  1. I'm looking forward to the show, looks like a blast. Complete with two chicks matches I can go outside and smoke during. I also have tickets for a house show here in Colorado on Saturday, which is still being advertised on the radio with spots that say "SEE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION DANIEL BRYAN!"
  2. Everyone needs to hear Heyman's story about that match on Jericho's latest podcast. It's fucking awesome and an amazing example of how wrestling can be the weirdest business. Basically, Fonzie had been caught up as part of the Tod Gordon led attempted talent steal to WCW. Paul had told Fonzie that the match was his send off from the company. Fonzie would lose to Beulah and then he was done with the company. But after the match since Fonzie tapped a gusher and could have "died" to put over the top valet, Paul told him that he wasn't fired anymore. And Paul says that Gonzie knew exactly what he was doing when he hit that gusher and put over Beulah, knowing that there was no way Paul could fire a guy who almost bled to death for his show cause he'd look like an asshole. Totally putting over what a wiley veteran of the business who learned it in Florida with Dusty, Eddie Graham ,and Sullivan would do.
  3. If we had watched Breaking Bad together and you had said shit like that I'd have punched you. It's true though, the way the show played with audience sympathies everyone had a run where you hated them and a run where you were rooting for them. Probably levels out so that it's all shades of grey and "tweener" by the end, but there are some blatant turns in it along the way.Right, but using wrestling terminology is awful behavior. I'm guilty of doing it now and then, and when I do I deserve to be horsewhipped.
  4. Trying to decide whether it's worth it to pull out the AWA extras disc and put that on youtube. Did it: You are a gentleman and a scholar, sir.
  5. It's Robert Gibson.
  6. Remember when PWI "demoted" the WWF title from a world title because " Backlund, ( and then Hogan), didn't defend the title against other fan favorites." LOL. It was a few years into Hogan's reign before they "reinstated world title status" to it.
  7. Larry Nelson passed away. I'll always love him for being a part of one of the funniest moments in wrestling history, the debut of the Master Blaster. Me and Wolfman were watching it on ESPN when it aired and we were laughing so hard we couldn't breathe.

I'd guess Rose has seen some face Adrian Street antics since he channels him in ring. And the guy has been in the business for a long time.
  10. Tito was an awesome number two/ IC level good guy during Hogans first two years as Champ.
  11. Do not listen to this man. He is deranged and possibly dangerous.
  12. Strongbow was always serious, despite your hatred of Italians and Native Americans Parv.
  13. Fuck everybody, I love watching Invader spew as the Raging Bull kicks ass.
  14. And we have to figure out how to do a Memphis show without me just screaming on and on about why everything is the best.
  15. The best is Will going on about how much he hates Russo, and then explaining how much he loved the Val Venis/ Goldust angle which was a culmination of the Russoiest Russos that ever Russoed. And he's right that it was good TV, I suspect the McMahon filter was on?
  16. Piper played racist all the time back then. He got an ass kicking from retired Bruno for calling him a wop.
  17. Invader drank a mix of pigs blood and vodka before the match, according to legend. They were doing a work based on Manny trying to avenge Brody. Again, according to legend. It most definitely not a shoot injury. And it was totally nessecery cause it was PR.
  18. Randy Orton is really fucking good, some of you people must be on dope.
  19. The new one with Drew McIntyre is fantastic. Jericho had a really great connection with Drew and they have a killer interview that sounds very natural. Drew comes off as the coolest motherfucker. I think it's his best one yet.
  20. It really can't be said enough how AMAZING and huge Piper's Pit was when he first came to the WWF. Speaking as a guy who grew up watching the WWF, I remember being blown away by this guy who was a burst of evil energy and insanity on the Saturday morning shows that tended to be kinda boring.
