  1. Well, Big Money Okato becoming champ after beating Ospreay for the belt just to feud with a returning Omega seems like the perfect route to take, assuming all pieces fall into place.
  2. Lil Sting Jr. has a great look, but Big Sting Jr. seems to be a student of the game.
  3. I really didn't expect to see what I saw. Orton is 100% correct here.

While I don't think it's a top tier match in a vacuum, it absolutely deserves a huge highlight and a firm place in history. It's honestly the best retirement match I can think of (well, Terry Funk's first retirment is still a retirement), and the fact he even managed to get that match in his own terms, staying in good enough shape throughout almost 40 years of bumps and wear and tear, is a feather in his cap.
  5. The GOAT
  6. Don't worry, the Dark Order will be there to save the day
  7. Wasn't Omega's last run hampered by his body being super worn out? Dude was already all fucked up before diverticulitis struck.
  8. Balor hurt his shoulder, in that case. IIRC he rotated his torso and ended up jamming his arm onto the barricade. Sting's injury was related to whiplash? I don't even know HOW he got hurt, because it all looked pretty safe and standard. She hit a second rope leg drop which looked nasty, but was actually pretty safe. I was shocked.
  9. This is weird. If Sammy didn't know Jeff was injured, maybe suspending him is a bit harsh. If he did know... maybe a suspension is not enough? I dunno.
  10. Yeah, Revolution was one of those feel-good AEW shows that was common when they started. It all revolves around Sting, man. I think the show wouldn't be such a massove hit - obviously good, the card was stacked - if they didn't have such a historic match in it. The vibe is different when it's the last match for someone who has been doing it for almost FORTY years. Sting is so damn cool. Will miss him dearly.
  11. I know it sounds and IS weird, but her match with Becky was actually really good. It helps when she's not hurting people carelessly. Now, she is just good. Improved a lot, but is still very unlikeable outside her heel persona, so there is that.
  12. Jesus breaking the Devil's ankles with a SICK cross up will never not be funny. And hey, I guess after Macho Man stopped the Rapture, they could be a pretty neat tag team.
  13. Michael Cole calling the match while wearing Sarah Logan's antlers is a fun moment.
  14. Nia Jax is legit good now. Never saw that one coming.
  15. It's wild that Rollins almost killed Sting nearly 10 years ago with a relative safe move, yet Stinger ended up doing way crazier stuff without a problem.
  16. This is wholesome. Sting, at least as far as I know, is one of the very few people in this business who no one says a bad word about.

I'd argue him being associated with the MEM and not going full heel helped the angle a lot. It's long-term coherence! I guess so. Funk was considered a dinosaur by '96, and he would only turn 60 in 2004. Tenryu, who had a similarly lengthy career, was ultra knackered in his twilight. Negro Casas might still take the top spot.
  18. AND he's going to Mount Everest later this March. Dude's retiring by his own volition in like, 5 years, but he sure made the most out of it

The man's career is over, the Stinger has retired. How highly does he rate on a list like this in 2026? He was always over, always popular, and had surprising versatility (despite never going full blown heel in the MEM) in his roles. His AEW run was very, very, very good, to the point were every single match of his was a highlight on usually stacked cards.
  20. Also, it's good that Darby wasn't around when CZW had its moments. Dude is out there on PPV doing swantons on a glass sheet outside the ring (and he got fucked up because of that). I just cannot believe shit like that.
  21. Yeah, Low-Ki not being booked is essentially his own fault. Not that he would try shit with Joe because he may be stupid, but he ain't dumb.
  22. Bro what the FUCK
  23. Claudio is a big, big dude, but him coming out to the Road Warriors' shoulder pads just puts in perspective how fucking JACKED Hawk and Animal were.
  24. An ideal world have Rude/Vader/Muta/Luger/Angle being involved, maybe putting their finishers on the Bucks, but as it stands, having Sting beat the piss out of them after two FIP segments would be more than enough.
