  1. The usual suspects keeping on with the momentum. And that's what makes them awfully hard to beat.
  2. ACCW selects Bota the Witch Doctor and withdraws from the draft.
  3. Apparently, one of the reasons why Stardom turned down WWE's offer was because Bushiroad's plans were more specific while WWE's were vague (shocker, I know). Stardom was also afraid that WWE would cut down on the event schedule. Interestingly enough, WWE was hoping to also use that to induct Rossy Ogawa in the WWE HOF in 2020.
  4. Atlantic Coast selects Steve Gatorwolf
  5. In 3 weeks, AEW created these new stars: -Riho -Private Party -Darby Allin Which new stars WWE have created in the past 3 weeks, let alone 3 years?
  6. Atlantic Coast selects Pete Doherty
  7. Oh yeah, I'm sure Arn Anderson would be thrilled to have the woman that cost him his job in WWE show up in AEW. Pretty sure Alicia Fox is retired anyway now. They don't need the headache she is.
  8. Solid outing! Looking forward to Patterson vs the Soul Man!
  9. In AEW's defense, I don't know how they could've predicted that Luchasaurus would've torn his hamstring hours before the show and be forced to book Marko Stunt in there instead. Old school farts can complain all they want about the logics of having a Marko Stunt on a roster but where were they in Spike Dudley's prime? Marko will be their version of Spike Dudley; the guy that heels will use to throw around and destroy to get heel heat. And when Luchasaurus will come back to make the save, he will get a monstrous pop.
  10. Sorry for the delay. Atlantic Coast selects Tim Patterson
  11. They could but at the same time, we all know MJF will turn on Cody; it's a matter of time. I won't see a massive uproar if Jericho retains at Full Gear but tons of heel heat for MJF.
  12. Atlantic Coast selects Tyree Pride
  13. Atlantic Coast selects Brett Wayne Sawyer
  14. Atlantic Coast selects Tim Horner.
  15. Eddie Kingston's situation reminds me a bit of LuFisto's. This year was also supposed to be her final year because of everything she went through with her health in recent years as well as the frustration of being overlooked by major promotions but she also decided to keep going. I hope she'll get the same opportunity Kingston is having now, no matter the promotion.
  16. I assume that would've been the case.
  17. Based on the confrontation we saw in the first Dynamite, I'm tempted to say that the finals will be Lucha Bros vs SCU but I wouldn't be shocked if those teams mutually cost each other their chances. Best Friends vs SCU is the only matchup that I legit have no clue how they'll go tonight.
  18. Other tidbit: the head trainers would be Daisuke Sekimoto and Meiko Satomura.
  19. I don't know but what intrigues me here is the Sendai tie-in. Who there could be their ace in the Women's division?
  20. About the rumored NXT Japan....Big Japan and Sendai could be involved.
  21. Events for October 12, 13 & 14th, 1984 Atlantic Coast Championship Wrestling TV, October 12th, 1984 -The opening match was supposed to feature a tag match between The Soviet Soldiers and the team of Greg Valentine & Gino Hernandez but Gino came to the set and told David Crockett and Bob Caudle that there's no chance he's gonna team with Valentine, considering their history and also that he must start his preparation for his big match with Randy Savage on December 31st. -Greg Valentine defeated The Soviet Soldiers in a handicap match in 10:50 after submitting Boris Zhukov to a Figure Four Leglock. After the match, Dusty Rhodes tries to come help out Valentine but he is ambushed by Bulldog Bob Brown. It's finally gonna be Randy Savage who'll make the save but unfortunately for him, he won't be able to get his hands on Gino... The Briscos are confronted by the Rock N' Roll RPMs, calling them bullies for what they did. Mike Davis confronts Jack Brisco and says he won't get to push him around when they'll meet on TV this week. Jack says they'll see about that but he wants to wrestle Davis on his own terms. Abdullah bloodied both Sunny War Cloud & Jimmy Valiant with his trademark fork until the Atlantic Coast Heavyweight champion Tony Atlas & Don Kernodle ran in to make the save. Tony Atlas says he came here to fight and he won't stand for the House of Humperdink's shenanigans and wants an 8-Men Tag. Eddie Graham came out and announced that the match will start right now! 8-Men Tag: AWA Atlantic Coast Heavyweight Champion Tony Atlas, Don Kernodle & The Gunslingers beat the House of Humperdink (Kabuki/Purple Haze/Abdullah the Butcher/Kevin Sullivan) after Atlas pinned Kabuki in 15:48 Steel Cage: Dory Funk Jr beat King Tonga in 9:58 October 13th, 1984 Miami, FL -Lanny Poffo fight The Great Kabuki to a double disqualification in 9:26 -Boris Zhukov beat King Tonga in 7:30 -Atlantic Coast Tag Team Champion Johnny Weaver beat Mr. Pogo by DQ in 9:02 AWA Atlantic Coast TV Championship: Mike Davis beat Mucho Macho (John Bonello under a mask) in 1:50 by reverse decision. Like the previous night, Mucho Macho had originally won the match but Eddie Graham came out to say that since Macho didn't have a valid wrestler's license, he had to return the title to Mike Davis. Davis KOed Macho with the TV title belt after the match. -Jerry Brisco beat Don Kent in 6:40 with the Oklahoma Roll -The Junkyard Dog beat Mad Dog Vachon in 21:55 with Thump October 14th, 1984 Orlando, FL -Abdullah the Butcher (w/Kevin Sullivan & Fallen Angel) beat Rocky "The Best Kernodle" -Duke Myers beat Dory Funk Jr 4 Corners Match: King Tonga beat Billy Travis, Scott Casey & Tommy Lane after submitting Travis to a nervehold AWA Atlantic Coast TV Championship: Mike Davis beat "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert to retain Florida Heavyweight Championship: Randy Savage (w/Miss Elizabeth) beat Mucho Macho (John Bonello) to retain. Savage celebrates post-match with Liz when while Mucho Macho rolled out of the ring, another one came out to take his place in the ring. Savage saw Macho still in the ring and went to lift him up but Mucho Macho low blows Savage! Savage drops the belt and Mucho Macho seizes the opportunity to hit a piledriver on the Florida Heavyweight title belt to Savage. Mucho Macho stands up and takes off his mask....IT'S GINO HERNANDEZ! Miss Elizabeth goes to check on Randy, concerned, while Gino blows a kiss to Liz before leaving the ring! -Jimmy Garvin (w/Precious) beat Don Kernodle Steel Cage: The House of Humperdink (The Great Kabuki & Purple Haze, w/Sir Oliver Humperdink) beat The Brisco Brothers when Purple Haze used the Golden Spike, slid in by Kevin Sullivan cageside to hit Jerry Brisco!
  22. My best guess is that Vince got impatient with Bischoff not catching up to the WWE product fast enough and put Bruce in his place. I'm assuming that Bischoff might still act as a liaison between FOX and WWE but I'm only guessing here as well.
