  1. No worries, I appreciate the info!
  2. Shingo just should've won. There was already a story there with him beating Ibushi in the G1. Layup.
  3. I was always under the impression that was like a year recovery, but good to know.
  4. I've pretty much had a series of rough drafts since I saw the results of the last vote. It's really fun to see how your own list develops over time.
  5. YOH is coming back at Sakura Genesis. Not a doctor, but coming back 10 months removed from an ACL injury seems pretty miraculous.
  6. Tenryu should go in. The man beat Savage in the dome!
  7. Finlay-Ospreay was great. This whole tournament has been a really good showcase for him. Really happy he finally got a win over Jay after all these years. Main event tomorrow should be excellent. Pulling for Shingo as there's already history with him beating Ibushi in the G1. Not that I expect him to the win the title, but him winning the tournament would be an awesome show of confidence after how well he's done the past 2 years.
  8. Speaking of athletic big dudes, Keith Lee has to be near the top of the list.
  9. I remember really liking this in the moment as it was the ultimate "dog catches a car and has no idea what to do with it". Cena had been angling for this match for months and now that he finally got it, he realized "Oh shit, I didn't prepare for this at all". But in hindsight, yeah this sucked. Not only was Taker coming back extremely dumb, but it was such a disservice to Cena. He deserved a hell of a lot better than this.
  10. Rey Fenix is unreal. Like early Rey.
  11. That image of Roman standing tall with fireworks going off in the night sky was pretty badass.
  12. I liked it a lot, but A.J. is one of the greatest of all-time.
  13. Yeah I remember that was a pretty big factor for ticket sales. And seeing the bump live (I attended that year) was pretty awesome even though the match as a whole was lame. That lockbox story was dumb as hell though.
  14. GWE is what first introduced me to the board and encouraged me to expand my horizons in wrestling. I would be more than happy to help with "In the case for" and "In the case against" stuff.
  15. It's interesting, Bray supposedly twisted his ankle shortly before the show and had he been unable to wrestle, they would've had Sheamus replace him who was set to make his return the following night.
  16. I think Onita had a schedule conflict.
  17. I wouldn't say it was a "bad" ending, but the finish to Valentine-Piper at Starrcade '83 always felt just a tad anti-climactic. Rather than a big punch or move like a piledriver, Piper tosses Valentine off the top rope and sorta wraps the chain around him. Same with the Dump-Nagayo '86 hair vs. hair match. Fluky pin with a 2.9 kick-out.
  18. Lame ending aside, I really enjoyed this show. Shida-Mizunami and the ME were the best matches of the night, the ladder match was solid if too long, the street fight was a lot of fun, and Page-Hardy gave us the power of friendship.
  19. Lame fake explosion aside, that was a great match.
  20. https://twitter.com/FLWrestlingFan/status/1368785442053754881
  21. I actually wasn't as high on those other two matches today. But I caught up on Taichi-Goto and that was quite good.
  22. Shingo-Okada was great although not quite on the level of their G1 match. Shingo was a monster on offense and Okada sold everything spectacularly. A bit too many Money Clips but all in all easily the best match of the tournament thus far.
  23. I remember watching Mania 28 and biting it on the Sweet Chin Music-Pedigree combo. Legit thought that was it. I re-watched it recently and it's certainly an over-bloated "epic" with way too much "drama". But it wasn't terrible.
  24. Yanking one's tights up as high as possible always befuddled me. Never understood why Misawa kept doing it.
