  1. Adam Rose has been on TV for two weeks, period. I'd give a guy a bit more time before screaming "Flop" at him. Just stop having Cole dance and say how cool he is, cause THAT'S the kiss of death. And Rusev is being booked properly. He's been working his way up the roster. And I think Bo can get his deal over because it's based on getting booed. As long as he can get the crowd to boo him, his gimmick is golden. It doesn't matter why they're booing, either. Just so long as people boo and shit on him then he's good.
  2. It's REALLY hard to be a ref who is part of the show doing all kinds of his own "ref spots " and reactions without looking like a total douche. Like Hanson in ROH and JAPW back in the day. But Hildebrand pulled it off incredibly.
  3. Nikita should have won the belt at Starrcade.
  4. Am I supposed to feel bad for someone making 30 grand a year now? I know it's not being rich , but it's not exactly being poor.
  5. That's an interesting thing to look at. If scalpers grab em, then whoever pays scalper fees must REALLY want to be at ringside, so it's either people with money or people who are not paying the gas bill that month to get wrestling tix. But comps for people who don't really care and the like is something interesting. That explains how you hear a crowd going nuts but see a bunch of apathetic folks on camera.
  6. This doesn't address the question that Loss posed... how do they attract a better demo to increase ad revenue? Stop being Pro Wrestling? It's odd because this "demo" isn't exactly exclusively watching NOVA, PBS , and "smart " TV. College educated wealthy people watch a ton of shitty stupid TV. I think that people with money do watch. Those ringside seats aren't cheap.
  7. I just think that wrestling is something that needs to grab you as a kid or teen. That's a big reason why Attitude era and NWO WCW were so big. A generation that got hooked as kids got to come back to a "grown up" version.
  8. I have no idea what you're referencing, man. Haha, did I say something like that and forget it?
  9. I really doubt that anyone, despite their education or financial status, is going to decide to start watching Pro Wrestling as an adult because it ditches crazy shit and becomes more like a real sport.
  10. Dude, Ive been hearing that since the Seventies. I'll believe it when I see it.
  11. By the way, I'll make dinner for any of you people if you find yourself in Colorado.
  12. If only there was a positive spin style podcaster out there who is completely comfortable on the air...

I don't see why people should be wringing their hands about Roman Reigns eventual singles career . It doesn't exist and yet folks are all concerned about it. Seriously, it doesn't exist. Why be all obsessed with something that hasn't happened to the point of letting it effect your watching of him in the Shield now? Speculation is inevitable, of course, but it's become ridiculous. Just enjoy watching the Shield become ultra white hot babyfaces who constantly get over on Evolution.

God Damn, The Shield is the best act in wrestling.
  15. I watch most of each show, besides recaps and ads, cause it's a TV Show. I want to know what's going on at all levels,
  16. Why would any fan resent any guy's deal? It's not like it cost you a chance.
  17. So I've had the network since the first week, but haven't used it that much as our internet speed with Century Link stunk. Constant pauses and buffering. Extreme Rules streamed well but the pic quality suffered. Well we just hooked up Xfinity internet with 50mps and right now I'm watching Spring Stampede on my Roku and new Hi def TV and it looks amazing, the picture is so crisp and the stream is flawless. And in the house right now I'm streaming this, the teenager is streaming a movie in his room, the little kids are watching Netflix, and three people are online with their phones. Life is good. So I've never actually seen this show, believe it or not. Regal/ Pillman is a fucking great match.
  18. The Outlaws first got over huge, as heels, because they were something new and different. These two low mid card guys who had been saddled with the WORST gimmicks get put together as a team, and go with a total anti-authority gimmick that was new at the time. AND, they have them beat the fucking Road Warriors for the belts. People loved booing them, but a lot of people dug them because they were fresh and new, and fit the era so well. I was a fan because I'm a heel fan, and I LOVED seeing two guys who'd been fucked with dopey gimmicks become a team that goes to the top with the attitude of two guys rebelling against the establishment, with smart ass, loud mouth personas.
  19. I was a huge fan of Benoit and Malenko back then and even I was yelling at the TV for that shit to end.
  20. The greatest urban legends in wrestling are people exaggerating how long he did the stalling bit in a match they saw. I love his stalling cause it's a heel trick to get heat that even the "smartest " of fans get all upset about, Proving he was such a great wrestler that he can get heat from the fun real fans AND the "smart " types .

Since it's probably about 10 percent of the audience who are aware of the story, I'd imagine the outcome will be nothing.
  22. Why is it so wacky and wrong for a heel to play to the fans who like him? Flair used to acknowledge the guys in suits who loved the Horsemen who were at the TBS tapings. What's the difference ? Bill Laimbeer and the Pistons would acknowledge the fans who liked them.
  23. Road Warriors vs Demolition was definitely considered a Dream Match, but the feud stunk as it was clear that Demo was pretty much done and WWF booked it with the angle, "LOD is here to fuck up these guys who've been imitating us", which was always in the back of the minds of most fans. Front of the mind for me.
  24. A front site that has a clear section for "What to listen too" re: the podcasts is great for getting all the shows more exposure.
