  1. You ever meet someone who REALLY hates wrestling? I don't mean the whole, "Ah that shit is stupid and fake" types but the guys who act as if it's existence is an affront to them on a visceral level? I knew a guy back in Jersey like that. He was the lead bartender at our local neighborhood bar and if wrestling came up, he just start railing and frothing about it. Had something to do with him having been a star wrestler in school and Pro Wrestling just offended him on a level that seemed crazy.
  2. The old Philadelphia Civic Center was an amazing old dump to see wrestling in the Eighties.

Yeah, he's been ending promos with it now for a few weeks.

Did everyone ignore the promo Cena did where he talked about how the crowd wants new guys? Cause it was pretty cool yet goofy in that awesome Cena way.
  5. I'm gonna wait out initial problems and upgrade my net speed, but first stuff I check out is gonna be the first gen Coliseum tapes.
  6. Good Pro Wrestling makes money. Bad Pro Wrestling loses money. To be brutally honest, that's all there is to it, despite ourselves.
  7. There's always a narrative. Sometimes it's just "Stop looking for shit that ain't here, it's just a gig".
  8. I could go for a goodhelmet right about now, actually.
  9. The best part of these shows is that they're so much fun to do. We have a fucking blast doing them. It's a rare thing to stumble on a group of four guys who mesh this well. Well, there was another group but they kicked out Ole like we kicked out Brick.
  10. Y'know, being a great worker has nothing to do with moves or mat work or "scientific" wrestling.
  11. Ex strip club DJ actually.
  12. Bagwell also pissed off WWF management because his Mom would call JR or whoever to bitch about stuff. And I guess he had an attitude problem that resulted in Helms whacking him in the head with a frozen bottle of water. I don't remember the exact details.
  13. I loved Austin saying who all the top guys are and it was Cena, HHH, Orton, Daniel Bryan, and Punk if he comes back.

  15. I hate to brag, no wait...I don't . We crush it this show.
  16. I guess this wasn't a thing until at least 95, no? Fatu & Godfather in the front. Savio, Godwin, Taker and ??? in the back It's Yoko, isn't it?

What I liked about it was Christian saying, basically "yeah I ain't pretty but I'm a two time World Champ," while sporting a shiner. He came off more bad ass than he ever has before.

It's just JBL, and let's be honest. Christian ain't young Elvis.
  19. Well, it'd be a short fall.

Yeah, what a fantastic fucking match.

Ok, Steph saying that Kane has received a very strongly worded letter of reprimand in his personnel employee file as punishment for his actions had me laughing.
  23. Wasn't it more that people online assumed that's what Vince would have said and now it's being attributed to him as if he actually said that?

And I was just sucked into the match and didn't even notice. And if I had, I would have just thought "Orton's leg hurt him real bad, but he's now getting past it cause rasslers are almost superhuman because of superior adreneline". Oh and I don't have a "duckies and bunnies outlook". I just choose to talk about what I like and generally not talk about what I don't like. Sharing enthusiasm is a positive feeling and sharing negative feelings just gives them more strength. If WWE does something I don't like, it's gonna have to be something big to me to get me to comment and bitch about it online, cause that's just energy wasted in negativity perpetuating something I disliked. I also always watch every PPV on a big screen, surrounded by friends, beer, weed, family, and pizza. The fun and community trumps "bad booking."

Eh, guys no selling to advance a match is as old as wrestling itself. It's normal. I always just think "he pushed through the pain" or whatever. "These guys are so tough, they can shake shit off" and that kind of shit. It works as long as it's not over the top ridiculous.
