    It looks like Ole is the one in the druid robe vignettes, or is that just me convincing myself since he's the voice? I don't know, Sting is trying hard with these promos, most of them at least. I can't fault him for that.

    I would have liked to see Sting with a Sherlock Holmes hat and magnifying glass looking for leads and clues.

    I don't necessarily have a problem with Steiner beating Flair here, I think mostly I wish Flair was the final match instead of Arn. I guess WCW was still the main tv show so maybe they wanted the highest ratings for that one or something? There was a lot of interference so I think it's passable, plus, in the context of a tournament type setting it's more forgivable. I liked the match fine enough, but I absolutely love the gauntlet concept so the matches are automatically at a higher level for me.

    Boy Boss Man has really been raked over the coals in the past month. Between the mother insults, the accusations of bad grades and poor football skills, the whole world is against him it seems.

    This match actually isn't that bad. Kind of a standard Clash title defense actually. The finish is kind of flat and the stuff afterwards is just so silly, it's silly.

    If I remember correctly, doesn't the non-Nash Blaster only have the one match, and that's it? He looks like a shellshocked veteran or something, maybe he just couldn't handle the spotlight.

    This is one of the better Luger promos I've ever seen. He's sweaty and fired up and screaming at Hansen. No stumbling over his words, no "I'm just getting warmed up" or whatever he says at that Clash, just a super solid and to the point promo.

    The Freebirds look insane. Even ignoring what's painted on their faces, just them with the full paint and Jimmy Jam going for it is a wild scene. Then them as the Hollywood rock stars diving into the limo actually is pretty cool.

    Rude pissed off and swearing makes this awesome.

    Ahh bummer I was really hoping Sapphire would speak here. Still pretty good with her iron the cash, but I was hoping for more.

    I thought Brother Love was the star of the segment here. Him selling the shock of General Adnan and that being too sketchy even for him really put it over well. I'm also super into heel Slaughter during war time. Seems pretty nuanced for WWF really.

    Wow another fired up Dusty promo. Is this the first time he's really passionate and angry in his WWF run? I'm on board for him vs. Ted.

    When Sid has actually spoken during the promos it's been good. He doesn't overstay his welcome and just shouts a few lines that matter. No problems with this.

    Whoa I'm pretty into the idea of an LOD vs Demolition feud.

    I've never seen Saba Simba before now and only knew it as an unfortunate gimmick that Tony Atlas had in WWF. This truly is unfortunate. Roddy doesn't appear too pleased either.

    Best match for Muta/oh this year, and Hase was so good here. Tons of fire and really worked hard. I thought he was bleeding from the neck for a minute. Well timed mist and the attack with the patio umbrella worked for the match. I'm trying to think what other NJ matches have been this good. Oh, the Sano/Liger match I liked better. This might be top 3 though.

    I think this is my favorite trios match so far. I've heard of Los Brazos and specifically Super Porky before, and they/him did not disappoint. That dive off the apron in the first fall...... Eddy also had a cool sequence with the missile drop kick into the dive to the floor.

    Chris Cruise! This felt like an exhibition match, knowing what these guys are up to in the other promotions. I did like the structure of the match, starting out with the mat wrestling and building from there, but it didn't have much to it.

    This was cool, and kind of different than what I've seen so far from the lucha stuff. First of all, Perro Aguayo was in it, so how can it be bad? Plus, it's an angle rather than a full on match, so that's cool. So that's THE Konnan? Hm. Anyway, I'm excited for the big singles match coming out of this. Cool addition.

    My wife was in the room during the segment and kind of screamed when Lawler get hit. She was just casually paying attention and thought it was real. Once again, Lawler is incredible.

    Gilbert is already hired back. That's too bad, I was hoping they'd stretch it out for a bit.

    Context aside, great promo by Lawler. Super heated and completely void of jokes or smiling. Awesome.

    Really tone deaf segment and it feels like things are slipping a little bit, in terms of quality control. Like this doesn't seem like something that would happen at the beginning of the year.
