I am currently working on a MOTYC compilation. Since alot of people have not seen most of the matches listed, I am trying to compile as many of the nominated matches as possible without it being cost prohibitive. With that said, there was already agreement earlier in the year that the MOTY should actually include the entire year and not go by the standard set forth by the Observer and RSPW awards where matches in December do not count. I am going to do another poll shortly to see if I should continue with this project and if thier is enough interest to even bother distributing the discs.

Of the three, I lean to ROH because of their emphasis on matches and I enjoy watching most of the guys on their roster. Plus, in the last year, they have delivered Jushin Liger, Kobashi, Bobby Heenan, Mick Foley, Ricky Steamboat, and Jim Cornette... all personal favorites. If you look at my list for 2005 MOTYCs (none of which I personally selected), ROH has been putting on the hits so to speak. I have enjoyed the TNA TV but not the TNA wrestling if that makes sense. With WWE, except for the Eddie tributes, I do not watch WWE television or their PPVs. I wait until they are released and either trade for them or have EJ make me Best of comps. WWE has lost me as a paying customer for their current product (DVD releases are a different story though ). With Eddie gone and with little direction for Rey, I have no real interest in the direction of the company. I may never watch again... unless of couse I see that Mysterio push we have all been debating ad nauseum.

WCW can have that effect on you.. .esp. when his crowning moment was being introduced by Chris Jericho in the Cruiser Battle Royal as the winner of the Lou Ferrigno look-alike contest.

OK brother, you can't leave us hanging like this. You HAVE to elaborate so I have something to go on. Maybe a detailed synopsis on each guy? Lord knows there is little quality lucha info out there.

Considering it has been just a little over a week that he has been dead, I think that is enough.

Do you know if it is messes up only on the Bret HArt set or both Bret and Mania? If it is not messed up on Mania, then I can easily transfer that version to the Hart Foundation comp I am putting together.

I took advantage of the DeepDiscountDVD sale and picked up this and the Mania set for $140. Unfortunately, everyone else has one and I am still waiting for it in the mail.

You know, if they instituted a mandatory time-off period where a guy has to disappear for a week every three months, I don't know how much easier it would be on the wrestlers, but I have a feeling if you staggered your roster, everyone could regroup and the show can still go on without missing a beat. It would be esp. easy to do during months where the other brand is featuring a PPV.

I'll believe it when I see it and when some guys suddenly slim down.

Submissions usually finish at least half the lucha matches I watch.

That's why you have the vignettes. You train them to accept the fact he added to his game... that it was the missing element from being world champion.
