  1. It's not like I was personally expecting Cody to tell Hager: "Hey, look, if I successfully defend my title next week, then it's you and me at Fyter Fest". Even as a babyface, I'm expecting Cody to look past that title defense and thinking directly about Hager. And honestly, this is what I expect to be Cody's downfall as TNT Champion at some point; he'll lose the title to an unexpected challenger because he'll be looking past him towards someone else. And then, we can get heel Cody for the first time in AEW.
  2. Yeah, I don't know why they have Billie with the big red lipstick when she looks so gorgeous on that video.
  3. No, but I believe that Michael Hayes, Jeremy Borash and Triple H were producing the Backlot Brawl for TakeOver: In Your House. So, it doesn't seem far-fetched to think that Hayes was the other unnamed producer.
  4. Pretty sure than yes.
  5. Really? Only 5'5'' for Scarlett? Wow, I swore she was a bit taller than that but then again, when she was with Impact Wrestling, there were not a lot of big guys and gals around that time.
  6. Out of curiosity, how tall is Scarlett though? That might be what's throwing most people off, as she seems taller than the usual woman on the NXT (or WWE roster) in general.
  7. Opener of the PPV for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. Loved that Corey Graves questioned New Day's strategy to use Xavier Woods to team with Kofi Kingston rather than Big E because E could've matched up better with Cesaro & Sheamus' power than Woods would've. The chemistry between the Usos & New Day is well documented but The Bar definitely gel with both of them as well and I thought the match overall was well paced enough to let things breathe and allow everyone to get their stuff in; which is somewhat hard to do in multi-men/multi-tag matches and those have a tendency to become a clusterfuck. This one was also helped by not having a gimmick attached to it (even though the match would've delivered, I think this could've been seen as a crutch in case the match wouldn't have gone too well) and overall, I thought it was a fun match. Not as good as the epic matches that Usos & New Day put out sans The Bar but very enjoyable nonetheless.
  8. I'm very curious to see which direction you'll go with Brian Pillman here. Sure, logic tells that Bruce is acting like a jerk with the way he hogged the spotlight but I'd be damned if you couldn't make a great heel with Pillman at the moment in a feud that could tear down the house at the midcard level for the better part of 1988. Using Bruce as a fodder to make Pillman your next superstar would be good booking!
  9. I'll admit I was surprised to see the Rock N' Roll Express not winning the tournament, as they were my odds-on favorite to win it but I think they'll eventually get their day. Nothing like massive heat for a team like Uncle Ivan & Sheiky Baby all the way to the finals. But to me, your smartest move was to put JYD as your top babyface draw. Hell, JYD ANYWHERE is a top draw, especially in a territory like Florida. I'm looking forward to see who'll be his first official challenger.
  10. I'm almost convinced that they use that speech so they could use that in the angle to dismiss Baron Corbin as Constable Corbin on RAW when they blamed him for the shitty ratings it was doing.
  11. NXT TakeOver: Portland was on a Sunday too.
  12. They're sure doing the best with what they got right now, especially with the talents stuck in Canada (Rosemary, Bravo, The North, Cody Deaner). It certainly makes you question how in the hell they haven't done remotely anything with Tessa Blanchard since then - and which will more than likely lead to her being stripped of the title this week.
  13. Remember that segment last week with Otis & Mandy at the pool? Turns out WWE wanted at first to use Zack Ryder's pool, even if they fired him 6 weeks ago. Even better, they went through his fiancee Chelsea Green to ask. https://www.webisjericho.com/matt-cardona-left-shaking-in-anger-after-wwe-ask-to-use-his-pool-for-smackdown-segment/
  14. The name didn't ring a bell for me but the very first wrestling site I've ever consulted online was Scoops. Hell, I was literally skipping classes in college so I could spend more time scouring Scoops for wrestling content.
  15. I guess here, you can see the difference of mentality between Lio Rush and someone like Aleister Black. I recall reading an interview from Black a few years back where he was still on NXT but working a European tour and he did exactly what Lio Rush said he was asked to do; making sure that water bottles were ready for talents in the locker room, carrying stuff, etc. Roman Reigns came to him and told him he didn't have to do that but Black said he did it because that's how he was taught in the business and he wanted to show respect to the locker room. Lio can play the race card all he wants but his history of immaturity caught up to him once again.
  16. I'm glad we don't have to mention how little time it took for WWE to make John Morrison the biggest dork there is on the roster.

    AEW Dark Megathread

I don't want to discourage you but there are parts of Quebec French that are even more far apart from each other that you would think. For instance, I was born and live in an area where we have unintelligible slang for most parts of Quebec. So I can't even begin to imagine how hard it would be for an untrained ear! :p
  18. Ah yes, the good ol' fashioned Horsemen vs babyfaces brawl to close the go-home show before a big event. This never fails to get us pumped up. The Varsity Club will definiely regreat turning their back on Rick Steiner, I can feel it.
  19. Nice! Man, I would've loved to be there to see that, haha!

    AEW Dark Megathread

Man, I haven't watched Dark in ages. But with Mox working the next episode, I think I'll resume my Dark watch again.
  21. Like I said last night, I don't think it's a coincidence that WWE is doing a round of calls to possibly bring back the released talents hinted at in the Slammiversary trailer but in Drake Maverick's case, I genuinely believe that WWE was caught flat-footed as they didn't expect him to garner as much fan support as he did with the video he shot after his release. They more than likely intended to bring Drake back in the tournament to pretty much fill the role that Tony Nese did in dropping all matches but I feel like the backlash was bad enough for just firing talents during the pandemic that it would make things even worse just to have him job out the whole way. In the end, while I'm extremely happy for Drake, WWE stumbled on that one guy who would've done everything to get his job back and that's what happened.
  22. Honestly, I was looking at that match and I felt like the match Jungle Boy had with Chris Jericho late last year has been a confidence booster for him and I'm not sure he could've had the match he had with Cody last night if he hadn't had that one before. He's been growing leaps and bounds as a performer in the past few months and I could legit see him as a TNT Champion in the future.
  23. That must be why Bryan Alvarez reported that WWE is calling back talents they fired last month by offering them a fraction of what they were doing before they got fired. And coincidentally, 24 hours after the Slammiversary teaser Impact released, featuring those said talents. Sorry, but I don't buy what Dave is saying here. WWE will never be comfortable with anyone making money elsewhere.
  24. I'm fully expecting a Mad Max-like vehicle for Britt Baker in about a month
  25. I actually totally missed the Brian Myers/Curt Hawkins reference on the trailer and I watched it probably 5 times last night.
