  1. Neville vs. Bo Dallas Triple Threat: Nikki Bella© vs. Paige vs. Naomi (Divas Championship) John Cena vs. Kevin Owens Elimination Chamber: The New Day© vs. Lucha Dragons vs.Tyson Kidd & Cesaro vs.Prime Time Players vs. The Ascension vs. Los Matadores (Tag Team Championship) Elimination Chamber: Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus vs. Ryback vs. R Truth vs. King Barrett vs. Rusev (Intercontinental Championship) Seth Rollins© vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE World Heavyweight Championship) - If they let Seth retain (which they will), I see no reason why they will let Cena lose. If Cena loses before the world title match, then maybe they go Ambrose but the way I see this thing shaking out, lots of heels going over. I picked Cesaro/Kidd but I really see New Day retaining. In other words, I see an outcome where the wrestling is great but the booking will feel predictable and lame.
  2. Isn't it supposed to be F, Marry, Kill? Murder and Kill don't have a lot difference to them to make em separate categories. Well yeah. Also, I am a cheap fuck. The more fuck, marry, kills we answer, the more likely I am to have to pay for a month of JR;s Network bill. I don't want to pay for it and I am already one ahead.
  3. Man... with WNN and their horrible policy of refunds combined with a storm a coming here in South Texss, I had to pass on this show.
  4. Retraction... he said "Nice. Very nice lady." Too bad.
  5. Watching back in 1986, it felt like Flair's year. It is by far, the year I remember most about Flair's main event run. However, a couple of things hurt Flair as #1. After the bash, his run with Dick Murdoch doesn't make tape but we can only imagine it was awesome. Then, when NIkita turned face, they had a lame match at Starrcade.
  6. After Mania, he made the rounds with Hogan and I don't remember any of their 1987 matches. After that, he had a long run against Honkytonk Man with lots of matches against Hercules and Harley Race. I don't remember any of these. It's one of the reasons I didn't include Savage or Steamboat even though they started the year hot.
  7. I have no nostalgia love for Quake. However, work rate wise, he held his own in All Japan in 1989.
  8. The problem with kayfabe is that we even know it exists and are talking about it on a message board.
  9. Eventually, this microscope forum will be littered with polls. Better to start now so they are staggered instead of posting them all at once as the deadline nears. Right now, I am doing polls with guys from similar roots. I may branch out to the matchups like Loss has in his thread but some of those aren't so much who is better in their genre but what genre I enjoy more and I fully acknowledge that.
  10. Agreed... plus Dean is a guy I have enjoyed more on rewatch as I enter into old age.

  12. They will kick you out of Canada for that. Blasphemy.
  13. Miz is low hanging fruit. Bobby Riggs would have voted for Charlotte.
  14. Just curious... are there reports or incidents of riots / crowds going out of control for theatre or opera performances? Not concerts but clear theatrical performances that whipped up so much emotion that the crowds could not contain themselves.
  15. Joe is working a TV taping. That doesn't mean he can't work a dark match in between episodes or at the end of the show and do autograph signings.
  16. Jerry Lawler – Lawler has great matches across the territories with feuds against Curt Hennig and Kerry Von Erich as well as great matches against Tommy Rich & Dutch Mantel. Kerry Von Erich – Kerry pops back on the list thanks to the feud with Lawler spanning 3 territories but also for helping Texas to emerge as a place where quality wrestling takes place… with one foot. (I feel like I should mention Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts for helping to reignite Texas and kicking off their awesome feud) Genichiro Tenryu Jumbo Tsuruta Stan Hansen (Kawada and Footloose pop up as Tenryu’s little buddies. This era of Kawada’s career is one of the reasons I place Kawada over Misawa) - All Japan is a broken record at this point. Guys like Hara and Yatsu are part of some awesome tags but no strong singles matches to hang their hat on. Footloose pops up. Takano & Nakano appear and suddenly All Japan has another strong cluster of tag teams to pick from . Riki Choshu Tatsumi Fujinami - Choshu and Fujinami were feuding with each other which helps but also part of other singles matches and tags. Another banner year for New Japan but not at the peaks of 1987. Keichi Yamada – The future Liger makes the list for the first time. Yamada was sensational in singles and tags. Maybe a weak Top Ten pick but definitely in the conversation. The Four Horsemen Lex Luger - Flair, Windham , Arn & Tully were the elite of this company. Does Lex Luger deserve credit for coming into his own in the main event?
  17. Barry Windham – Barry’s peak year on tape. Big feud with Flair, tag team with Garvin. Maybe 1988 was Windham’s year but this is his peak as a face. Ron Garvin – Garvin feels like he should be honorably mentioned for 1985 and 1986 against the Horsemen but 1987 has the super feud with the Midnight Express and the title reign with AWESOME cage match bookends. Ric Flair – Windham… Garvin… Broken Back Curt Hennig- Hennig comes into his own as champ with memorable TV matches and Bock’s last hurrah. Genichiro Tenryu Jumbo Tsuruta Stan Hansen Yoshiaki Yatsu - Another ho hum year for the elite All Japan guys. Yatsu was amazing as tag team partner who gets his ass kicked so he deserves recognition. The other guys had remarkable tags and singles. Akira Maeda Masa Saito Nobuhiko Takada Riki Choshu Tatsumi Fujinami Yoshiaki Fujiwara - 1987 New Japan may be the best year ever for a company. All of the above had memorable tags, multi-man and singles matches. If you picked Fujiwara, Fujinami, Choshu, Maeda or Saito as the #1 wrestler of the year, I wouldn’t argue. You may even have to include Inoki worth mentioning for the high volume of matches he was involved in. Dr. Death – This was when Doc gets pushed to the moon in the UWF and then transitions to the NWA. He wouldn’t crack the Top Ten but deserves an honorable mention. Dick Murdoch – UWF, NJ, NWA. He was putting on solid matches here and across but Dick is slowing down. He wouldn’t be Top Ten but deserves the recognition. Jerry Lawler – 1st half of the year has the strong feud against Idol and Rich. 2nd half, we are low on footage but we do have Lawler & Dundee becoming AWA tag champs. Also, it was mentioned on TV, but if there is a lost holy grail, Lawler and Bock go 60 at MSC.
  18. Garbage candidate. No chance of even being considered for the ballot.
  19. No shot.
  20. No shot. I don't think I have ever seen him wrestle a one on one classic... or even close. Maybe he had some good matches in the early 2000s.
  21. No shot even though I like some matches here and there.
  22. Great match on the All Japan set. Great match in BattlArts. Has no chance of making my Top 100.
  23. I figured you, Kris or Boricua could add the Puerto Rico candidates and make the case for them.
