  1. This is more of an argument for CM Punk but, when it comes to the whole "affirmative action" argument I would just like to point out that when adjusted for inflation the average ticket price in the 80's is equal to a shirt today. So to me with the product being more readily available on tape merch sales are directly equal to draw especially when people make their purchases at places other than live events. Also this is quickly becoming by new favorite podcast.
  2. The only real difference would be that in that case Rollins would be more clearly the heel while in this situation the "political hit" theory is that HHH is doing all the same stuff to make himself the face under VKM's noise.
  3. "Artists" is quite the stretch
  4. I can't imagine Dylan & Pete don't watch more than me because they do yearbooks and other projects while also keeping up with most of the current stuff I watch
  5. Is that a lot? It really doesn't feel like it.
  6. Oh and I watch usual 1 episode of Masters of sex with my wife each night unless it's Wednesday because we watch NXT together
  7. I also listen to a lot of podcasts so when I say "watch" it may sound more extreme than it really is, based on my average I watch about 5-6 hours/day during the week and closer to 10/day on weekends so average week is about 40 hours fuck wrestling is a full time job plus live shows and podcasts about wrestling
  8. You're not way off most people probably see it this way but me personally I try to know take that in to account as much if someone has shown merit to be on the list that's all that matter
  9. Why isn't there a "both make my list" option?
  10. No one pirates PWG they are all to afraid of Super Dragon
  11. Hopefully PWG doesn't book a suprise Yehi vs ZSJ match for ASW
  12. Why is Colby in the ToPT again?
  13. This is an exciting match I really can't decide who's going to win
  14. Having the newcomer to the product being the driving force of the show is actually a unique dynamic for a podcast I'd definitely listen even if I'm not a huge Memphis fan myself
  15. ZSJ and Osprey have already had a great match good chance they have another Ricochet and Osprey 1st happening in Evolve is interesting with the 2 most likely working NJPW full time for the rest of the year including BOSJ
  16. I am so hype for this there is something so special about the Atlanta boys to me, their comic wit mixed with passion and knowledge of wrestling has been always so entertaining to me I might have to call in sick from work to get caught up on Exile so I can hear this ASAP
  17. Woof, if only you were a deranged billionaire.
  18. Haha I'll have to remember to stay out of this thread until after we record
  19. I feel slightly spoiled now for the podcast but I was going to rip into you if after your Osprey tirade you didn't give Omega full credit for his magnum opus of selling in this match
  20. I agree with this but I think it's more that we are reviewing longer shows on the 2nd fall Pete and Johnny spend 20 mins on an hour show while Pete and I spend 60 mins on 3 hour shows so the review time/show time ratio is actually the same. Also I think Pete likes the show within a show feel that we've cultivated but, we will take your critique into consideration for sure and thank you for it.
  21. Haha I felt extra rushed for no real reason it doesn't help that I normally listen to podcasts on 3x speed so I now talk naturally faster I'll try to slow it down. You get everything thing as soon as you subcribe including endvr and specials. The chapter shows are normally up about 10 days after the show here's the site https://demandprogress.pivotshare.com
  22. You might have dropped a few comical one liners but really you didn't critique much about Osprey in-ring except his striking which are never really put over as strong to begin with the only strike he does that has any heat is the turnbuckle head tucked super kick that always looks devastating. Most of the time in his matches his strikes are used to get momentum rolling and half the time are no sold anyway so I'd say they work with his weakness in a way that plays in to your opinion of him so that's hardly a complaint if, his strikes looked weak and were put over as death sure but they aren't. Otherwise I can accept that you think he looks soft that's your opinion and maybe he does but Ricky Morton made a legendary career from looking soft and selling.
  23. After finally watching the SCI not, that I wasn't already familiar with Kong just seeing him working with Moose, I'm really wondering if Kong would be a good fit as a full time ROH guy in fact he may be an Abbyesque "attraction" guy that really shouldn't have a full time run anywhere that said I would not mind seeing him in ROH more often especially if I can get Mark Briscoe trying to figure out what to do with him with the same look on his face my dog gets when I pretend to throw a tennis ball and she can't figure out where it went. Yeah I see that it's really feeling weird though having an ROH product filled with older guys in the mid-card, almost hopeless young guys that don't work anywhere opening the shows, and then the very thin roster of stars on top of every show. But when it comes down to it it's about making money and if this is working I understand why they stick with this style. No company can get away with booking wrestling for the art of it and make it for a long period of time.
  24. Yeah sorry technical difficulties but we'll be back in business this week with a jam packed epi
  25. Doi is easy the cut off point for DG works when it comes to GWE or just great worker conversation, Doi is easily the best character worker in DG especially because he can actually switch much better than anyone else he is clearly better as heel but he is still almost as good as a face. His weak side being his in-ring it really comes down to what metrics take precedence in your derision making. Doi has had very few truly great matches but, I could argue that he's second only to Cima in being greatly involved in DG execution and popularity outside of Japan by having SpeedMuscle matches in TNA, being a regular in the DG trios in ROH, working a few stand out PWG matches, (including having a decent match with Joey Ryan which should be seen as almost a miracle) and he was the dream gate champ when DGUSA was first starting which I think is historically over looked that he was being pushed as the top guy of the company while they were attempting to expand which I know could be seen as a plus or a minus. I'm not sure I would put Naruki Doi but he's a guy that is definitely not outside of the realm of conversation.
