A tag team of Kawada & Akiyama is scary enough but then, you pull out Hashimoto & Hase as their opponents and I know I wouldn,t want to get in the ring with either of those teams.
  2. PRESS CONFERENCES RULE!
  3. To my knowledge, Larry Z had the same type of role Stiva is giving him with TNA around 2004.
  4. You might want to readjust your dates though. We're starting in August 2000, using our current calendar (a bit complex to research everything to fit exactly like it was in 2000) so make sure to avoid any confusion with the rest of our events
  5. Dude, you got your identity established right away with that slogan as well as the press release with Larry Zbyszko. He is a great fit in terms of authority figure. Glory Days should shape up to be a great event!
  6. There's a reason why I specifically advised everyone to go at their own pace with the posting. That's because there are people who are doing it for the first time or simply don't want to feel the pressure of absolutely posting something every day or every week. I felt like if there would be no pressure to do so, that would entice more people to join in. Seems to be working so far! Like Chacins said, we're always available to chat with if you need advice or have any questions. I've been doing fantasy booking for about 20 years now so I've seen my share of fantasy leagues in my lifetime. My first official advice to you; it's OK to try some stuff and fail. You might not find the format you're more comfortable with at first. You'll eventually find your groove; some prefer long and detailed writeups (Den Scorpio on Dawn of War is an absolute master at that, having written with him on the old tOa board where I started) and others will focus on short highlighted formats; some will use hybrids - that's all up to you. At the end of the day, you'll eventually putting your own imprint on that promotion and it will be all worth it
  7. I don't think you could've found a better hype man for your promotion than Dave Prazak. Anyone could win that GTW title tournament an I can't wait to find out who it will be!
  8. Some would say that this is truly where the magic began for The American Dream. They would also say that this is where Kevin Sullivan perfected his satanic cult worshipper character that eventually lead him to be The Taskmaster. Either way, their rivalry in Championship Wrestling from Florida set that territory ablaze and gave fans in the area great memories. This is the thread to discuss everything Dusty Rhodes vs Kevin Sullivan!

Absolutely digging your logo, man. Wish I had the skills to create one for Can-Am Pro myself. Shamrock vs Funaki in the premiere show should be a great fight.
  10. Just imagining Vince McMahon under a disguise and it's the most hilarious shit ever.
  11. Certainly tells the whole story when Vince spends more time on a tweet for his son-in-law than his own son.
  12. Actually, it's a bit of a derived expression. "Ciseaux à la volée" is more used for flying head scissors, not the 'rana. At least, here in Quebec; we still use "hurricanrana".
  13. BREAKING: "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONG APPOINTED COMMISSIONER OF CAN-AM PRO WRESTLING + UPCOMING EVENTS It's been an eventful couple of days in the offices of Can-Am Pro Wrestling. After securing syndicated TV deals both in Canada and in the United States, CAPW is proud to announce the nomination of the legendary "Bullet" Bob Armstrong as law and order's representative within the promotion. And the Bullet has been hard at work to make things happen right away as we can now announce our first dates. Can-Am Pro will make its debut on Saturday, August 1st live from the Multiplex in Warrensville Heights, OH and for the occasion, Bullet Bob has announced that there will be a one night 8-team tournament to be contested under Lethal Lottery Rules! The entrants aren't known yet but there will be 4 qualifiers during the night with the winners facing each other in a 4-Way Elimination Tag Team Dance to crown the first Can-Am Tag Team Championship Armstrong also confirmed that the first TV tapings will take place the next night, August 2nd, at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, ON. During the tapings, CAPW will crown its first Can-Am TV Champion in a 5-Way Elimination Match. 4 of the 5 have already been appointed: "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido, Genichiro Tenryu, Joey Matthews and "The Bad Man from Borger, TX", "The Lariat" Stan Hansen! Whoever the final entrant is, he better be ready because it won't be easy! So, come join us next week for the beginning of a new adventure!
  14. I got chills. CHILLS, I TELL YOU!
  15. I wouldn't even be the least surprised if that "future employer" is WWE. That would totally be a Vince move. I remember clearly Vince saying in the AWA DVD that he "always encouraged talents to finish their dates with other promoters". So, that'd be fairly in line with Vince trying to have Tessa project a better image going into her next gig.
  16. Interesting. I had always thought that Norvell Austin was considered an original member of the Midnight Express with Condrey & Rose, not Stan Lane.
  17. If they don't use that tournament to include experienced girls like LuFisto and Cheerleader Melissa, for instance, then, there's no hope for that women's division
  18. I don't know about Cheerleader Melissa (here's someone who should have a bigger spotlight - so should LuFisto, but that's my Quebec bias speaking here) but I believe Marty The Moth is more focused on an acting career. At least, last time I checked. He worked a few indies since the end of LU but that's pretty much it.
  19. So....we're finally getting the Cody vs Warhorse match?
  20. The North's reign is over. The Motor City Machine Guns just ended their 381-day reign and are the new Impact World Tag Team Champions. Gonna have to watch this match over the weekend. Apparently fantastic.
  21. I give it 2 months before WWE announces they signed Tessa.
  22. It seems we are a bunch of people who very much enjoy letting the fight engine do its thing with Fire Pro! Which reminds me that I haven't popped in Fire Pro Returns on my PS2 in ages and I'll incessantly feel the urge to do so again...thanks to you, guys!
  23. I think Sonny Kiss proved last week in his match with Cody that if he's given a chance, he can hang with the best of 'em. And incidentally, Arn put him over big time in that post-show interview on YouTube saying that because Cody took him lightly, he almost lost the TNT title to Sonny. The issue I had with Sonny getting the title match with Cody was that given how little exposure he had had on Dynamite since the promotion's debut, I didn't have the feeling from a viewer's standpoint that he stood a chance against Cody. But I'm glad he proved me wrong. Now, this is something that AEW absolutely needs to work on with Ivelisse because as much as people recognize that she's talented, I've seen A LOT of fans pissed at AEW for even giving her a chance on TV because of her shitty past and right now, AEW doesn't need the bad publicity. So, I just hope that Tony Khan, Cody and whoever else has been in contact with her really took some time to sit her down and straightening her out.
  24. If Vince considers Brock a special attraction, there's nothing special to attract if there aren't crowds.
  25. It's very tough for me to rate somebody higher than Bobby Eaton and Ricky Morton. To me, those guys are untouchables. I'd agree with @southofheavy about Cesaro being particularly good at doing the basics and the little things that adds to a match. I'd bet that there's a trainer job waiting Cesaro once his active days in the ring are over. But to answer the question, if we look at the current crop of the past 10-15 years, Cesaro is definitely one of the best tag workers. If you can gel with so many guys (Tyson Kidd, Chris Hero, Sheamus, Shinsuke), that says something about you.
