  1. Rocky Mtn Thunder is a great team and that name is awesome! Triple Dog Collar match is a fun idea..even more so with these guys involved...loved it! The World title match was everything it had been built up to be...Orndorff had an amazing title reign...and Steamboat is a perfect fit as champion with so many heel challengers waiting in the wings.
  2. Great job having the classic Mid Atlantic feel while getting over so many new/different characters! Taylor vs. Prichard is a perfect TV title angle. I really like Idol as a babyface here and there so many directions you can with him down the line starting out as a face.
  3. Two supercards in Memphis and Birmingham! Things are hot in the UWF,big win for Lawler over the former NWA World Champ. Luger is off to great start, nice win over Butch Reed. I would have hated to follow the Road Warriors against Brody/Hansen...I'm sure they'll meet again...perhaps in Jaoan at some point.
  4. Flair in the Sports Shop was awesome! So much great stuff going on in the WWC but the Owen Hart story has been so well done and I can't wait to see it explode, Owen is going to be a HUGE star on the island and throughout the NWA! The Invaders and Colon fire back at Bam Bam, I love it!
  5. Classic fiery Savage promo here, Windham is in trouble! Count me in as being intriqued and excited with the Sting/Tonga Kid combo. Another fun edition of Prime Time!
  6. World Class Championship Wrestling Sports Arena Amarillo, TX Saturday Feb 15, 1986 Bell time: 8pm Ring Announcer Marc Lowrance welcomes everyone to the Sports Arena in Amarillo. Marc then brings out local favorites, Terry Funk and his brother Dory Funk Jr who is moving slowly and wearing a neckbrace…..Terry Funk grabs the mic. Terry: "I'm sure all you fine folks saw what happened to my brother Dory Jr last night on television at the hands of those low life egg sucking dogs Garvin and Embry. Unfortunately, the Doctors won't clear Dory to wrestle here tonight because of his neck injury….but don't you think for one moment that these goofs are getting off the hook…..because Junior and I made a trip down to the nuthouse this week…and we went and visited our lunatic brother." Dory: "Terry, I'm still not sure this is a good idea." Terry: "Dammit Junior, the Doctor says the electroshock therapy has helped him and he's ready to be a semi-functioning member of society now!" Dory: "Well….all I can say is these guys deserve it and regardless of what happens tonight I'll be looking for revenge of my own soon…" Terry: "I would expect nothing less….but for tonight standing in for Dory Funk Jr. will be our lunatic brother….the Funk they don't talk about…..JIMMY JACK FUNK!" =================================================== Brian Adias pinned "The Texas Dream" Dirty Rhodes w/Percival Pringle III with a small package WCCW Television Championship REVENGE MATCH "Iceman" King Parsons fought "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert w/Missy Hyatt to a double countout as they brawled around ringside out of control #1 Contender Tag Team Gauntlet Match The Moondogs (Spot/Rex) Vs. 7. I was watching some some old AWA on youtube again the other night and it's crazy how much better what you have going here is than what they really did. If Verne had went to the lengths you are to develope young talent the AWA might have survived...or at least longer than it did. I never got to see much of Larry Cameron back in the day other than in magazines but always thought he looked impressive, it will be fun to what his progress tagging with Finlay.
  8. Great interaction with Flair/Lawler to open the show...that alone should pack the house this week. Being in Tupelo what could be better than Tracy Smothers getting tarred and feathered...classic southern rasslin angle...great heat for Landell and Rip Strong card for Birmingham with multiple main event level matches!
  9. Love the finish for Killer Khan/Adonis match....it gets Adonis without hurting Khan at all and I can only imagine the pop from the crowd when Khan spewed the mist at Paul E.
  10. Awesome tv, what a great main event that really serves to not only heat up Magnum vs. The Horsemen but Tully vs. Hayes as well! Rock Riddle continues to be one of my favorite parts of the show week in and week out! I look forward to seeing heel Johnny Rich with Paul Jones...things like this that is so far removed from "real life" is what I find the most fun in this project.
  11. World Class Championship Wrestling TV Recorded at the Sportatorium in Dallas, TX on 2/13 Airing on Friday 2/14 on WTVT throughout Texas And various outlets across the Southwest. Hosted by Bill Mercer and Bruce Prichard Ring Announcer/Interviewer: Marc Lowrance (Highlights are shown of Jimmy Garvin, Eric Embry, and Precious costing the Funks their NWA World Tag Team title match against The Andersons in Houston last Saturday night, we then go to Bill Mercer and Bruce Prichard who welcome us to the Sportatorium) Mercer: "We have an excellent show in store for you this evening, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel will be here in action today and we'll also hear from the WCCW Television Champion 'Iceman' King Parsons about a situation involving 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert last Saturday night as well." Prichard: "Well if possession is truly 9/10ths of the law, then Eddie Gilbert is the actual Television Champion." (As Prichard is finishing this sentence, the Funks are in the ring with a mic) Terry: "Bruce Prichard, shut your stupid mouth…..What happened last Saturday night was a G** D**** travesty and we want those two sissies in the ring right here TONIGHT!! I'm serious Mercer, get those two out here and get them in the ring with us or we will not leave this ring until they do!!" (Garvin, Precious, and Embry are in the aisle way with a microphone) Garvin: "Yeah…yeah….yeah…yeah…Terry Funk, did you really think that you were going to come down to ringside a few weeks ago, kiss my squeeze right on her mouth and you wouldn't pay the price for that?? Is that what you thought Terry Funk?? Well obviously you were WRONG!! We waited until we could do something big….something you wouldn't forget and what better than to cost you the World Tag Team Championship!" Terry: "Oh…so that's what this all about….that little hussy of yours got a taste of a real man and you're still sore about it….I get that Jimmy….I really do….but I'm still going to kick the living s*** out of you none the less." Embry: "Mr. Funk….I respect the hell out of you….I respect your brother Dory Jr there and I also respect your father…..but you left us no choice with what you did to Precious." Terry: "Embry….you damn idiot….I don't care about your respect! I hate YOU, I hate your BROTHER, I hate your FATHER, and I really hate your w**** of a MOTHER!!" Embry: "How dare you!?!?! My Mother is a saint on earth!! You want a match with us? Is that what you want?? You want a match with me and Jimmy Garvin??" (Garvin interjects) Garvin: "Whoah…slow down Eric, If you want a match with us…..you can have it….in fact you can have one right here TONIGHT in Dallas…..BUT, only if the North American Tag belts are on the line!" Terry: "If that's all it takes to get you sissies in the ring then consider it done! Junior and I will kick the crap out of you and then I might just give ol' Precious there another kiss on the mouth because I know she wants it!" (having gotten what they came for, the Funks exited the ring) MATCH #1: Bad News Allen pinned Randy Watson after the 'Ghetto Blaster' (Post Match: Bad News grabs the microphone) Bad News: "Ronnie Garvin, this week it's you and me one on one….the winner gets a shot at David Shultz and MY Texas Championship. Garvin, I'll admit you're a tough man….but nothing is going to stop me from getting my revenge on Shultz and getting my belt back…..and once I get that title back, Rick Martel….I'm coming for you, boy!" COMMERCIALS (Percy Pringle III joins Marc Lowrance at ringside) Marc: "Percy Pringle, rumor has it you have a huge star making his debut here in just a few moments." Pringle: "Well Marc, I usually don't condone the telling of rumors but this one is true…..I have a wrestling mega star….the one….the only….Dirty Rhodes!" Marc: "The American Dream…wait….did you say DIRTY Rhodes??" Pringle: "That's right Marc, 'the Texas Dream' Dirty Rhodes….the one true star of the Rhodes family is here and part of the Pringle Dynasty." (Roger Smith a/k/a Dirty Rhodes makes his way to ringside bearing a strong resemblance to the American Dream Dusty Rhodes) Rhodes: "Thank ya very much for that intro baby…..I am the man…the myth…the legend himself baby….don't be fooled by cheap imitations if ya wheel…..Dirty Rhodes is here and I'm here for gold, Percy, let's do this!" MATCH #2: "The Texas Dream" Dirty Rhodes pinned Will Owens after an elbow drop (Bruce Prichard is at ringside with the NWA World Champion Rick Martel) Prichard: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the NWA World Champion Rick Martel is here and later tonight he'll be facing 'the California Stud' Rod Price and then this Saturday he will be defending the title in Amarillo." Martel: "Yes Bruce, I'm very excited to be here in Texas….I've heard such great things about World Class and the level of competition here is 2nd to none. Top contenders like Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, the Funks, and Bad News Allen…." (Big John Studd, Rod Price, and Percy Pringle interupt) Studd: "Martel you come down here and you have the nerve to mention top contenders in Texas and you don't mention the real #1 Contender the North American Champion the 'Giant' John Studd! Do you know not remember the beating I put on you up in Lutte in Canada?" Martel: "Studd, of course you are a top contender….and of course I remember our match in Canada…and I also remember you were unsuccessful in winning my World Championship….however I will gladly defend this title against you or anyone else that Fritz Von Erich deems worthy of a shot at this title." Studd: "Well, this title over my shoulder says I'm the #1 Contender to that belt…..but you go ahead and step in the ring against my man here, Rod Price…..and I'm going to grab a seat here and check out the action, chump…..I mean…ha, champ." MATCH #3: NWA World Champion Rick Martel defeated "California Stud" Rod Price w/Percy Pringle by submission with the Boston Crab COMMERCIALS (Gary Hart comes to ringside with Kokina and Ottmhan Singh and is joined by Marc Lowrance) Marc: "Gary Hart, you've got two of the biggest men in World Class Wrestling right here in the Mighty Kokina and Ottmhan Singh but conspicuous by their absence are Austin Idol and Makhan Singh." Hart: "Well Mr. Lowrance, first things first after being assaulted by a lunatic with a bullwhip…Austin Idol has decided that Texas isn't for him and he's out of here. As far as Makhan Singh goes…..he kept losing matches and embarrassing us so I sent him on his way too. So no more Makhan Singh….and no more Ottmhan Singh….this big man here is better known to his friends and in the bars around Dallas and Ft. Worth as 'Big Bubba' and that's what he'll be referred to moving forward. Speaking of moving forward, we have our sights set on the Von Erichs….we want those six man tag team titles when we find the right partner….but for now we've issued a challenge to any pair of Von Erichs to step in the ring in Amarillo, Texas with these two men…..and just in case you can't see how impressive they are just standing here….watch this!!" MATCH #4: Handicap Match Mighty Kokina/Big Bubba w/Gary Hart defeated The Hammer Brothers/Donnie Brooks when Bubba gave Brooks a powerslam followed by a 'big splash' from Kokina (Bruce Prichard is joined in the dressing room by 'Iceman' King Parsons) Prichard: "Iceman, last week in Houston you were outsmarted by 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert who now has your Television title not to mention he laid quite a beating on you as well." Parsons: "Outsmarted me?? That's what you call that garbage he pulled last week…..shaking my hand and then attacking me from behind with his boot. Let me tell you this Bruce Prichard, you raggedy rooty poot….Eddie Gilbert is a coward who couldn't deal with the fact that I was the better man….so he did what cowards do and that's attack me from behind using a weapon….but I'll tell you something right now Prichard….I got something for him in Amarillo, I'm not coming to wrestle this time….'Iceman' is coming to fight…and I'm coming to get my belt back!!" MATCH #5: "Dirty" Dutch Mantell pinned Sammy Hall after a swinging neckbreaker…..As the referee was raising Dutch's hand in victory, 'Dr. D' David Shultz hit the ring and attacked Mantell, choking him with his own bullwhip and dragging him around the ring…..Mantell is left laying in a heap in the middle of the ring. Gary Hart comes to ringside and hands Shultz an envelope full of cash….the camera catches this along with Shultz saying, "tell Idol that's the easiest money I've ever made" as he exits the Sportatorium. 12. Man you are doing a phenomenal job with the Freebirds! They will return to Texas even bigger stars than they left. I'm enjoying everything you've been doing with Matt Borne so far....I look forward to whats next. Not sure what the Stud Stable is up to screwing with King Tonga but I'm sure they have a plan. Paul E and Adonis continue to be one of my favorite parts of the show week after week!

  19. Again, you do such an amazing job capturing the feel of SNME! Hogan vs. Dibiase at WM2 has been built masterfully with all the different players that have been involved...Gang, Bundy, Gino, Hansen, etc. Looking forward to WM2! I love the layout for Prime Time and what a treat for the fans to see Hogan in action. Very solid line up for King of the Ring!

Arn: "That's exactly right Ole, while there's no question that the Funk Brothers are one of the greatest teams in the history of this industry, even they know better than to think that they were going to mess with 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair, and then disparage the Anderson name…..even a couple of dumb Texans know better than to mess with the Horsemen." Ole: "Yet….that's exactly what they did, they called us out like we weren't going to hop a plane and come to Houston, Texas this Saturday night and teach them a lesson about why we are the World Tag Team Champions and the greatest tag team in pro wrestling today…bar none." Arn: "So get it straight Funks….we respect you, but we don't like you and we sure as heck don't fear you…Saturday night in Houston you two will be another notch on our belt…and two more victims of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew." Garvin: "I told you David, he told me to 'stay out of his business' and I am…so NO, I'm not his partner." Embry: "Oh God, it's gotta be Leatherface!" Garvin: "Eric, why do you always assume a mystery partner is Leatherface??" Shultz: "Garvin, what the hell is his problem? Embry, how long was the bus that used to pick you up for school?" Embry: "I didn't ride the bus, my mom took me to school." Shultz: "Well….there ya go." Garvin: "Leave him alone Shultz…..anyway, it has to be a bluff…because nobody would want to team with Ronnie, at this point even those goody goody Von Erichs wouldn't team with him." Embry: "What…I know who it might be…"(whispers something to Garvin) Garvin: "ERIC…it can't be him, he just passed away." Embry: "But…maybe that's just what they WANT us to think." Shultz: "Shut up! Listen, we'll force him to show his hand before this show Is over and find out who the partner is." Embry: "Fine, but if I hear a chainsaw…I am out of there!" Shultz: "I hate you…" (storms off) COMMERCIALS MATCH #2: Revenge Match The Steiner Bros. w/Eddie Gilbert & Missy Hyatt defeated The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton/Tommy Rogers) when Gilbert tripped Fulton allowing Rick Steiner to steal a pinfall for the win! Lance: "Man, Mike has been killing it here in the gym and he's going to come back better than ever and when he does….the Pringle Dynasty better watch out!'
