Man, you've brought me so many great childhood memories with the Road Warriors vs Rougeau Brothers match. They were uber-heels every time they came to the Montreal territory back in the day. I wonder if there's one match between them on my 2-disc compilation from Lutte Internationale that I have at home. And another classic between Magnum TA and Bob Backlund. Looks like we might also get Magnum vs Yoshiaki Yatsu down the road!

Dory Funk Jr on the Amarillo schedule - help needed

I'd have to check about Montreal's travel schedule. Pat Laprade and/or Bertrand Hébert are the best suited to answer your question, given they're historians of the Montreal area. -
WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
SirEdger replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
With Velasquez, it's gonna come down to if WWE will ask him to work the way he did in AAA in his 2 previous matches or if they gonna ask him to work more of the classic MMA style. And that's what I'm afraid it's gonna happen with Velasquez in WWE. I hope they let him show his athleticism but I'm not getting my hopes up. -
I'd recommend watching Janela's match vs Kris Statlander from an episode of Beyond Wrestling's Uncharted Territory (it's either on June 17 or 24, don't recall the precise date) if you still doubt that Joey can't deliver urgency or sense of danger. It's probably my favorite match in 2019 so far, along with Brody King vs Jungle Boy from PWG last January.

Only 3 things can survive a nuclear catastrophe: Twinkies, cockroaches and Impact Wrestling.

Oh, yes it did.

That's something that can't be stressed enough. I had this discussion on Twitter with someone about how AEW should panic because they lost 1/3 of their initial viewership but I told him that because they were doing so good in the 18-49 demo, they shouldn't worry. His answer was: "They have to draw casuals and they should aim 13 to 65." Still trying to figure out how some people don't understand that AEW isn't primarily aiming for the casuals. Yet, they feel like AEW's survival depends on them.
-
There are still haters that'll say that it's all doom and gloom for AEW because they dropped under 1 million, despite the fact that they've gained viewers in 18-49's demo.

Exactly, You need to let stuff breath and play out. I know that nowadays, the IWC is accused to get everything too fast too soon but WWE isn't helping by being so consistent in making the same mistakes over and over again.

What a star-studded main event for Superstars! Certainly worth the price of admission!

I think Kendo Nagasaki is a great fit to be a Larry Z goon. I feel like he's gonna give him a major title in no time. He's exactly the type of muscle I always envisioned for Larry Z.

Looking back at that Brandi Rhodes segment attacking Jamie Hayter backstage, I couldn't stop thinking about the Evil Monkey in Family Guy. She had the exact same expression in her face. As for Jamie Hayter, that was my first time seeing her and I think she got serious potential. I believe she's working with Stardom and RevPro as well so she's gonna improve with leaps and bounds in no time.

Hurry up because apparently, the patch comes up on Monday - same time that the Bump in the Night DLC is released.
-
And we'll never hear the end of Larry Z beating Hogan!
-
That thud was terrifying;

Orton's work is so more slow-paced and in in an old-school kind of way that I can understand why many people feel unattracted to him. However, we can't deny the massive reaction he gets everytime he even teases the RKO so if he ever showed up on an episode of Dynamite (or one of AEW's PPVs), this would go down as their #1 moment in the promotion's history for a very long time. That's what someone like Randy Orton can do for a promotion.
-
I wonder if this could mean the death of Ring of Honor if this plan is well-executed. I mean, you gotta think they're gonna go after guys like Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll to spearhead this US implementation.

WWE TV 10/14 - 10/20 Randy Orton is the Tom Brady of WWE
SirEdger replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Maybe it's because of all the buzz around Moxley since his WWE departure and how different he's been booked since he joined AEW. But I kinda understand Austin's praise about it, considering that Mox right now has a lot of similarities with Stone Cold at his peak in terms of attitude and mentality. -

That was word for word an old promo that Vince McMahon delivered like 10 years ago. -
Halloween Star Wars is definitely shaping up to be a loaded card. Really excited about the Chamber of Horrors Cage Match. Allowing Brody, Dr. D and John Studd to enter a cage with a weapon...what could go wrong?
-
When The Masked Superstar thought he had everything figured out, Andre shows up! Ricky & Robert able to regroup quickly to regain their National Tag team titles in barnburners. Very nice!

I don't know about that. They might be playing on the fact that Daniels is the veteran of SCU (he's what, about the same age as Jericho?) thus, attacking him and having him stretchered out is still a cowardly move. Some could have the perception that Lucha Bros feel their best shot to beat SCU in the finals - if it comes to that - is to beat the Kazarian/Sky combo.
