  5. I love the Google ads at the bottom of the page Also, I knew there would be a Matt Hardy article before clicking the link.
  6. I was reading through the thread and Lawler was the first namee I saw missing from the Savage list. In fact, he would be my #1 Savage opponent even though Savage is not my #1 Lawler opponent.

  8. Watched this the other night prepping for the upcoming Schneider comp and I was happy with the way the match developed and ended. Another exhibit in the Regal was fucking awesome files. Here are Schneider's thoughts from Segunda Caida...
  9. What's your point?
  10. I think a lengthy jail sentence would suffice.
  11. Bix... stop making message board posts on Matt Hardy and write the book already!!!
  12. I don't tthink the complaint is a bad path to go towards getting the ban overturned but I thought this was great.... How many times have we heard that as wrestling fans?
  13. First off, thanks for the recommendations. They get considered and we try to put on as much as we can. Second, thanks for all the joshi recommendations because I know fuck all about joshi and it is currently my least favorite wrestling. Third, I would love to hear from the people who have bought the yearbooks because ultimately you guys are the ones I am trying to please after Loss and myself are satisfied with the list. I now want to address a complaint smkelly had about not getting the shock treatment of a new thread with the final listings. That won't change. I don't want thirty people "tweaking" the list. Sometimes shit gets left off, and I apologize for that, but if we ever leave off somethig so historic, so great and so mind-numbingly obvious that it puts the whole idea of the project in doubt then we may change the process. This is a huge undertaking and the complaints are usually geared around what got left off. That has been the case with nearly every single set I have ever released in 6 years. However, Loss has given you guys a forum to talk about the 120 hours of stuff that IS on each set and a forum to add stuff for a possible Yearbook Addendum. I think that is enough.
  14. He drew about 300 here in San Antonio over the summer in an abandoned rodeo field south of town. He sold out of merchandise at the show so i think he made a nice little chunk of American change.
  15. Cody Save sent me a DVD with an Iron Man match.
  16. Lawler was a face the entire decade of the 1980s. After that, I have no idea. I know he was at least a face from 1992-1996 in Memphis. Didn't he turn heel at the end of 1989? Are we counting just Memphis? He was a heel in Texas in the late 80's and in Florida I think? As for the 90s in Memphis, he turned in the summer of 1996 and turned back babyface when the Nation of Domination showed up. Then he was a heel at the start of Power Pro wrestling till Randy Hales turned into Vince mcmahon and Lawler turned into mini Austin in 1998. Yeah, he turned heel in 1989 and it is featured on the Memphis set. Still from 1980 -89, that is a pretty long face run. As a heel in other territories, that doesn't bother me at all and I can't count that against him. Watch the AWESOME WWF vs. Memphis feud and his playing both roles at the same time depending on the federation is a work of art.

  18. Buddy Rose vs. Matt Borne (2/3 falls) (Lumberjack Match) (6/12/82) - Rose is complaining early on about having to wrestle on television when he thought it would be an arena match. As a lumbrjack math, there are about 4 guys out there to serve as "guards". There is confusion about the match as the ring announcer said it was No Disqualification but the announcer said regular rules apply. Who knows but they start out wild enough as Borne is pounding away on Rose. Rose ends up busting Borne open and working on the cut. Later on, Rose grabs a chair and nails Rose with it to bust him open. Seriously, the first fall might be enough of a nomination on its own. Borne punches Rose in the head and gets the pin after a flurry of punches. Rose was laid out and did not leave the ring after the fall. The 2nd fall continues in the same vein as the 1st until Rose gives Borne a low-blow to turn the tide. The ref claims it was to the stomach but to drive the point home, Buddy gets Borne in a wheelbarrow position and kicks him right in the crotch. He then does some running knee lifts, connecting with more "close calls" on each knee lift. Shit, this match is brutal. And after Rose appears to have the upper hand, Borne lands a low blow of his own. Borne goes for the punches again but gets flipped over in a sunset flip position and pinned. Borne wastes no time in the 3rd fall and goes o town on the cut including a SWEET double knee lift to the head. I don't know where he got it from but Buddy has a chain wrapped around his hand and knocks Borne the fuck out for the pin. OK, nevermind because Borne revives about ten seconds later. Borne's post-match interview sets up a chain match between the two. I think I remember seeing it listed on Walburton's Portland list so maybe that is something we can pursue. Anyway, this matchis a SLAM DUNK!!! --------------------
  19. First off, I disagree with the very idea of this thread... too much wrestling? There is never too much wrestling.
  20. If Angle and Benoit are in for work alone (and there is no other argument for either) then guys like Buddy and Murdoch should be locks. It will play out on the Portland set and AWA set that Buddy is one of the best in ring performers ever. Sometimes, that should be enough.
  21. At Vengeance, it was $60
