That's one way of looking at it - and basically one way of looking at every single highly praised match from 20 years ago, really.

This has the potential of being the Magnum/Tully of this generation, people. Let's cherish the possibility of an I Quit match
  3. People have Cesaro on their lists, but no Sheamus? To me, when I think about the absolute best worker of this decade, the one I think about is Sheamus. There's simply no one in WWE that has the same volume of great matches as he does, really.
  4. I'd say Jack Brisco looks handsome. YES! Sonya is amazing! I might be one of her biggest fans, and legit her growth as a wrestler is impressive. Shame they threw her to Ronda with no fanfare.
  5. He's not working spots around his hog, can't take him seriously
  6. My take on that is one's perception of attractiveness goes beyond physical appearance, and depending on how one sees another, a good looking person might end up being average to the eye of the beholder, and vice-versa. While all you say is indeed true, my perception of Finn being really bland "downgrades" his overall attractiveness, you know. Contrast that with my first post in this thread: Ric Flair wasn't exactly beautiful, but he carried himself like really no one else did, and that surely counts for his attractiveness - and I think that also applied to people like HBK and CM Punk. Likewise, Bryan being this wholesome person makes him stand out more amongst others. I see the appeal. While I don't think either is particularly good looking, them coming into the Fed being long-haired pretty boys with distinct syle and charisma sure made people take notice. Jeff taking his shirt off to reveal a slim physique always worked (and kinda still does) to make people scream with joy.
  7. You are absolutely right. JVK mentioned Ted, and I agree. Might also have the nicest sounding voice in pro-wrestling history, too. Magnum TA in his prime was quite a looker - not so sure how the 'stache stands out in a more modern setting. Also, no one mentioned Ibushi yet? I agree that Tana is this weird, fabulous mix of handsomeness with gorgeous hair, but Ibushi is also himself really cute. But to me, the best looking guy in professional wrestling today is Dr. Wagner Jr. Just breathtaking.
  8. BIG CASS IS AMAZING
  9. AJ Styles vs Nakamura is now No DQ. Nice.
  10. I cannot believe two straight men are arguing about this, but here goes... Orton and McIntyre? You're not serious, are you? Reigns I can kinda see. But my comment about Finn has nothing to do with his body - the man has a handsome/cute face. Nothing wrong with that my dude, sometimes it works for a good laugh. I mean, at least it isn't horrible like people making twitter accounts for female wrestlers' buttocks. But hey, McIntyre is a good looking man. Tall with a very good physique, and was able to pull the pretty-boy look in his first run and the rugged manly man look in his current one. Orton was also a stud circa 2007. The fact that he carried himself like the best thing on the planet helped him get some fans, and that surely counts for something in terms of attractiveness. Finn Balor I can see people saying he's cute and all, but it's just that he's so... bland. He is a very nice guy (of the legit kind I hope) and his interactions with Bayley surely did a lot to get him lots of fans, but in terms of looks I just don't see his charm.
  11. Ric Flair did have some rockstar charm to him, with his long hair and blue eyes. It kinda works and makes sense. It's not like he's Robert Gibson or anything. People find Balor crazy good looking, but besides the ridiculously ripped body he's just average.
  12. Fedor is the GOAT heavyweight, brothers. He's what Rusev wishes he was in terms of stardom. Knocking out Mir moments after punking him with a gorgeous throw, and now he's facing The Miz Chael Sonnen. He's the best.
  13. He's actually average looking, when you look past the incredibly ripped body. In terms of having a good looking face, Orton, McIntyre and Reigns smoke him out of the water, for instance. But back to the main point: yeah, looks are important for the fans and for management. People convinced themselves that Ohno got released from NXT because he was fat, when he really trimmed down at the time of his release. Wrestlers like Trish, Sable, and I would argue even Jeff Hardy got massive pushes because of that sort of connection, too - it's more obvious with the former two, but Jeff enciting screams of joy everytime he took off his shirt is indeed a factor. Hell, even at the last IIconics promo they were looking at themselves in the titantron, saying how hot they were, and you could hear some fans say "yeah you are!", so indeed, their attractiveness plays a part. At the same time, there is this situation where some fans almost "kink-shame" others out of spite. Fans who hate Roman, for instance, usually point out how only women cheer for him, because they find him handsome and *want* him, and therefore aren't as big as fans as they are. Bottom line, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong in thinking a certain wrestler is good looking. Some wrestlers do get pushes because they look good, and can be marketable because of that (HBK posing for Playgirl, for instance). That's just the nature of the business after all.

Rewatch NXT circa 2012-14. They had Emma, Bayley (who I think was a heel at that time), Sasha, Charlotte, Becky doing irish dancing... They were just "a bunch of people". Look at them now. It takes time to build this sort of connection, my dude. Talent-wise, it looks as good as ever. Belair clearly has top tier potential and Shayna is already insanely good. I wouldn't worry much.
  15. For a three hour show, it surely did not have a lot of good stuff in it
  16. Riot/Banks was of course good despite Sasha having some horrible offense at times. The rest of the show, though... not good.
  17. hahahahaha yes braun/lashley/roman is the elite fuck y'all
  18. NO IDEA WHAT'S HAPPENING BUT ZAYN IS SHARING THE RING WITH TWO OF THE ALL TIME GREATS JINDER AND ROMAN THIS IS GOOD
  19. I doubt WWE makes that sort of move if USA-KSA relations weren't as good as they are, and to me the company doing that show is just a consequence of a much bigger issue. Not that I don't understand people getting actually mad at the GRR or the forthcoming GSS, but I see it much more of a consequence of bigger issues than it being the issue itself.
  20. Well, this was a complete waste of time. If you thought Okada being locked 40 minutes in a leglock and still winning after doind his usual offense was bad, you'll hate this even more, as Naito's comebacks were even less earned and his overall performance was lazy and downright bad. If you thought that match against Okada was good, you'll also dislike this because Naito fucked every single hope spot up. It was boring, sloppy, he appears to break MiSu's nose with a slap and almost every single spot he does is too slow, too soft or misses completely. Just shit.
  21. Heard some pretty harsh critiques about that main event match, saying it was actually one of the worst ones out there due to it being absurdly boring and due to Naito being asbymal in his performance. It's almost as Okada's record-breaking title reign isn't that interesting and Naito winning was the wisest move.
  22. Two things I've been wondering about: Who the fuck is making those theme songs? Most of them sound exactly alike and they sound like shit. It's like everyone got a worse version of Steve Blackman's theme. Does Tucker Knight being featured in the Rumble mean that they se a bright future in him? I hope that also means they see something in Otis.
  23. http://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/vince-mcmahons-reaction-to-titus-oneils-epic-botch-at-the-greatest-royal-rumble Like I saw on twitter, Titus is going to slide all the way to the bank with this one.
  24. Finn just addressed the absence of the rainbow gear https://twitter.com/FinnBalor/status/990090953426845696
  25. This was so, so much better than the Wrestlemania match and still had some big flaws. The moves actually MEANT something here, even though that they did resort to finishers right out the gate - 4 German Suplexes and 1 F-5, to be precise. Brock bumping for the Superman Punch was indeed good, and so was Heyman actually interfering in the match when Reigns seemed to have things done. The steel chair beatdown was also cool, and for the first time in this whole feud, Roman FINALLY looked like a contender. It's a shame they made that nearly meaningless. However, things like Roman being the first one trying to escape is some baffling booking. It's not really hard to book him as the guy who would keep things in the ring and would not escape until way later into the match. The cherry on the top was the finish, though. While this whole event felt like a house-show, which meant it was going to be inconsequential, this one match was the one that actually mattered, according to the build WWE made after Wrestlemania. And then... it didn't matter. It was a fuck finish that one would expect in a house show, indeed, but it did not have to be. Roman fails yet again even though his feet touched the floor first. He's done at the moment. Overall, an actually good house show match hurt by its own build. Maybe we were expecting a more "legit" treatment, and were therefore setting our expectations too high. Maybe they did build it as legit and failed to book it as such.
