week" Lance: Ok, Curt Hennig returns to the USWA next week. Uh..hello A man wearing a tuxedo approaches and hands Lance a note. The man exits. Lance: (opens the note and reads it) I know how excited the fans were that the real King of wrestling was set to make an appearance tonight. However, because the King is in demand all around the world, I will not be able to attend tonight. Do not worry, the King will be there next week. Just remember, good things come to those that wait. (Lance folds the note) Well fans, I guess we'll have to wait another week for the self proclaimed King of wrestling. Yea, I'll believe it when I see it. Let's get to the ring for this week's TV title contender's match and the two names that were drawn. Winner receives a TV title shot next week "The Electrifying" Ben Bassarab vs. "The Lone Wolf" Jesse Barr The fans cheer as Bassarab waits in the ring waving to them. Boos as Barr comes out but with a different look. He's now wearing a lone ranger mask and carrying a bullrope. Barr walks around the ring threatening fans with his bullrope. Barr finally gets in the ring and swings the bullrope wildly around. The Ref warns him and Barr sets his bullrope on the outside by the steel post. The bell rings. Barr charges but Bassarab hip tosses him over. Barr gets up and Bassarab puts him down with a dropkick. Barr staggers up and Bassarab dropkicks him through the ropes. Barr gets up and stumbles back down. Bassarab goes out on the apron. Barr slowly rises and Bassarab nails him with a flying press! The Ref starts the count. Bassarab hurls Barr into the ring and goes to the top rope. Bassarab goes for his flying leg drop but Barr moves! Both men are lying there. Barr uses the ropes to help himself up. Barr stomps away on Bassarab, then chokes him with his boot. Barr picks up Bassarab, kicks him, snapmares him over and nails him with a knee to his back. Barr picks up Bassarab and executes a delayed vertical suplex. Barr hops on the middle ropes and hits an elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Barr raises his fist to the Ref. Barr picks up Bassarab and drops him throat first on the top rope. Barr picks up Bassarab, swings him to the corner and charges in but Bassarab moves and Barr hits hard. The fans fire Bassarab up. He pumps his fists and unloads on Barr, then hoists him up and atomic drops him through the ropes! Barr crawls over to his bullrope. Bassarab goes out after him. Barr grabs his bullrope and blasts Bassarab with it then starts choking him! The Ref signals for the DQ. Barr doesn't care and keeps choking him. The Ref goes out and tries to stop it but Barr pushes him down. The fans cheer as MIKE GEORGE runs out and nails Barr from behind! Barr takes off. George attends to Bassarab while staring down Barr. Lance: Thank goodness Mike George was here. That Jesse Barr is completely unhinged. In the end, Ben Bassarab will challenge Tony St. Clair for the TV title next week. Good for him. Commercial Break Friday...April 2nd...Market Square Arena...The USWA presents...The Happening Lance: Fans, our next closed circuit event will be The Happening. I understand we'll have some matches announced next week. Switching gears, tomorrow night at the Cook Convention Center, Gerry Morrow will take on Rocky Johnson and the winner will be the Mid America Champion. Please welcome out Rocky Johnson. Huge pop as Johnson comes out. Lance: Rocky, first off how's George Wells holding up? Johnson: He's doing a lot better but still has a ways to go. Lance, I can't tell you how mad I am right now. What Gerry Morrow did was sickening! He knew George was kicking his butt all over the place and knew he couldn't beat him on his own. Then after help from his dirt bag friend Carl Fergie, he gets the win. But no, he wasn't satisfied with that. He had to DDT George on the concrete...TWICE!!! George is a good friend of mine and I assure, you I will finish the job on you Morrow. Winning that Mid America title will be icing on the cake brother. Thundering boos as Gerry Morrow arrogantly walks out smiling with his Billionaire's title on his shoulder and a bottle of champagne. Lance: Stand back Morrow. I don't want trouble. Please Rocky, just stay calm. Rocky is visible pissed off. Morrow: Easy, Rock, easy. Look, we are both simply competitors vying for a prestigious title. Hey check dis out, I already have one and would like another. I don't know why you are so upset. Hey, I always liked George. Did he get my bottle of champagne I sent? Rocky walks forward, clenching his fists. Lance: Please Rocky just stay calm. Morrow, you better leave. Morrow: Look, do not worry about George. Here, let's have a toast to him. He has a future with me. I will even give him a choice, he can be my butler or driver. You know what, even better, he can be both, How does that sound? WHAM! Rocky tackles Morrow and unleashes with punches! Security is quick to the scene. Commercial Break "Maniac" Mark Lewin w/Curtis Iaukea vs. Clyde Putnam Lewin just destroys his opponent before putting him out of his misery with the sleeper! The bell rings but Lewin has his eyes rolled back and wrenches away. Iaukea runs in and puts the boots to Putnam. Lewin throws Putnam down and Iaukea leads him to the podium. Iaukea: Carlos Colon! You can't intimidate us! You're friend Rocky Johnson knew he was in a fight that can't be won! I warned you that a true assassin was coming and tomorrow night you will see. You just witnessed what the Maniac will do to you and you have already felt the wrath of Kamala. If Billy Jack Strong had any brains he would waaaaalllllk. Nobody will show up in your corner tomorrow night. Carlos Colon! You will be aaaallll alone and at our mercy! You have yet to sink in the deepest depths. That will happen soon enough. Iaukea and Lewin exit. Lance: Very ominous words. That man really makes me uneasy. We'll be back Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the pink "Beauty Shop" sign then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to the highest rated show in wrestling the Beauty Shop. Ok, I know what you're all thinking and I'm going to address it. My guest was suppose to be Lancelot Von Erich but by now you all know what happened to poor Lance. Lance was hurt fighting for my honor and I was shocked and sad at what transpired. BOOOOOS! Britton: Hey! I really was! I didn't know he wasn't a Von Erich! I didn't! I went into a deep depression. Not only because of what happened to Lancelot but at all those names Alvin called me. That was uncalled for and down right mean. You know what snapped me out of it? Well, let me show you. Please welcome out tonight's guest Greg Gagne. Gagne comes out with a flat cap and sweater tied around his neck. Behind him is Duke Myers, wearing jeans, a black forearm sleeve and a black T-Shirt. Britton: Hi Greg! So great to see you. I want you to know I've been saying those words of wisdom all week. Gagne: Brenda, I'm so happy to hear that. I can tell it's working because you're glowing. Why don't you say those words right now. Britton: OK! Here goes. Sticks and stones may break my bones but Alvin's names will never hurt me. Gagne applauds and hugs Britton. Britton: You're the best Greg! Thank you! Ok, let's talk about you. I know you have lots on your mind. Gagne: First off, as you know my partner Joe Savoldi suffered injuries a few weeks ago. Being the tough kid he is, he decided to wrestle in the tournament. Well, the injuries caught up and he'll be gone for awhile. So I've decided that the Great Gagne is flying solo and going after some gold. Britton: That's wonderful! And what's Duke doing here? Gagne: Well, after Joe's injuries, me getting a hot dog thrown at me and beers poured on me, I decided to do something about it. Duker here is now my personal bodyguard. You mess with me, you mess with the Duker. Britton: You're so smart. And I heard you had a talk with Lance. Gagne: I did. He's a great kid and after our talk, he's decided to go and find his true self. I told him he didn't have to use the Von Erich name. He's going to be just fine. Look at me. I don't have the pressure of living up to the Gagne name because I've far surpassed anything any other Gagne has ever done. Britton: I agree, you're so successful Gagne: Yes, very successful. So it proves that Lance doesn't need to be a Von Erich to make it in this business. As for me, I am what I am and don't have to prove anything to anybody. And now for the big surprise. You ready Brenda? I want to bring out some old friends, who also don't need to live up to any name. The next Tag team champions of the world, Bruce and Keith Hart, known as Harts Afire! Bruce and Keith come out in shiny red jackets with flaming yellow hearts all over. They all hug. Britton: OH wow! What a happy surprise. Gagne: So glad you guys are back! I can see it now. Harts Afire, USWA tag team champs and the Great Gagne, the USWA World Champ. Brenda, this has been an adventure. Gagne gets in between the Harts and raises their arms as the fans boo. Duke points at the fans with a menacing look. Britton: It certainly has! It all happens on the Beauty Shop. Until next week toooooodles. Commercial Break Super Destroyer w/Paul Jones vs. Gary Williams Super D is all over his opponent. Jones tells him to finish him. Super D hoists Williams up on the turnbuckles and hops up. Super D hits the superplex for the pin! The fans go crazy as the Spoiler comes out, spins Jones around and applies the CLAW!! Super D looks out and sees what's going on, them rushes out. Spoiler throws Jones into Super D and punches away on him. Spoiler and Super D brawl into a commercial. Commercial Break Lance: The situation between Super Destroyer and the Spoiler is really escalating. Those two will meet tomorrow night at the Cook Center. Speaking of that card. Dusty Rhodes will go one on one with Ron Fuller. You all saw footage from the tournament as Fuller blasted Dusty with a cowbell and costed him his world title match with Terry Funk. Let's here prerecorded comments from both men. Fuller: Dusty Rhodes, I sent you a fair warning that we had unfinished business. Did you think I was kidding? (Fuller holds up his cowbell) Did this get your attention? Now I get exactly what I want. You and me are going to settle this tomorrow night at the Cook Center and believe me, this time you wont be getting up. Dusty: (bandage on his forehead) Unfinished business. That's what you call it. Ron Fuller, this business is just getting started, you understand? The business is at hand. Now my business is to take care of you and that I will do come tomorrow night babay. Terry Funk! Don't think this is over because you and I have a little unfinished business. But for right now, my business is all on you Ron Fuller! I bet Blackman and Severn threw some stiff shots at each other. After that stare, Young better watch himself. Muta's been on a roll and might be the next contender for Gilbert, if Gilbert gets by Adams. I'm glad you're doing more promos. I can never get tired of hearing Cornette talk. His shots at Missy was classic Corny. Looking forward to that big 6 man tag. Wild street fight to end the show. The big story here is the shocking attack of Duggan by the Playboy Club. Well, we all know Rose and Easy Ed can only be babyfaces for so long LOL. I'm sure Duggan is going to come back fighting. LOL, I wonder if Candido will ever accept a handshake. Hansen is doing damage! The heat goes up as Iron and Steel cost Windham and Rotunda a chance at the titles. That 10 man tag would of been a sight to see. Simmons is showing some serious potential. That win over Waylon puts him up a notch. Smothers gets the win over Douglas as he gets ready for his CA title shot against Perez. I think Badd Co. is giving the Midnight's more than they bargained for. I like how you have wrestlers take a break from their current feuds and put two guys together to give the fans a good match. Windham vs. Mando is a perfect example of this. Perez sends a message to Smothers by putting Young down. Snowbirds are closing in on the Guerrero's titles. Good week in Pacific!

The David Von Erich Memorial Tag Team Tournament
spaldoni replied to Blehschmidt's topic in Programming
Day 3! Let's get it on! Bruise Brothers advance to the semi's with a big win over Tatum and Victory. The Texas champs might of been eliminated but can certainly brag about their tournament showing. The heat is on in Texas as The Rich's are somehow still alive. Nightmares give them a fight but the Rich's dirty tactics give them the win. Rich's vs. Bruise Brothers...YES! LOL! I loved how Morrow and Fergie graced the fans with a toast when they officially received the bye. Nice touch. Wild Bunch and Stud Stable put on one hell of a hard hitting match! Wild Bunch advance with a crowd rock'n win. And now the finals! It all comes down to the Wild Bunch and Texas fan favorites the Rich's LOL. I'll tell you what, the Rich's have some brass balls, coming out to Stranglehold while wearing Tennessee colors. Another nice touch with the Wild Bunch using David's old theme song. The stage is set. The fans go wild as the Wild Bunch totally dominate the early moments. Then comes the long Rich heat segment. This had to be their best performance of the weekend. They really worked Bart over. Bart makes the tag but here comes the Ref bump. More heat for the Rich's and it looks like the money is theirs. Hold on! It can't be! It is! Kerry and Kevin Von Erich are in the house!!!!!!! I can't imagine the reaction. The fans go absolutely bonkers! The Von Erich's taking out the Rich's was a moment of pure satisfaction Texas fans will never forget. Even more satisfying was making Tommy bleed with the claw. I couldn't think of a more fitting way to end the show. The Wild Bunch take home the money and trophy. They certainly earned it. I'm glad you came up with this idea Bleh. I had a lot of fun planning this with you and Gene. I'm sure we can all get a bottle of Morrow's champagne and have a toast to another one next year. -

Tully yanks the chair from the Ref's hands and blasts Slater with it! The Ref signals for the DQ. Slater is on his knees. Tully hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a chair shot! Tully hits Slater multiple times on his back with the chair. Officials storm the ring. Baby Doll gets in the ring and hands Tully the Mid America title. Tully sticks his boot on Slater and holds up the title as the fans boo. Winner of the match by DQ- Dick Slater. Slater retains the title. Lance: Well it certainly appears that Baby Doll's plan backfired. However, they really did a number on Slater. Slater is being helped out by officials. After that poor display, Tully Blanchard doesn't deserve another shot at that title. Well fans, it's time for the first of our David Von Erich tag team tournament semi final matches . I hear the boos starting and that can mean only one thing. Semi-Final Match Continental Tag Team Champions Tommy and Johnny Rich vs. Central States Tag Team Champions The Bruise Brothers The boos are defining as security escorts the Rich's to the ring. The boos get louder when Johnny shows off his T-Shirt that says "World Class Championship Rich's" The boos get even louder as Tommy holds up a sign that says " The Von Erich's got run over on Bad Street" Trash hits the ring which prompts an announcement asking fans to please refrain from throwing any kind of debris into the ring. Security even has to escort a few rowdy fans trying to hop the railing. Thank goodness "Boogie Fever" plays over the speakers and the Bruise Brothers make their way down the aisle. The Bruise Brothers hit the ring as the Rich's flee to the outside. They stay out there during introductions. The bell rings and the Ref threatens the Rich's with a count out. The Rich's start arguing with front row fans which nearly causes a fight. Bruise Brothers go to the outside and the brawl is on! The fans are going wild as the Bruise Brothers go to town on the Rich's. Cash hurls Tommy into the ring as Snowman body slams Johnny on the concrete. Johnny puts his arm over Cash (bleeding from his forehead) as the Ref counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOS! Winners of the match- Tommy and Johnny Rich Lance: My goodness, what a match. It was clear to me the Bruise Brothers had the match won until Tommy brought in a pair of brass knuckles. What a travesty. I can't believe it but the Rich's are now going to the finals. They will face the winners of our next match between the Wild Bunch and Morrow and Fergie. I would say the odds would be in the favor of Morrow and Fergie. They bought off the Sheepherders and then received a bye. Meanwhile the Wild Bunch earlier had a hard fought match with the Stud Stable. Speaking of Morrow and Fergie. Last week at the Rupp Arena, Carl Fergie showed up and helped Gerry Morrow defeat George Wells in a ghetto street fight. After the match, Morrow did one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. After they hit George with a champagne bottle, Morrow dropped George with not one but two falling DDT's on the concrete. I understand George is still in the hospital. His friend Rocky Johnson has been with him and will give us an update on George's condition next week. We wish George a speedy recovery. Ok, let's get down to the ring for another semi final match. Semi-Final Match The Wild Bunch (Black Bart and Ron Bass) vs. "Champagne" Gerry Morrow and "Mr. Money" Carl Fergie w/Slick Morrow, Fergie and Slick are in the ring and the arrogance is at an all time high. The Wild Bunch walk down the aisle. They point to Slick, then look back and wave their arms. Wild Bill Irwin comes out with his whip. The fans cheer as they enter the ring. After introductions are made, Slick grabs the mic. Slick: Hold on, hold on, just one sec. Now there's no need for him and his whip. I aint gonna cause any trouble. Matter of fact I'm gonna help you boys. As you all saw. we made Boyd and his Sheepherders some very rich men and they didn't have to do a thing but walk away. By look'n at you hillbilly hicks. (Wild Bunch walk forward) Whoa whoa whoa, I didn't mean that. What I'm trying to say, is you boys can certainly use some green, if you know what I mean. We just the men that can provide. Money talks, so why don't you boys take it and walk. The Wild Bunch converse while Slick pulls out an envelope from his pocket. Slick smiles and holds it out. In the background, Morrow and Fergie smile and hold up champagne bottles as an added bonus. The fans roar as Wild Bill whips the check out of Slick's hand! Bill grabs Slick and hurls him over the top rope! Bart and Bass attack Morrow and Fergie as the bottles fly out of their hands. The Ref gets the bottles and hands them off to a ring attendant then signals for the bell. Bart punches Morrow to his corner and follows up with several kicks and stomps. The Ref guides Bart to his corner. Bass swings Morrow to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Bass follows with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Bart sticks out his boot. Bass runs Morrow over and slams his head on Bart's boot then tags him in. They swing Morrow to the ropes and double clothesline him down. Fergie runs in. Bart and Bass put him down with a double punch. Wild Bunch continue to control the match. Slick is still reeling on the outside as Bill closely watches him while cracking his whip. A few minutes later, Bass picks up Morrow but Morrow rakes his eyes and pushes him in the corner. Fergie chokes Bass while Morrow puts the boots to him. Bart runs over but the Ref is on him. Morrow chokes Bass on the middle ropes, then holds him out by his legs as Fergie comes off the middle ropes with a knee to the back. Morrow hits a gut wrench suplex on Bass then tags in Fergie. They hoist Bass up and double suplex him back. Fergie drops a knee 1..2..Kick Out. Fergie and Morrow yell at the Ref. After a few minutes of taking turns working over Bass, they swing him to the ropes and go for a double clothesline but Bass ducks, swings back and clotheslines them both down. Bart and the fans fire Bass up. Bass staggers back up and makes the tag to Bart. Bart just hammers away on Morrow and Fergie. Bart slams Morrow. Bart picks up Fergie and hangs him upside down on the turnbuckles. Bart kicks away until the Ref's count of 4. Bart grabs Fergie's hands and yanks him out of there. Bart hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a knee drop 1..2..Morrow kicks him on the head. Bass runs in and pounds Morrow in the corner. Slick runs over but Bill grabs Slick by his shirt and pushes him down. The Ref guides Bass back to his corner. Bart picks up Fergie but Morrow nails Bart from behind with a knee to the back. Bass runs over and punches Morrow through the ropes. On the outside Bill is watching Slick. Morrow grabs a champagne bottle. The Ref is tied up with Bass. Fergie picks Bart up. Morrow yells up at Fergie and shows him the bottle. Just as Morrow throws the bottle, Bart lowblows Fergie. Bart catches the bottle. Bass sees this and continues to distract the Ref. Morrow tries to get back in the ring but Bill runs over and holds him by his legs. Bart opens the bottle, takes a swig, then blasts Fergie over the head!!! Bart covers. The Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3! HUGE POP!!! Winners of the Match- The Wild Bunch Lance: (smiling) Well I can't say I condone the actions of the Wild Bunch, it was nice to see Morrow and Fergie get a taste of their own medicine. Unbelievable. Fans, the finals are now set. The Wild Bunch will take on the Rich's. One of those two teams will walk away with one hundred thousand dollars and the David Von Erich trophy. Texas All-Star will have the honor of showcasing that tremendous match. Our next match is for all the marbles, the USWA world title. It happens next. An Advertisement is shown for the next USWA closed circuit event Friday...April 2nd...Market Square Arena...The USWA presents...The Happening! USWA World Title Bout Terry Funk (C) vs. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes Before the match, Terry Funk storms the podium. Funk: My brother Dory and I were cheated out of the tournament! Those two pukes Casey and Mantell couldn't lace up a Funk's boot. So you tell me Lance, how is it possible they could beat us Funks? (Funk pokes Lance) Tell me Lance! Tell me! Lance: I don't know Terry, maybe they were the better team. Funk stares daggers through Lance. Funk: You're just like all the rest. Everybody is against the Funks. You know who's going to pay? That fat pig Dusty Rhodes! Oh yea, I heard he was back stage patting those pukes on the back and having a good laugh at our expense. Dusty Rhodes! Tonight I'm going to beat that putrid body of yours til it's black and blue with bruises and then I'm going to make you bleed like the pig you are! Terry races to the ring. Lance: That man is out of his mind. Never the less, our world title match happens right now. Funk is running around the ring. He picks up the timekeeper and pushes him over, then grabs a mic. "Dusty! Get out here you fat pig!" Funk gets in the ring and pushes the ring announcer. The place erupts as Dusty Rhodes comes down the aisle! Dusty gets a mic "The talk'n is ova Terry Funk! It's time for a Texas ass whipp'n!" The fans cheer as Dusty gets on the apron, grabs the top rope and gives Funk a big point. Funk gets out of the ring as Dusty enters. The introductions are made and the bell rings. Dusty goes out after Funk. Funk slides back in the ring. Dusty slides in but Funk is all over him. Funk swings Dusty in the corner and charges in but Dusty nails Funk with his boot. Funk staggers back and falls down. Dusty walks over and gives Funk's hand a stomp. Dusty picks up Funk, swings him into the corner and follows with a running clothesline. Dusty hops on the turnbuckles. The fans count along as Dusty punches Terry 10 times. Dusty hops down. Funk is furious and yells at the Ref, even raising a fist to him. Funk goes hysterical and finally is able to reach the ropes. Dusty swings Funk to the ropes and clamps on the sleeper! Funk's arms are flailing and he hits the Ref. The Ref goes down. Dusty wrenches away as Funk goes down. Funk is out. BOOOS as RON FULLER comes to the ring with a cowbell. Ron slides in the ring and blasts Dusty from behind with the cowbell! Ron goes over to revive the Ref. Ron gives Dusty a stomp before leaving. Funk is just laid out over Dusty. The Ref crawls over and counts 1....2....3! Massive boos. The Ref lays the title across Funk, then signals for help. Officials help Funk out of there. Before they can help Dusty, Ron Fuller, Rob Fuller and Jimmy Golden hit the ring. Rob and Jimmy hold the unconscious Dusty as Ron slaps him around. Ron says something to Rob and Jimmy. They smile and set Dusty up for a spike piledriver. The place goes nuts as the FABULOUS ONES (Bandages on their heads) hit the ring swinging chairs! Stud Stable bails. Fabs attend to Dusty while staring down the Stud Stable, Winner of the match and still USWA World Champ- Terry Funk Lance: Well once again we get a tainted victory. I knew Ron Fuller had issues with Dusty Rhodes but that was totally uncalled for. Thank goodness the Fabulous Ones were around, obviously still showing effects from that mysterious assault yesterday. Very volatile situation between those groups. Well fans, I've enjoyed being a part of this historic event. And now I get to enjoy the final match of the David Von Erich Memorial tag team tournament as a fan. Without further adieu, I will turn the time over to you Marc Lowrance. Take it way. -

You the man Gene! Two awesome shows in one day! Texas Champs Tatum and Victory take down the SPC, well with a little help from Dark Journey. I've got to give them credit, Tatum and Victory are doing pretty well. Bruise Brothers advance with a DQ win. Not only do the Highwaymen stay strong but they get some good heat by taking out the Ref. After getting hit with the Moondog's bones and a chain from the Highwaymen, I wonder how much of a toll this will have on the Bruise Brothers for tomorrow's matches. I couldn't wait to see what you had planned for the Rich's. LOL! I can't believe these guys are still alive. From the 'Tom Sawyer' theme to the T-Shirts, these guys go way over the top. I'm sure the fans were looking forward to the Fabs saving the day but not tonight. Who attacked the Fabs???? I couldn't stop laughing when RPG said they did that to each other. LOL that was freakn hilarious. Very creative booking and gives the Rich's even more heat, if that's possible. RPG with another great line about the Nightmares agreeing to a technical match with a team called the Technicians. RPG was rolling tonight. Moondogs strike again and actually cost the Technicians the match. Nice twist. Once again you had me cracking up with the Slick/Boyd conversation. Looks like Boyd loves him some champagne. Boyd takes the check before Luke eats it LOL. Great heat for Priceless. Will the pay off be worth it? We'll find out tomorrow. "The old Milwaukee that you and the Dynamite Duo drink" LOL RPG! Dynamite Duo and Gunslingers battle to a clean draw. Good change of pace with all the craziness going on. Thanks for plugging the upcoming closed circuit event. Just when I thought things couldn't get funnier with RPG's comments, along comes Buddy. "Rick Harris was worse, I don't know what happened to him" Super Destroyer Two" The Rich's mama's must be proud" Buddy is gold! Wild Bill comes out to counter Johnny V and it works. LOL! Irwin cracking the whip and scaring Johnny with the powder was hilarious. The Wild Bunch are looking dadgum good. The truce is over and the fight is on! Bullet and Taylor have things going their way until The Tennessee Stud makes an appearance to make sure his family advances. Looks like the family feud is in full throttle. What a way to end the show! The "Mr. Pro" open challenges have been one of my favorite segments and I knew something big would come out of these. Big indeed as Bruiser Brody answers the challenge and gives "Mr. Pro the lesson. Can't go wrong giving the Texas fans an appearance by Brody. Damn Gene, this is going to be a hard act to follow. Tremendous job! -

LOL! RPG doesn't waste any time warming up to a wider audience. Poor Lance and Lowrance. They took some verbal shots. The matches start on a high note as the Dynamite Duo take down the very charismatic duo (especially Gagne) of High Fly'n Fever. Gagne is going to be mad, so watch out! Dynamite Duo could be the sleeper team in the tournament. I'm so glad Buddy made an appearance. Very smart move showcasing Buddy and Bock on a major network. I think Buddy and Dusty are going to have to cross paths soon. We could make some money on that match. My boys the Texas Rangers have a nice showing but those sneaky Fabulous Blonds walk away with the win. Vicious bump by Lonestar. Devil's Duo make a mistake by trying to brawl with the Wild Bunch. Wild Bunch advance with a dominating win. This was a nice throwback match from their feud in Texas and the Wild Bunch put a final stamp on that. I wonder how Paul Jones will react? Bock looks like a big deal (as he should) and makes his intentions known. He's competing in the tournament and wants a shot at Funk. Funk vs. Bock needs to happen! HAHAHA! BOOOOO! Bullet and Taylor totally deprived the fans of a solid cover of 'We are family' by Vin Man and Bodacious. Vinnie getting escorted out was hilarious. Some good fun going on. Cool seeing Taylor get the fall. Don't worry, Vinnie's crew will rebound LOL. I have to say, Bullet and Taylor gelled well. Stud Stable and Glamour Boys gives us another fun match. Loved the interactions on the mic. Glamour Boys once again prove they can fight but the Stud Stable squeak out the win to advance. Awesome first show Gene! Nice job with the commentary and in between match promos. Good work. -
Look at that, British Steel finally pulls off a win over the Hart Foundation. That's a big time confidence booster. Wild Bulls don't disappoint their Bullpen fans, with that decisive win over Zenk and Perez. Thundercats get back on the winning track. It was only a matter of time before the Bullpen and Wild Dogs crossed paths. Pacific better amp up security. Midnight's win this round over Badd Co. but these teams will fight another day. Taylor is racking up the wins. I know Orton and Rose gave the fans a solid match. DQ finish keeps the feud hot. My guys Iron and Steel drop one to Windham and Rotunda but they'll get a chance for payback at Aloha Spectacular. Muta ends the night with his innovating moonsault. LOL, Candido is going to have a breakdown. I would of bought a ticket for that Hansen/Bigelow match. Security is now on high alert every time the Dog Pound wrestles. Guerreros retain tonight, but they have those pesky Snowbirds at Aloha Spectacular. Simmons impresses by taking Orton to the limit. Simmons is a star in the making. Aloha Spectacular looks stacked. These feuds have been built up so well. I'm looking forward to the pay offs.

Texas takes the baton and runs with it! Opening match gets the fans going as the Nightmares and Jayhawks tear into each other. Pringle's interference backfires and Nightmares keep the momentum going to gain the victory. Big win for the Nightmares and Continental. Pringle's temper gets the best of him as he slaps Jaggers. LOL big mistake! Jayhawks might of walked in as heels but defiantly got over with the fans on the way out. Fun way to start the show. One thing I like about tournaments is matches like the Technicians vs. Armstrongs. Great fast paced technical match up. Roop's experience comes into play and the Technicians advance. I like the little moment at the end when the Armstrongs took it as a lesson to learn from. Good sportsmanship. In the midst of all these chaotic brawls, this was a refreshing change of pace. LOL, on the USA network, we knew we would get a Luscious spot. I'm loving the suspense. Morrow, Fergie and Slick's entrance and ring gear was, well priceless. This didn't seem to faze Cooley and Armstrong as they come out swinging. Fantastic showing by Cooley and Armstrong until we get one of the all time best finishes. The champagne bottle comes into play but this time doesn't actually shatter. LOL what a great finish. Fergie should get an academy award for that selling. Happy fan favorites Good and Plenty go up against the violent Sheepherders. I was looking forward to this intriguing match up. They put on a very entertaining match. Boyd spoils everything with a flagpole shot on the Candyman. Good and Plenty stay strong while the Sheepherders advance. Other teams better be on the look out for Boyd. HAHAHA! YES! Here we go, the Fiesta Garden. I'm sure the USA network scored high in this segment. LOL, Al even gets Slinker to say "Hello Ron" Al takes advantage of the wider audience and tears into poor Brenda. That comes to a stop when Lancelot comes out. Lance gives Al a piece of his mind but we all know Al gets the last word. Al and Slinker do a number and handcuff and gag Lance. Al goes off and takes away all of Lance "Von Erich's" credibility. Man, that was a verbal assault. The license topped it all off. I couldn't stop laughing when Lance apologized and rushed out while still handcuffed. LOL nice touch! After this, I'm not sure if Brenda will want anymore of this. Unless she can get somebody like Greg Gagne to fight for her. Show couldn't of ended on a higher note as the Gunslingers upset the Funks to advance! Terry's antics had me rolling. The Gunslingers were already the top babyfaces but this win catapults them to a whole new level. They have to be considered favorites to win it now. I know Sunshine loved this. Oh man, how will this effect Terry in his upcoming title defense against Dusty???? Awesome first show Bleh. Can't wait for Gene's shows! -

Winners of the match- John Tatum and Jack Victory Lance: Well I can't say it was a clean win but the Texas tag team champions John Tatum and Jack Victory will advance in the tournament. Fans, I think that match has set the tone for this tournament. This next match has a bit of history for our Texas fans. Should be a hard hitting contest. Opening round match The Cartel (Ricky Santana and Fidel Sierra) vs. The South Pacific Connection (Siva Afi and Cocoa Samoa) The feud between Cocoa Samoa and Jose Estrada is still fresh in the Texas fans minds. Thanks to the Cartel, Estrada was able to send Cocoa out of Texas. The tournament odds were with Cocoa as he gets a chance for some payback tonight. Siva and Cocoa are in the ring pacing back and forth. Boos as the Cartel stroll down the aisle. Fidel actually has a cigar. Santana is laughing and pointing up at Cocoa. Fidel takes his cigar and throws it up at Cocoa. The fans go wild as Siva and Cocoa dive over the top rope and down on the Cartel! Siva hammers away on Santana and Cocoa pummels Fidel. Winners of the match- The South Pacific Connection Lance: Now I know that was a very satisfying win for Cocoa, and by that applause, these Texas fans feel the same way. The South Pacific Connection will advance. Fans, we're only two matches in and the action has been non stop. Ok, we're set for our next match. The Rock n Roll RPMs vs. The Highwaymen Duncum and Hickerson enter the ring wearing their long trench coats and cowboy hats. They look focused and mean. Cheers as the RPMs hit the ring wearing their trademark spandex attire. The RPMs don't look as confident tonight. Word has it that they really took that TV loss to the Rose Cousins pretty hard. As the match progresses, it's obvious the RPMs just don't have it together. On the flip side, the Highwaymen are on their A game. The opening moments is all Highwaymen. RPMs make a bit of a comeback and start to build some momentum. That comes to an abrupt halt when Hickerson blasts Lane with a clothesline to the back of the head. Hase shows his skills in a good showcase match. Big win for Taylor as he makes Mando submit. Blackman gets the win over Candido but this feud is far from over. Great promo by Adams as he heads into his big title match with Gilbert. I like Anvil getting his two cents in. No doubt with Big Bubba around, Cornette wont be afraid to shoot his mouth off. Rose and Easy Ed win a battle over the Crazy Gang but I have to wonder what's going on between Duggan and Rose. Things are heating up as Pacific heads into the Aloha Spectacular.
