This was one of my biggest mark our moments of all time. This match had a huge "big fight" feel to it, and was brilliantly put together by the bookers and workers involved. And then when the moment comes that my hero, Hulk Hogan, turns heel. Awesome! As a teenager watching the PPV, I was marking out big time, as I was cheering for Hall and Nash. I was a huge mark for what would become the nWo, and thought as a faction, up until the watering down period late 1996, early 1997; they were one of the best groups. This match, although not the best match ever by any means, was just put together in a great way, and contains perhaps the best heel turn ever.

There goes Daniels off my list too.
-
People eliminated from the top 100 from my ballot so far: The Barbarian, The One Man Gang, Stan Lane, Ron Simmons, Finn Balor/Prince Devitt, Seth Rollins and Nigel McGuinness.
-
Ditto. He has a right to privacy, didn't know he was being recorded, and shouldn't have something like that surface online, unless it has his permission and the other party's permission as well. Which it clearly didn't. So I'm glad he won, and hope he wins the appeal too.
-
I can almost guarantee that I am the high vote on Hogan. And HHH is also on my list.
-
Now that Ron Simmons has shown up, my bottom three are all honorable mentions.
-
The only honorable mentions guys that have shown up on my ballot so far, and I wasn't the high vote on either one of them, were The Barbarian and The One Man Gang.
-
Takeshi Morishima is someone I completely forgot about when compiling my list. He's one of my favorites, I probably would have placed him somewhere between 85-100, on my list as I've only seen some of his NOAH stuff, but loved all of his ROH stuff.
-
All of those are good-great matches. I also enjoy his stuff against Savage from 1985-1986, vs Hansen in 4/90, vs Muta 5/93, and many others I can't think of at the moment. But the ones you listed are some of my favorites for sure.

I can't watch 2004 because it forces me to cheer on a child murderer for over an hour. 1995 is under rated it's a fun solid match with a quick pace, good Bulldog and Michaels story and it has Dick Murdoch. I agree. The 2004 Rumble was one of my favorite matches for a time, but I can't cheer on a child/wife murderer now, and it is hard to watch most, if not all of Benoit's stuff.

Re-booking WCW from Nitro to infinity and beyond!
TheU_2001 replied to Grimmas's topic in Armchair Booking
I like what you're doing with this thread too. I really enjoyed Nitro back when it started, and love the re-imagining. -
After GWE, I'd be interested in reading the rest of this story. Very good so far, I like it. This would be a show I'd watch.
-
This is freaking awesome. I ranked them very high in my top tag teams for GWE, but now looking back I regret not putting them at #1. I'm happy with my #1 choice, but I should've put the Holy Demon Army there. Instead I had them a spot or two lower I think. Still though, one of if not the greatest team ever.
-
I only included some Lucha guys, as that's been a blind spot for me. I've seen some of the more famous matches, but didn't include many Lucha guys as I just haven't seen enough of the footage. Ditto with World of Sport and Shoot fighting guys outside of Maeda and Takada, and I also didn't include any women on my list. I haven't been too familiar with Joshi matches outside of a couple. I would like to watch some more of it though. Also, three names I didn't include were Hiroshi Hase (I forgot), Buddy Rose, and Raven. I'm sure there are others I forgot to include too, but overall I guess I was happy with my list. Also, why do many people not like Kurt Angle? I'm just curious.
-
Probably the high vote on Hogan. Maybe on a few others as well, like Rude, Okada, and maybe Lesnar and Rollins.
-
I can't wait for the final results. I do know that my #1 is the same as at least one other person, and probably a few others. So mine is not a unique #1.
-
Both of mine are in, I wish I would've had a little more time to watch some footage on a few guys. Some shoot guys like Maeda and Takada, who I did vote for, and also some more Lucha stuff, which has always been hard for me to get into, although I did enjoy the few El Dandy matches I watched. Plus El Hijo del Santo is pretty dang good and Rey and Psicosis are both awesome. I will say, I'm more than likely the high vote on a certain '80s and '90s icon however, brother!

I finished this episode of the show and am halfway through the second half as of now. This show has been great. I do disagree with where some of the guys are ranked, like Hogan for instance, but to each his own I suppose. Overall this was a great episode of the show and part 2 has been as well. It's just phenomenal work, on a project that you can tell, Chad and Parv put a lot of effort and thought into. I can't wait to, finish part 2 and also see where everyone ranks at the end of the project. Keep up the great work Chad and Parv.

Next for me will be finishing my WWE Top 100 matches to see before you die list. I just listened to the multi-part podcast on this, and a buddy of mine and I are going through and re-watching many of the matches and giving them star ratings and our thoughts. I have about 35 or so more matches to re-watch from that list.
-
Wrestling match hall of fame? Also something I could get behind and think it would require less binge watching overall. This could be a great new topic. I could easily get behind this.
