  1. Closer was a great match that of course should've been the only cell match on the show. Sasha-Charlotte really made me forget all the forced TV confrontations they had to go through to build this for a few minutes but then all the shit with the stretcher still seemed to drag on too long and don't think the crowd ever bought it either and almost felt sorry for Sasha killing herself for the reactions she got. Not even from the big announce table bump. Not like the response for Seth-Owens. Doesn't really matter though because the History Was Made mantra will be repeated for as long as they stay on good terms with the company (No AJ Lee in the women's package before the match, unless I missed her), and that's what this really was about, and how it came off in the end with the finish, something the company just wanted to get out of the way.

Becky's punches when she was brawling down with Alexa looked fuckin great https://twitter.com/BulletClubItal/status/791075089211125760
  3. Ah, thanks. I didn't mean anything by it; I just thought it was strange, so I posted it. but anyway people like rovert have been using that gif and other pics of them (allegedly showing "a fresh cut" or bruises to Paige's arm) to insinuate domestic violence.
  4. So now Paige's father and brother have publicly said they're against her marrying "that man."
  5. This is first timeline since maybe Cornette's last one where the interviewee is actually stoked to go into details and looks like they're really having a great time talking about things. Only watched about an hour so far and already so many funny stories and stories about people you never hear about from the building. Really hope they do the 95 timeline with him.
  6. It was interesting seeing how much more captivating the women's title match was far as the presentation with the ring introductions and crowd support compared to the CW title match. I really don't think it's gonna work on a large scale trying to clone it off that as some kind of "support the little guys" yay sportsmanship! deal. They really should let these guys be opening half hour material and let them go crazy like a Nitro opener to at least put the audience on notice but they're probably never going to have time to book more than one match per show either. Same with the woman; you get a title match and a Nia Jax squash every week.
  7. I don't hate Zayn the way I can't stand guys like Rollins and Ziggler I just don't "get" him. Nothing I've seen from him in WWE says he's anything more than "just another guy." There are plenty of guys who manage to stand out despite shitty booking either in a "this guy is a great character" way like Rusev or by always putting on a good match like Cesaro or Sheamus. Sami Zayn doesn't do either and I feel like if he was "the best babyface in wrestling" the way some people hype him up as then there would actually be some evidence of it in the past 6 months or so instead of having to point way back to his NXT run. As far as getting sympathy off of his selling, I think he's really effective and better than Cesaro. He looked great in his match with Rollins about a month ago, with what a lot of people bought as a legit injury. As far as match quality it is spotty and, if not working against Owens, he's usually in multi-person matches on Raw or randomly in 4 min match with Jinder Mahala and now Jericho. Where are Cesaro and Sheamus's great matches this year against Stardust, Jericho, Curtis Axel, and Baron Corbin?
  8. Nash really has run out of stories anyway. At least stories he can share publicly. The Carmen Electra thing was closet to something new that he hasn't already talked out. Which is understandable, everyone has their shtick down eventually, it's just not as entertaining if you're watching them regularly. Like, the Legends thing on the network was 1/2 Nash telling stories from his last KC Timeline and 1/2 Hall repeating anecdotes verbatim from his DVD doc.
  9. May not make a difference but "monstrous" or "messy" would be closer to how I often see it used outside of the actual medical context.
  10. Honestly surprised it hasn't happened sooner the way he rolls with the dive like that.
  11. what is this match?
  12. Dana's terrible though. If it's true that her and Charlotte are the planned match down the line, I'm happy she's not fucking up even more in the meantime.
  13. Fun match with some good ideas. I didn't mind it so much but think the sloppiness lost the crowd some. Some timing issues with Bayley looking desperately for Sasha at the finish. Surprised the moonsault didn't get more of a reaction. The only part I thought looked really bad was Sasha's Jerry Springer slaps to Charlotte. She needs her "torture offense" back.
  14. although if that was the planned finish for match 7 it would've looked even better if Cesaro didn't do the neck crack bit
  15. Jesus Cesaro, that was nasty
  16. Not sure how that's consistent with pushing her as a monster heel in matches. Would make more sense when the time comes to begin teasing a face turn, but its just something they harp on during her entrance and on commentary. Doesn't seem to add a whole lot to the overall package at this stage. They are really going for a Chyna-type 9th wonder presentation where you can't put her into any one box. If nobody mentioned it, even her entrance music reflects that.
  17. Not sure what the problem with that is. It's a contrast that immediately jumps out to sell her character. The other divas in that period weren't heavyweight killers that beat the hell out their opponents

  19. amazing that stuff like the Patterson-Slaughter alley fight is not on the network but still being talked about on these shows.
  20. Thanks for giving the tough talk that was needed about not pretending to be sad about this sad thing that happened.
  21. Who is "pretending"? He could be 72 or 82 or 102. It's still sad to hear his health is deteriorating. Why don't you go somewhere or do something away from the computer where you don't have to act so hard anytime someone on the forum shows sympathy to their stupid heroes.
  22. Nash and Hall still so insecure whenever Meltzer's name comes up. I think Hall called him "some guy that never gets laid" in his YouShoot. So of course Nash's response when Oliver asks him if someone can judge wine without making it is to say "fuck him" then look into the camera and say "How's your life, buddy? It ain't better than mine."
  23. not to mention how Brock was dominating Mir on the ground, escaped an armbar attempt, and got inside the guard before Mir took his leg. Punk was simply not competitive in any way whatsoever.
  24. just getting in shape and then claiming he already won for just showing up is not really any kind of accomplishment at this level and I completely understand why an actually competitive fighter would call bullshit on that kind of "bravery... Not saying it is an accomplishment at all, Sounds like Punk thought it was though. That was really all he needed to do to convince himself he belonged there, exercise and diet regularly while retired. I'm sure he understands the business perspective just fine but at the end of the day, he's a fighter foremost. So when millionaire non-fighter CM Punk goes out and says stupid shit like winning doesn't actually matter, I understand his reaction. Lawlor's main issue was that Punk had absolutely no sports or combat experience in 37 years and how absurd it was for the Ohio commission to license him based on "a wrestling background" like Lesnar. Yeah, it's not the first time but this was still a level beyond the other novelty fights they've had and Punk way of approaching this was different, too. It's also gross that Punk created this false narrative that this was what he always wanted to do, gave up a career to pursue this dream, just so he can market himself as "UFC Fighter." Way different than James Toney.
  25. just getting in shape and then claiming he already won for just showing up is not really any kind of accomplishment at this level and I completely understand why an actually competitive fighter would call bullshit on that kind of "bravery." People can get all misty about that speech but it showed just how much he does not get it. He big-timed his way to removing "Fight in the UFC" off his bucket list so good for him. But turning down the UFC offer, actually starting from the bottom and taking the low-level beatings in order to actually learn and gain experience as a fighter, that would have been brave. But that's not what this was about at all. And like Lawler said, the way the losing speech sounded like it was so prepared showed he's not even mentally in the same space as the average fighter who is working up the card.
