I think Shibata had a torn rotator cuff up until he was forced to retire.
-
Trust me, I'm expecting him versus EVIL to suck haha. I wasn't even super high on the last Tana match. The chop match with Tenzan was better IMO.
-
I'm still not sold on O-Khan's gimmick, but I thought he did fairly well. Nothing mind-blowing and I wouldn't give him a title, but he acquitted himself well. Cobb looks like he's in the best shape of his life and it's evident in his match performances. Ibushi-Desperado was really good, as was Ibushi-Naito a few days ago. It seems like a lot of wrestlers are kayfabe shitting on the unified title. Ibushi heel turn coming? While I don't think Okada's 2020 was as bad as most say, per Dave in the Observer he's working through 2 slipped discs (hence the back tape). That probably explains why he's taken it easy in certain matches.

Yeah this is what I meant, sorry for the confusion. I have a browser switch add-on that I can watch it with Opera, but still ridiculous.

The fact that it still won't work on a Chrome book is insane. Even WWE fixed that one.

FWIW, Kevin Eck said on one of Wade Keller's podcasts that during the Cena-Ziggler feud that Cena wasn't impressed by Ziggler's ability to call a match and relayed that to Vince. That may be why Dolph never got a sustained push.

I don't quite understand the love Tanahashi-O-Khan has been getting. It was a fine enough match but not much better if at all than their largely average WK match. O-Khan has a cool move or two but is still pretty dang mediocre. Honestly, the Tenzan match was better.

Mutoh and Jun already won titles, why not Kojima?

Was surprised (albeit pleasantly) about some of these results.

The grand and pathetic journey of the Undertaker at WrestleMania

This match isnt quite as good as I remembered, but it's still really good and a feather in both guys' caps at that point in their careers.- 206 replies

Oh yeah I'd say he's regressed big time. He wasn't always the most consistent guy but you could count on him to pull out the occasional banger. Outside of the Hiromu match which was a pretty monumental carry job, he's never gotten back to that level.
-
I only caught Okada-EVIL which was pretty good but not must-see. It was a step-up from their NJ Cup final but never reached the levels of their previous G1 or title matches. Also caught KENTA-Moxley which was very good. Best KENTA match in a while.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Boss Rock replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
Awesome! -
Wouldn't say he was the most unselfish, but I wonder if Hashimoto warrants consideration. It took him years to win a G1, he was the last pushed of the musketeers, and he put Ogawa over twice even after the Wrestling World fiasco. Interestingly enough, he reportedly didn't fight back even after the match went off the rails because he wanted to keep some semblance of professionalism, which he sure as hell didn't have to do.

The grand and pathetic journey of the Undertaker at WrestleMania
Boss Rock replied to El-P's topic in Pro Wrestling
The way they took the title off Taker was such bullshit. Vickie stripped him off the championship saying that the Hell's Gate submission was "banned". They had a count-out finish at the following ppv before Edge won it again in a TLC match leading to Taker being "fired". Why waste two months instead of going right to the TLC match?- 206 replies

I think that was the first time they ever did that in a Taker feud. Another aside, I recall that at Mania 20 Taker had a bit of a hard time rolling his eyes back into his head.- 206 replies

Somewhat of a side note, the build for Taker-Diesel had the awesome wax replica in a casket bit. He figures Taker's inside and wisely grabs a hammer, only to find the replica. Diesel's reaction is perfect. Doesn't comically overreact in fear, he just slams the lid shut and walks away. Not trembling in fear but seriously disturbed in a "Nuh-uh, I'm outta here!" way.- 206 replies

Austin Aries: The Adventures of an Arrogant Asshole

His "no mask" rule at this meet-and-greet is dumb as shit. Anti-vaxxer and anti-mask, he is truly the worst. -
Moxley was on WOL.

I think he's just been pulled from two shows so far.

I am super stoked for an exploding barbed wire match. Certainly not a gimmick I would have expected at all, but I love it.
