ROH has only sold 398 tickets for Final Battle. Their biggest show of the year. It's in 3 weeks.

Jericho using French in promos isn't a novelty thing. I remember attending a WWE house show in Quebec City in 2002 and he was telling us "Fermez la bouche!" (Shut up!) to start his promo. It was pretty funny in hindsight and I love that Jericho keeps using this right now. It's now become so weird here in Quebec now that the separatist movement has lost a lot of its luster to see that now, that save movement is picking up in Alberta....because of Quebec.

I had 7 of those old rubber figures (LJN I believe was making them back then): Hogan, Orndorff, Andre, Jesse Ventura, Piper, George Steele and Big John Studd -
I still think Shayna Baszler is winning the 3-Way Women's match. NXT absolutely needs a major win on Sunday and this could be the most significant.

Interesting dynamic though; NXT needed everything RAW & SD could offer to finally get that first win over AEW. Conversely, RAW & SD has done a bit better with ratings since the NXT invasion angle started. What's gonna happen when everything returns to normal on Monday? Sure, we can say that NXT has gained many eyeballs during the past month but can they stay the course? If I'm AEW, I'm not even sweating this.

I'm probably the only one here on PWO that loves what they've been doing with The Dark Order in the past 2 weeks and I don't care. From the very beginning, we've wanted to have a purpose as to who they are and their end goal is. Now, in the past 2 weeks, we have a pretty good idea of what they're all about. ...So, where's the form for me to fill so I can join?

Magnum solidly settling as the top face in WWF at the moment. What a great match against Stan Stasiak.

Hold on a second...a Jimmy Garvin interview? Was he under WWF contract in 1992?

I can't help but making the analogy about Jim Cornette with Don Cherry here in Canada. Don Cherry got fired by Sportsnet last week for comments that were deemed offensive by the network during his Coach's Corner segment. And from what I gathered on his podcast, Cherry said that what the network demanded in terms of requirement for him to keep his job wasn't sitting well for him. I feel like Cherry did this on purpose to find a way out of this and do whatever he wanted going forward. I don't see Cornette being that different from Cherry in the sense that he rarely apologizes for anything, if ever, and I wouldn't even be shocked to learn that Cornette knew what he was doing and was expecting to resign/get fired. All Cornette truly needs is his Cult of followers that will defend through hell and high water for him to be happy.

You're my new favorite person here, congrats!

I'm legit stunned that Becky Lynch hasn't chimed in on this yet.
-
Yeah, I think so too. Perhaps for Drew, it was because he had just signed back with WWE so that didn't pan out as they wanted. I don't know about Eli Drake about that time but Nick Aldis turned out to be a pretty good choice.
-
Oh shit, this one will be fun!

I think it's amplified by the fact that WWE has been at his lowest point creatively in the past 25 years, despite the fact they have the most stacked and potentially talented in the history of the promotion. And because of how bad it has been and how Vince won't seemingly do anything to change course, the impression is that anything remotely exciting in the MNF game will massively exceed anything WWE will put together for RAW. At least, that's my point of view. This wasn't an impression we had during the Monday Night Wars when there were 2 promotions putting a show on Monday nights with football having a bigger chance to eat away at their viewership.
-
About that speculation, Triple H himself is against it and I don't blame him. What a shitty message you're sending to your viewers that NXT needs Papa H to make them relevant.

I don't even think I'm sure it was Bram/Latimer that she was talking about. I think it was somebody else. As far as I know, Bram and Charlotte split on good terms but I could be wrong.

Ooh, I like your scenario here and it actually makes sense with Tim Storm's character. I could see Storm watching everything unfold with Kamille turning on Aldis in an attempt to help Drake win the title and then, Storm becomes the equalizer and Aldis actually retains over Drake. Given that Storm is the epitomy of the old school white-meat babyface, it'd be logical to have him stay in that role

I understand what you mean here and while I agree that most of Cornette's rants are for more imagery than anything (ex: the Omega stuff), there are some lines that are dangerous to cross. I mean, making paedo jokes in regards to Justin Roberts - especially knowing the role he played with Connor Michalek and what subsequently happened with Connor's Cure -, there are just some things that he just needs to be more careful about.
-
I'll probably flip between RAW and the MNF game, considering I have fantasy football considerations in this week's game.
-
That's very plausible. Seems to be headed in that direction.

Probably some castration jokes. I mean, we're now there to pop Vince. "HAHAHAHA, GODDAMN PAL, THIS IS SUCH GOOD SHIT!"

Probably. That's the kind of stuff that only Vince can laugh hysterically at from the gorilla position while everyone is looking for a hole to hide in. Fairly evident now that WWE creative is only looking to save their jobs by pleasing Vince rather than deliver a quality product.
-
Heyman's first weeks had somewhat some potential but then, he fell right back into the pattern of popping Vince with cuckhold angles and here we are back to square one.

In the process, it also makes Xia Li look like a total badass, which is even better.
