Give credit to the Nature Boy. Usually doesn't think outside of the box but picking Jimmy Snuka to wrestle Piper is a brilliant move on his part, given their history together!

Vince McMahon is officially the most powerful man in sports, as we speak.

Edit: double post, sorry.

I don't know if it's a matter of being that invested in that angle as much as Bryan perhaps sees a chance to make Drew Gulak a bigger name on the Smackdown roster. Maybe he wants to make sure Gulak gets a proper program along with Bryan before he decides to call it quits full-time. Considering how Bryan has been key in bringing along a couple of names on Smackdown since he returned (see Mustafa Ali), that wouldn't surprise me the tiny least.

I don't know but somehow, Vince made it happen.

From what I read, WWE have given "essential media" passes so their employees so they can keep filming. Looks like it's working so far.

According to Fightful, there has been a positive test for COVID-19 among the company, although not a worker: https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/exclusives/wwe-talent-say-company-sent-memo-about-positive-coronavirus-covid-19-test

The Revival asked for one thing; they wanted tag team wrestling to be featured prominently and as seriously as the singles division. That was their main point of contention with Vince. And with the emphasis that AEW has put on tag team wrestling since their inception, I don't think they'll ask for being the AEW World Tag Team Champions for most of their stint there if they go there. They'll have plenty of teams to work with: the Bucks, SCU, Lucha Bros, Best Friends, Private Party, Dark Order, etc....They can be featured there without being the World Tag Team Champions. Hell, a feud vs the Young Bucks would probably even supercede whoever the tag champs are at that moment.

Cancelled from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore. Haven't seen anything on WWE.com suggesting it won't take place. They'll probably do it from the PC.

Never said it wouldn't work. Like I wrote previously, if Jericho has been able to cut fantastic promos on a drone two weeks in a row, he could make it work too. At the end of the day, if we can all have our little dose of wrasslin' and it can be provided safely for everyone involved, I'm not rejecting any suggestion they can pull off.
-
Sure. Why not....Let's play a recording of people singing Judas during Jericho's entrance with thousands of mannequins. Yet, Jericho would find a way to make it work because he's the GOAT.

I was a bit stunned at the prospect that WWF actually spent $5 million to sign Dr. Death around that time. JR definitely had that emotional bias speaking about him because of the relationship he and Williams had. And Corny was just being Corny so it is what it is. As much as I hate Russo, I found it fascinating to learn that the whole thing for him was about shutting up Bradshaw and hoping he'd get knocked out cold. And in hindsight, a booking idea that turned HORRIBLY wrong for everyone involved.

Yeah, faces and heels are separated in the crowd. Notice that the heels are always on the right side of the camera (Sammy Guevara, Shawn Spears, Britt Baker last week) while the faces are on the left side (the Gunns and Marko Stunt this week).

People assume that AEW's momentum being halted because of the pandemic = AEW not surviving once this blows all over. Be more worried about smaller indies that don't have the financial resources that WWE and AEW have.
-
Great point. And in reality, the chances for Adam Cole to be THE top draw in a promotion is better in AEW than in WWE. Chris Jericho won't be there forever. And I can see MJF & Cole coexist as top draws on the heel side in AEW.

To my knowledge, only Jimmy has kids from a previous relationship, not Jey, unless I'm mistaken. But no doubt that Roman's situation had to weigh in heavily in their concerns.

In typical snake fashion, Jake secures his title shot against Ted Dibiase. Loved that battle royal and a nice touch to have Harley Race suddenly enter it. Great show again!

Arguably the hottest tag team feud in the 1980s, The Rock N' Roll Express and the Midnight Express spent countless nights stealing the shows everywhere they wrestled, giving NWA fans great memories to talk about even to this day. Add to that the numerous antics of Jim Cornette and you have all the elements needed to create a classic rivalry. This is where you can share memories and favorite highlights of their feud.

But why is it a bad thing for Otis to plateau as a gatekeeper face? The key thing is that he is OVER with the crowd, he's got charisma in spades and there's always room for comedy characters. Look at how R-Truth has been employed as long as he's been with WWE mostly by his comedy work. For me, if you're over with the crowd, no matter your position on the card, you have a use on my roster. This is how WWE should see it.

No problems, buddy. As long as you have fun, that's what matters

Sorry for the size of the pic but this is the symbolism explained behind the Firefly Funhouse Match last night. Basically, it encapsulated everything that John Cena feared in his personal and professional life.

Actually, it would absolutely make sense, given the leitmotiv behind Ali's mentality in his vignettes that aired a while back. As far as that story goes, I certainly didn't expect WWE to have Sonya be the heel whenever they'd decide to break them up. But considering how well people have reacted to the Otis/Mandy angle, that was the right way to go.

Found the New Jack episode on YouTube only a few hours after it aired on VICE & Crave Canada (not from VICE's account but still found it rather easily)
