I'm so tired of this "Attitude Era" sucked nonsense. I had so much fun watching that stuff. Even the incredibly stupid stuff was good for a laugh. As someone who was a teenager during Rock n Wrestling in 85, and someone who thought the early 90s Warrior era stuff was fucking stupid, watching Vince do this crazy ass shit that either worked, like Val Venis or was the dopiest shit ever like Beaver Cleavage, it was captivating. I loved cringing at the really dumb shit. But Attitude dumb shit was just like older dumb shit like the Mountie. And there are tons of folks who think Mountie was great.

It has nothing to do with lightening up. We're watching wrestling, by its very nature its in the light realm the majority of the time. I don't think the forklift spot worked, nor did I think it was fun or cool. It was a bad moment and a call back to an era of the WWF that was plain awful most of the time. And that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. I thought it was a fun cool spot that popped the crowd and was a blast on a show that's about "extreme rules". At least it didn't end with Bryan pinning Kane with the forklift while a camera shotshowed Kane looking up.
-
That cracked me up as well, but fuck be honest...how big did you pop when Bryan whacked the fuck out of Kane with a fucking tire iron?
-
But the forklift spot was cool and it got over in a match that was extreme rules. You're entitled to like what you like and not like what ya don't like, but it was fucking fun and made sense in this "extreme rules" world that was this card. Lighten up.

In what way outside of psychosis and the side effects of eating paint chips as a child is Cena vs Wyatt "worst" anything of the year? Especially since the year isn't even halfway done and the match was good.
-
Kris was saying during the post show podcast we did that the forklift spot was a tribute to Bryan's dad who passed away last week. As apparently his Dad worked one and that's why Bryan could as well. Besides that, it ruled anyway. People have been whining and crying about Bryan not being more like Austin . Well, there ya go. He Stone Colded the fuck outta that match while making it his.

Shield/ Evolution was chapter two in "here's the guys you love beating up HHH and the weird hate you have for him Internet" saga. At Mania it was Bryan pinning HHH and beating all of them. Tonight it was the Shield's turn to get that rub. They reunite Evolution complete with shirts and in their first match they get beat. It was awesome.

Not according to my pal who was there. This show was great. The only blah shit was the chicks match and the stupid handicap match.

Little Johnny is my new favorite .

THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!
-
Well that was the most easily predicted outcome in forever. Lol

Man that skirt is painted on. G.......rowl.
-
That was fucking fun. Cesaro's a beast. RVD looked like he killed himself with the face to the can lip.
-
HAHAHAHAHA! Heyman rules. Way to troll ECW fans.
-
I got home from a lovely production of The Sound of Music to sit down and watch two midgets kill each other. My life is wonderful.
-
Jesus this is a crazy fucking match.

Tonight's gonna be the test of my new Roku and my shitty Century Link internet.

And it gives Orton a fallback angle they can use if they want, about him never actually being beaten for the belt. Orton's there for the long haul, Batista's not.
-
True, but part of the build to Mania was playing on the whole crowd shitting on Batista in favor of Bryan and then Batista going on about how he's baffled that the crowds cheer for Bryan now and not "real men" like him. Mania was the culmination of Bryan's journey, and part of that had to be him beating the guy they "replaced" him with at the Rumble that the fans rejected. Bryan had already shown that he could beat Orton.

Wyatt isn't doing the Waylon Mercy gimmick at all. Outside of Hawaiian shirts and the hat there's nothing the same. Waylon was clearly doing a Cape Fear deal, Wyatt is a cult leader with a Messiah complex. And it's fucking awesome. Someone called it Kevin Sullivan in Florida with a budget, which is dead on.

Crowd Sourcing: Long Jerry Lawler interview
Johnny Sorrow replied to evilclown's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Did he feel that Ole Anderson was purposely sandbagging him during the six man when he teamed with Dusty and Magnum against the Horsemen? And if so, did he have words with him about it? -
All three of them exude "bad boy" sexy, but each in their own way. Like "The Outsiders". (Pony Boy, not Hall and Nash) They really are that "print money" group that appeals to guys and gals.
-
The crowd was about to crazy for HHH getting the triple powerbomb, so he most definitely has a connection with them. The IDEA that HHH was gonna get hit with that move popped them huge.

That Cena promo was good stuff. He was mainly serious, but was doing a "Ok, I was unsettled..but I've got my head together now and I'm gonna repond by being me" which includes joking around to deflect how Wyatt has gotten into his head. His character has ALWAYS been someone who uses jokes/ raps/ insults to mask any fear or nerves he has. Shit, I'm like that. I always fall back on jokes in my life when I'm upset or freaked out. And it still ended with "I'm gonna put a foot up his ass." which rules. BNB is so much fun. I love it when you can see a guy embracing his gimmick and enjoying it. And he and RVD had a fine match. The post match stuff was fun as well. The Shield promo was cool, I loved the way it was shot. Batista's suit looked like a cross between Cary Grant in "North By Northwest" and a test pattern. I love Ric Flair. And I get the idea of him saying the The Shield are the NEW faction of awesomeness...but Jesus Christ... It was like that drunk Uncle you love who stumbles up to the mic at a wedding, says some shit that has some truth mixed with babbling about old times, and then stumbles away to pass out in the coat check room. That being said, the Shield/ Evolution segment was fucking AWESOME. Hour number three sure picked up from the first two hours.
