Team TNA (Sting & Samoa Joe & James Storm & Magnus & Eric Young) vs. Aces and Eights (Devon & Doc & Knox & Mr. Anderson & Garret Bischoff) in a Lethal Lockdown Match - This sucked live. No blood. Little violence until Sting brought the garbage. Really boring until the big ending. I thought Aces and Eights were going to win so at least they booked the finish right.
-
*Kurt Angle vs. Wes Brisco - inoffensive cage match with some good spots until the finish nobody wanted to see.
-
If there is any noise during this match itis because there is a Macho Man look alike getting the crowd riled up... Until this LetsGo Angle chant started.
-
*Bobby Roode & Austin Aries vs. Kazarian & Christopher Daniels vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez for the Tag Titles - Really strong match live due to Chavo being insanely over live. The crowd went nuts for the Ten Amigos. I have never seen Hernandez get such a huge reaction when he made the hot tag. Nobody botched anything and they kept me interested through out. Thumbs up live.
-
*Robbie E vs. Robbie T - Bad idea doing a small guy vs. big guy comedy match after the Park match. That match got over with the live crowd. This one didn't. Crowd shit on it and popped when it w over.
-
*Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim for the Knockout’s Title - This might be the best woman's match I have seen live which isn't saying much because I have seen nothing but shitty women's matches. No obviously botched spots live and some nasty spots that kept the crowd awake.
-
*Joseph Park vs. Joey Ryan - A nothing match revolving around Ryan's slimy character and Parks rookie gimmick. Live, this match was over and the people reacted to both guys.
-
*Kenny King vs. Christian York vs. Zema Ion for the X Division Title - Fun match live but zero selling or psychology. Holy shit, I thought Kenny King was dead when he failed to get a full rotation on his dive outside.
-
I honestly have no idea who either of the Robbie's are.

I'll be posting results during the show and feel free to leave comments here while the show is going on. Kind of bummed the entire show isn't in a cage but fuck it... free tickets!!! Here is the line-up for the card... *Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray in a Steel Cage Match for the TNA Title *Team TNA (Sting & Samoa Joe & James Storm & Magnus & Eric Young) vs. Aces and Eights (Devon & Doc & Knox & Mr. Anderson & Garret Bischoff) in a Lethal Lockdown Match *Kurt Angle vs. Wes Brisco *Bobby Roode & Austin Aries vs. Kazarian & Christopher Daniels vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez for the Tag Titles *Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim for the Knockout’s Title *Kenny King vs. Christian York vs. Zema Ion for the X Division Title *Joseph Park vs. Joey Ryan *Robbie E vs. Robbie T

Point me to any factor other than the "oil crisis" that you cite as causing his promotion to be put on the verge of BK. In the very first post that follow, Loss pointed to "product". Which you wouldn't buy, and won't let go of the oil factor. Come on Jerry... don't pull a Watts and rewrite the history of this thread. We actually can go back and read what happened a day ago, as opposed to Watts being able to pull the wool over your eyes on something that happened nearly 30 years ago. Christ... Gonna defend Jerry here. Look further down. He actually makes a post where he compiles the 4 reasons that people have come up with. Three are wrestling figures (Watts, Taylor, Dibiase) who blame it on outside forces or off-screen forces. Interestingly enough, the 4th reason from a fan perspective (Loss, jdw) was that the product was to blame. I think Jerry was hoping that you, KrisZ or Dylan (or some data compiler) would be able to find some figures to refute the wrestlers claims, not that he was endorsing any of the positions.

I can only speak for one town but the UWF was on TV every Saturday morning from 1986-1987. They ran a house show in San Antonio in January of 1987. 300 people showed up. This was headlined by Ted vs. OMG and a Freebirds Six Man. Terry Taylor was there because I got his autograph. ALso, jdw, my uncle lives in Odessa and when I talked to him last, he said the oil town is booming. The big crisis in Odessa is putting 200,000 people in a city built for 100,000 so all of the oil workers are living in hotels pushing up the price of the shit bag hotels they have in Odessa.

I don't think people would change the channels for Brother Love. Most of the time, it isn't about the host but about the guest who appears on the show. The Miz may be an exception.

I got tickets for Lockdown this weekend so I went to the TNA website to see what matches were on the card. I don't have high hopes for the PPV except for the Bully Ray match because it is Bully Ray but the B4B video on this page was a pretty strong sell for the show... http://www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/4...ng-Sunday-s-PPV -
I feel like this topic has already been done somewhere but a couple of recent threads have inspired me to make this topic. In the "Acknowledging the Past" thread, it was brought up the Von Erichs could have had a decent run in the WWF. This brings me to dream match up #1... Kevin & Kerry Von Erich vs. British Bulldogs. - I think this would be a match-up that would be more spectacle than good match. I can imagine Dynamite and Kevin stiffing the hell out of each other. Kerry and Davey out juicing each other. Depending on what side of the bed the guys woke up on, it could be a good match too. After watching some AWA discs, my two favorite one-off teams have been ... Sgt. Slaughter & Crusher Blackwell vs. Larry Zbyzsko & Butch Reed

To be fair, the entire premise of the show was the Time Warp.

IS that Randy Couture between Mark & HHH? -
As a workrate match, I can definitely get behind Sheamus/Henry. We'll see tonight if they show anything going that direction.
