Was at SDL with the wife... Had a good time. Mojo and Ryder had a dark match before the show which Mojo won. Thought the women's match dragged, but the post match stuff with Charlotte, Naomi and Becky got a huge pop. Weird there was no Nakamura or Roode, but the post show dark match was Styles, Nakamura and Roode vs. Owens, Zayn and Mahal. I'm not a huge WWE fan (plus I'm dead tired and have to head to work early in the AM), so I headed out during Tozawa vs. TJP. A lot of people hit the door once the SDL tapings were over.

Tye Dilliger will enter as #10 again as they burry the joke to the ground as per usual.

This seems like it was blast live, but it came off really bad on video. I'm a huge fan of WarGames and had high expectations of this, but this was really bad. I don't mind the minimum details such as the cage not having a roof or it only be three on three. The eliminations felt really rushed once the Match Beyond started. I also don't get them going for eliminations before the Match Beyond began and the commentators saying there couldn't be any eliminations until the Match Beyond began. I thought Quack looked really bad. His kicks looked awful and the commentator continued trying to put them over as the stiffest strikes he's ever seen. His cage dives looked really bad. Namely the first one where Jake Daniels just popped up and no sold it. I guess the earlier periods where Flash and Dino actually used the cage and got a gusher from using it were the highlights, but aside from that, there wasn't really much else to like. Very disappointing.

This was a manly match. That collar and elbow tie up is an example of what it should look like. Both guys followed by bringing the brutality and working with intensity. Those strike exchanges before the Ki Cutter and the series of lariats were great. The finish sucked, but the post match chaos added to the brutality of this, so it made up for the horrible finish. ****1/4

This is the most un-Hit Squad Hit Squad match ever. Instead of potato throwing and chest bruising, they work like they're invading 1980's territory heels and its awesome. This really showed their versatility from working and stiffing Low Ki and the other crew of Nuyoricans to working with some fat old school old men. ***

Finish my US and Japanese indy PWO2K footage. Attend all of the MLW shows. I already got tickets for the 1/11 show. Getting back into indy wrestling.

This was pretty awesome. This is entirely different to what we have usually seen Styles involved in so far. White Trash looks like he belongs in IWA-MS KOTDM tournaments or facing Lowlife Louie in JAPW for the suicidal title. Styles being able to adapt to the hardcore element and making use of the weapons properly was great. I loved how White Trash took forever to dive off the top with the stop sign and AJ blasted him with a spin kick when he finally decided to dive. I also dug how AJ messed up the baseball slide to the outside due to White Trash’s jeans, yet he had the self awareness of hitting him with a low blow to cover up for it. Plus AJ stomping White Trash with the stop sign on his face. Despite being short, this was really good. ***

The match itself was OK, but the post match chaos is what really made this for me. I thought Styles continued looking great as the heel and everyone else on the NWA Elite did well, but the NCW Crew is just sorta bland. As for the post match chaos, if you can generate that much heat in those times, then you were definitely doing something right. While I agree it had an NWO kinda feel to it, still it was great. ***
