  1. The only thing I didn't like about the show was actually in the lead up last week. They could have at least plugged the US title match and the Rey/ Cara vs PTP match. It would have sold the card as more packed than what they did. It's a stupid quibble, but I hate it when they don't list the whole card beforehand. I still bought it, loved it, and loved Punk winning via total heel "last resort" cheating. I read Punk laid up on top of the cage until almost everyone in the Arena had left, and that's groovy as fuck. Now, as far as "Why didn't the ref just quick count Ryback immediately if he was on the take?" Of course that's the realistic thought. But, come on. In wrestling it's always been "The heel at least wants to try and win before pulling out the last resort cheap cheating deal." Why didn't Tommy Rich immediately come out from under the ring to help Idol beat Lawler? Because Idol wanted to at least try to win on his own." It doesn't really make sense, but it's wrestling world logic. Why did Big Show wait until Vince had been brutalized by Austin at Valentine's Day Massacre to come up from under the ring? Cause Vince wanted to at least try and beat Austin. Same deal tonight re: the ref. And the Tag Title match ending in DQ is just the start of a feud/ series. Works for me.
  2. Thanks for the link, man. That was fucking awesome. Seriously, if anyone hasn't seen this do so ASAP. It's outstanding.
  3. I loved it because 1. It surprised me as I didn't notice who the ref was until it happened. 2. It deflated me briefly. I was marking out as I was thinking Ryback was gonna win, and then Punk and Heyman pull out the last trick they had up their sleeves. And I booed cause for a minute I hated Punk and Heyman. Then I thought about it and laughed, as there's nothing I like better uopn reflection, than a heel chicken shitting his way to a cheap win. I'm always of two minds, lol.
  4. I LOVED Show/ Sheamus so much. And the whole show was a lot of fun. I gotta say, I loved the finish to the HITC. It took a nutshot from the ref (who is no longer under AJ's protection after fucking over Punk a few weeks ago), a rollup with said ref holding down The Ryback's legs and THEN do a fast count, to "beat" Ryback. I can't wait for Punk's sleazy "I BEAT RYBACK!" promo. It's gonna totally turn him full sleazy chickenshit heel. It was obviously a case of Punk and Heyman wanting to at least try to beat Ryback, since Punk is an egomaniac about his skills. The bought ref was told to do what he did if Ryback had Punk beaten and in the hold leading to the shellshock.
  5. It was fun as hell to watch stoned to be honest. And there was the whole "I can't fucking believe this" feeling for those of us who had grown up watching WWF from late Backlund on.
  6. I don't claim to be an expert, but this doesn't look like a guy who's "obviously" on steroids to me. I have friends in better shape than that who I can say with all confidence are not on steroids. On egg whites, maybe.
  7. Check this shit out. WWE.com has a bit up with video clips that led up to The Last Battle Of Atlanta, calling it the inspiration for HITC. http://www.wwe.com/videos/playlists/last-b...tlanta-playlist
  8. I gotta add Hogan vs. Iron Sheik MSG where Hogan wins the belt. It NEVER doesn't make me mark out. If I was trapped on a desert island with the tech to watch only wrestling matches, I'd need that match to lift my spirits up every so often.
  9. So whatever the scenario, how long before someone books him against someone who just legit kicks the shit out of him? And it'll most likely be some dude who looks like a joke but is a legit bad ass.
  10. The wackiest thing is, doesn't this douchebag realize that these stories will make the rounds and eventually no one will book him? And is he so dumb that he thinks this promotion won't just do a "Champ refuses to defend so he's stripped" angle and just move on?
  11. Some fun from the last show on the Youtube "A highlight from last week's WHATAMANOOVER! w. Bryan Miller and Johnny Sorrow, Bobby Eaton is no Dean Ambrose"
  12. I have a hard time making lists like this, but Magnum/ Tully "I Quit" is by far my #1 match of all time, followed by Lawler/ Dundee Loser Leaves Town 6/83.

  16. He's really versatile, a true method guy. Many times I thought I knew him, but I didn't.
  17. As far as cheating, ref bumps, etc go...if it ends with a 1-2-3 then that's a "clean" finish to me generally. The best example of a lousy finish for a big match that comes to mind for me is Flair/ Nikita at Starrcade 86. The Main Event of the show, even though one could argue that Warriors/ MXE was, and it ends in a double dq shmoz. It was a real let down, after an awesome show.
  18. Yeah, that's getting isolated as a drop.
  19. Vince was only competitive after Punk had beat him up, turned his back on him and then was pushed from behind into the post. Then Vince tossed the dazed Punk over the table and dove onto him flailing like a maniac. THEN he gave Punk a balls shot with a chair and tossed him into the ring. It's not as if Vince was going toe to toe with Punk, and even when Vince briefly got an advantage in the cane shots bit, Punk fooled him into coming at him so he could ball shot Vince and then laugh.
  20. Last Night's WHATAMANOOVER, "GLASS BOTTOM BOAT" is uploaded and ready for listening or download now at http://www.tnt-radio.net/wam-archive/ "Bryan is away enjoying everyone’s favourite wrestling show (Smackdown, baby, Smackdown.) live and in person, so Johnny brings on Stuttsy to step in and in an amazing coinky-dink, promote his upcoming iPPV for the CWF Rumble on October 20th 2012. 23. As someone who grew up listening to Monsoon, none of my pals and I ever noticed or cared about his "shoulda hooked the leg" stuff. We'd just laugh at him saying guys were literally on the shelf for a few months or fans were literally hanging from the rafters.
  24. All right, our latest show "Triple Treat" from last week is up and ready for listening and/ or downloading. http://www.tnt-radio.net/archive/624-whata...r-triple-treat/ "Triple Treat"'s second hour features the Reno Indy talk. And a dissection of the infamous wrestling resume of Dreamachine Ardine.
  25. Is this up in the archive? Working on getting our producer to get it posted.
