JvK's Six-Factor Model for GWE rankings [BIGLAV]
Luchaundead replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in 2016
To myself I can see it from your point of view but also from the point of view that this is the entire point of the process using everyone's personal point of views as wildly bias or as minimally bias as possible will give you a greater consensus of who is truly great because if you use BIGLAV to come to the final view that Ric Flair is the GWE and I come to the view using Steven's patented Canadian-feels system doesn't that show that he is great when two different people using two totally different processes come to the same outcome? I can totally go with throwing stones at others about their arrogance I based my entire world view on this stance but a project like this that makes it so that everyone's votes equal the same and you are giving into democratic rule is the absolute stripping of arrogance when you say my opinion is just as important as everyone else. -
When I first started getting in the modern UK scene I said there are 2 guys that will be big worldwide stars soon the first on the like was Kris Travis the second Will Osprey obviously Osprey is fulfilling his destiny while Travis the stronger all around performer had unfortunate set backs I thought at the time but, will be back and better than before when he did come back I so excited to finally see him again not only for myself as a fan but for him. I never met the man or saw him perform live but I haven't heard of a single person having a bad thing to say about him RIP

Booker's Dream: Any Era, Any Promotion?
Luchaundead replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Chris Hero: Not only can he easy deliver matches with anyone at any card placement but he's been shown to be an asset for every part of a wrestling business. Hero has trained or helped train countless guys so he'd be helping you build your future stars. Hero can cut believable promos as face or heel and as dominate ace or working his way up underdog. Hero is great on commentary, ever since Steen got signed to the WWE Hero on PWG commentary brings a great mix of comedy and seriously putting the work other something that at times was lacking in the promotion. Hero also has a great mind for booking over all story-lines and interesting spots and finishes so you could use him as a sounding board to help you work through idea. He's got size may not be in the most aesthetic shape but he's got great wind and when focused has shown he can look even better and he's over 6 foot and can work fantastic matches with smaller and bigger men. So I say Chris Hero is the ultimate bookers dream. -
I swear I remember talking about it but I just checked the raw files and it's just not there very odd I'm guessing Katrina used brujeria to erase us talking about Mil losing

You are correct in fact some how the review of both Texano vs Chavo and Fenix vs Mil disappeared. Damn we both really liked the main too

Everyone that says they are having fun in NXT and don't mind staying as long as possible are playing politics there is literally no one that has signed a deal with WWE thinking to themselves that they wan't to stay in developmental forever. The type of workers that are fine with working shows that size for that money are the type that work a show a month for their local indy for their entire career. You'd have to be really dumb to shit on the place you currently are at openly think about your own job sure you might tell a co-worker or a friend that it sucks but would you say that to your boss or to someone that will report it out so the owner could hear it?
-
Was he not telling the truth? Cheap heat is a dumb tactic to do when in the indies. Does it even work half of the time? Those guys showing up are people who are more sensitive to what the workers do to get what they want and generally more aware of it. Resorting to cheap heat for people paying 20 bucks to watch their favorite indy wrestlers aren't gonna go along with that crap I would think. This thought process is essentially a race to the bottom, the idea that because you should expect the crowd to not go along with the basic constructs of wrestling that you then shouldn't even try to work as a professional wrestler will just push the crowd further down the road. There have always been fans that were "smart" to the business and had to make it known to the world so they could feel better about themselves but, in the parlance of the internet circa 2005, don't feed the trolls. If the wrestlers act like every fan is "that guy" then you are inviting more people to become just that and once we have a crowd of everyone being "that guy" the business is dead. I strongly enjoy when ROH wrestlers and commentary go out of their way to stick to the old school shtick even Kevin Kelly constantly saying that is cost the boys a c-note every time they make a lewd obscenity or gesture. Even if I know it's probably not true if he sticks to it and acts as if I can find myself and other getting caught up in it to the point were yes I do believe that Kaz dislikes the fans enough to cost himself $100 (a drop in the bucket to this big time stars) just so he can tell us what he really thinks of us even if I agree with his opinion on Detroit.

I was thinking about this and I feel like it may not be that the crowd at Full Sail is "300 nerds" and more that they get familiar with the characters because they get to go to shows more frequently and they trust the product more. What I mean to say is RAW, SD!, and PPVs are ran in different cities every week/month so the crowds really only get a chance to go to a WWE show 2 or 3 times a year. When the fan goes to their possible only live wrestling show that year and they see a new guy with a goofy gimmick they feel like they are being cheated out of a segment with one of the "stars they see on TV" and because they don't trust WWE to follow through with the character or are conditions not to think that anyone who is on a WWE show is a big deal they reject it. You see the only NXT guys that work on WWE are the ones that don't fall into the category of "goofy" gimmicks, I'd say the only one that seemed close enough to that so you could argue would be Bray Wyatt which if you remember, the unpleasantness of the "Husky Harris" chant during his, was also rejected and this was before the current wave of thought that says "WWE just won't book anyone from NXT strong" what made it work was WWE made it clear that they were committed to this character and that he was something to be taken seriously. Over time the crowds can buy into any gimmick or wrestler but it's an uphill battle when they have a gimmick seen as silly at face value combined with a company that has little good will from it's fans. The NXT crowd expects the company to commit to every guy at least at some level. Once they see that the company is telling them "this is someone" they buy in whole hog because they know that isn't just thrown around. Add to the general good will and trust NXT has earned these crowds are there for cheap or free and they will be going to multiple shows over the course of the year so if every second of every show isn't jam packed with what they consider stars they aren't going to revolt because hey they will see the stars on the next taping or even in the next hour as they know they are going to be exposed to what will be multiple weeks of television.

Do the redheads feel the need to flock together? I hope Scarlet and Taeler don't go as well Oh and remember it's only the land of bad morale if you are talking to someone that works there and had bad morale, according to Lance Storm
-
While I don't argue with your point, especially because I don't know Tim's taste, I would like to just point out that I don't think Cesaro v Zayn could have been presented as being any more important than it was, at the time it was pushed in a way that made it seem like the most important rivalry and matches to be happening in decades. I can easily see that because it was at a time when they only way to watch NXT was on HULU that people that weren't watching it regularly saw it as "that weird stuff happening on the internet" but really story wise it was treated as seriously epic. So the only way presentation of that could be a factor would be if you looked at is with a sigma of being internet exclusive FCW or something.
