That would be dumb as fuck for WWE to literally ban a platform that brought more than 2 million subscribers to a channel under the WWE umbrella, quite frankly. I wouldn't even be surprised to read that Vince came to that decision upon hearing that AJ Styles talked about his positive COVID test on his Mixer account. Considering how pissed they were when Renee Paquette/Young announced her diagnosis on Twitter, just imagine Vince learning about what AJ did.

To my knowledge, UpUpDownDown is being promoted under the WWE umbrella on YouTube so I don't think that he should be worried about it. Personally, it's infuriating to think that Vince is once again taking away opportunities for talents to reach out and connect with fans outside of the company just because he doesn't make money off of it. Honestly, I hope that talents band together and indeed tell Vince to go fuck himself over this.

This edict from Vince will spectacularly backfire on him, I can feel it. You can't seriously sit there and tell me that Vince is actually truly believing that he believes that he owns the name of Joe Anoa'i as well as Roman Reigns'. That's being next-level egotistical. Also, it's clearly obvious that Vince's "the brand is bigger than the talent" strategy doesn't work at all. He's terrified at the idea of losing another big star to Hollywood and it shows.

To be fair, AoP never got going because of badly timed injuries. I thought they were fitting really good as Seth Rollins' muscle in the early stages of the Monday Night Messiah gimmick. Bold prediction: I think AoP will end up with Major League Wrestling. I don't know why, just got that feeling.

Hey, no problem, man. No hard feelings whatsoever! Like I said, I haven't scratched the concept at all and will be bringing it back later

Who knows how even bigger an asset he could've been for women's wrestling than he already was if he had been in better health.

Sidenote: the reason it took so long to post that show is because with the Open Borders concept, I had been waiting for other writers to volunteer some guys to fill in the slots that I had mentioned in the previous press release. I waited longer than I should've but I wanted to wait as long as possible, in case that some slots would get filled in. But didn't get anything so I scrapped that and went with a re-tooled card. Might revisit the concept down the road, if the occasions presents itself.

"Bons" and "Méchants" are still referred to as such for the casual audience, even here in Quebec to this day. But this is the first time I'm hearing "stylistes". Must be typically European.

Yeah, he's shooting Stephen Amell's new series "Heels".

CAN-AM PRO LIVE August 11th, London Gardens, London, ON Attendance: 3939 Opening up the show, Can-Am Pro commissioner "Bullet" Bob Armstrong comes to the ring. Tonight was supposed to be the first Open Borders event for the promotion but Armstrong announces that unfortunately, no promoter or wrestler had offered to participate in the event so it is being postponed to an undetermined date. There's a bit of shuffling on the card that is being made because of this; what was supposed to be a 4-Way Elimination Tag Match will now be a straight up tag match for the Can-Am Pro Tag Team Championship between Mohammed Yone & Mike Awesome and the team of Terry Funk & Masato Tanaka. Hayabusa who was supposed to be in that 4-way tag is being moved to the main event slot as he'll team with Stan "The Lariat" Hansen in the main event against the team of "The Prospect" Donovan Morgan and Axl Rotten. And finally, Dixie will still face an opponent to be determined a bit later in the show. -"The Franchise" Shane Douglas (w/Francine) beat Perro Aguayo Jr (w/Ted Dibiase) in 15:44 with the Belly-to-Belly Suplex -In an open challenge, Mike Barton defeated Dixie in 7:37. Erik Watts made his way to the ring during the match with his valet, Simply Luscious, but only observed from afar. -Hardcore Holly beat Mikey Whipwreck in 8:45 Can-Am Pro Tag Team Championship: Mohammed Yone & Mike Awesome beat Terry Funk & Masato Tanaka in 22:48 to retain after a Super Awesome Bomb from Awesome to Tanaka -Marty Jannetty (w/Ted Dibiase) beat Carl Ouellet in 10:48 -Stan "The Lariat" Hansen & Hayabusa beat "The Prospect" Donovan Morgan & Axl Rotten in 9:03 after a Lariat from Hansen to Morgan

Same here. He had spoken on Twitter about having health problems but I certainly didn't expect to read this. This is so unfair. You're not supposed to die at 26. Women's wrestling lost a huge supporter.

Oh man, what could've been if they could've pulled that off.

I somehow feel something fishy about Jericho's attitude.

Just love the creativity all around with your promotion. I don't think Kojima will take this loss lying down. The chase should be pretty interesting!

To me, it's fairly obvious that the main reason AEW grabbed JR was to get credibility from the start, showing that they were "serious". Yet, I haven't felt a iota of what JR could bring as an announcer to a match since the promotion started. It's always been Tony Schiavone & Excalibur that have accomplished that. I wouldn't mind keeping JR for sitdown interviews and video package analysis to build a feud but I honestly don't have the feeling that his heart is fully into this. Does it have to do with the tragic death of his wife Jan a few years back? Maybe, probably....hell, Gorilla Monsoon wasn't the same either after when his son Joey Marella died in that car accident in the mid-90s. I don't know what is Excalibur's status currently with AEW but if he's scheduled to come back, maybe keep strictly Tony & Excalibur, with alternating between Taz and guest commentators on random occasions if they really want to stick to the 3-men booth.

Loved the interaction between Tajiri and Super Crazy. I bet this won't be the last of them working together and against each other! Huge win for Dick Togo as well!

Although one could argue that once they got signed by WWE, they probably might've been told "Forget what you learned on the indies, this is how we do things here" and taught to re-think everything they were doing on the indies. If you have tons of experience like Balor, Owens & Sami had on the indies, that's something that you can navigate throughout and come out pretty good. I don't know how long Bayley & Sasha worked the indies until getting signed by WWE but it might've been a bit more difficult for them.

Looks like we haven't heard the last of the Hacker, after all. Are you thinking what I'm thinking, gentlemen?
-
Oh yeah, it's definitely a tactic to discourage fans from buying All Out next weekend. WWE did this as early as their first Survivor Series event in 87 as they scheduled it very close from Starrcade 87, if I remember correctly. Personally, I believe they're wasting their time because the core AEW fans won't be watching Payback anyway tonight.

You don't see it right now, but I'm giving you a standing ovation for that!
-
Wow. Certainly didn't expect Tully to throw the towel for Brock here. I know he's still young but Brock cannot be pleased with that outcome!
-
Would be worse if it was "Quel chien sale, ce Roman!" (What a dirty bastard that Roman is!)

See, on the contrary, I was glad to see the Impact Players getting the titles. They were pretty hot around that timeframe IRL so it makes sense to me to see them as the top tag teamin any promotion. With that said, I agree though that Kurt Angle might have his word cut out for him. But I wouldn't expect it any other way for him.

I think you could have an interesting midcard team with Glacier & Shawn Stasiak, depending on how you play your cards. Meanwhile, I could take Kronik and Rikishi/Haku beating the tar out of each other every night, thank you!
-
Maybe they'll have The Fiend/Bray being more of a tweener than a babyface. And besides, with the Draft coming up, some big names will change brands and even things out.
