  1. And you would know all about incels wouldn't you?
  2. Better than their Cup match, but whatever improvements ZSJ has made seem incremental: he's better at selling than he used to be, but it's still not good. He shows in this match that he can actually focus on one limb, but his limb work ends up feeling mostly "light" because he still insists on cycling through holds just to cycle through them and none of them feel particularly devastating because of this. I don't blame Ibushi at all for blowing off the limb selling if ZSJ isn't going to make it matter on his end. This was still entertaining though despite its faults.
  3. lol I guess I come from an infinitely less sensitive part of the internet.
  4. Usually prefer grittier grappling, but this was just so silky smooth without feeling over-choreographed that I would have been perfectly happy if the entire match had simply been them working this lucha-shoot style matwork. Alas it is not to be, BUT the state-of-the-art junior wrestling they replace that excellent opening with is just as good. Interestingly I see direction connections with this match and the matches Bryan Danielson and Low Ki would have together a few years down the line. Highly recommended for fans of those particular matches. Thanks, jetlag, for reviewing this by the way. Otherwise I wouldn't have watched it let alone even knew it existed.
  5. I usually get bored to tears watching the 'wrestler A struggles for a very long time in wrestler B's hold' spot, but I thought this match was a masterclass of doing that spot correctly: Tanahashi constantly selling and trying to escape and Suzuki constantly re-adjusting, re-applying or moving on to a new submission to stop Tanahashi from escaping.
  6. Hogan's possible return is already working the soy boys into a shoot.
  7. I wonder if 'getting violently kicked in the head while in the prone position' will become Nomura's eventual kryptonite. Anyways yes this was really good. Nomura continues to look like the best wrestler of his generation/age group while Kamitani seems to have improved from the last time I saw him (he's either added a bit more muscle to his frame or burned off some baby fat and his offense seems stiffer and more impactful). Nakajima's kicks still continue to impress me and I'm also digging this new(ish?) look and attitude of his. And Kitamiya was perfectly fine as the other meathead in the match.
  8. Here's something unique: Regal vs. Robby Brookside in a 60 minute match at the WCW Power Plant in 1993 with DDP as ref.
  9. Only on-going comics I'm currently reading are Michel Fiffe's Copra and his Bloodstrike: Brutalists from Image. So many of the comics coming out today are pure garbage to me, but I've been a huge Copra mark for a while now and Bloodstrike: Brutalists is basically Copra 2.0, but with Rob Liefeld created characters.
  10. This was beautiful and I feel completely secure in my sexuality saying that about two men in their underwear grabbing and rubbing against each other for 15 minutes. I wish today's modern 'grapplefuck' wrestlers would take direct inspiration from matches like this.
  11. Hey I agree. I was ready to move on from this silliness (I even apologized), but I'm not gonna sit on my hands and not reply to goobers who insist on shitposting to me.
  12. lol why are so many of you so sensitive on here? I really don't get it. I make a few innocuous comments about 'soy' wrestling fans and here we are nearly 24 hours later and the butthurt is still palpable. You gotta let it go, child. You'll be much happier.
  13. Damn, son. Did you walk in on Darkthrone tag-teaming your mom or something? Why are you this upset over a genre of music of all things?
  14. Not all of us like Taylor Swift and Lil Pump, you salty vajayjay.
