Over under on Meltzer not knowing who Cheetara is?
-
It's been a bloody day of TV watching for me. This show and I randomly put on Royal Rumble 2001 today and I forgot about the gusher Austin hit on that show.
-
Jesus, my fast forwarding game is off.
-
Huh, I must've fast forwarded. Wouldn't it have made more sense to drop that announcement on the flagship show?
-
When did they announce that The Elite were coming back tonight? Did I miss a big announcement on TV? It feels like they were showing those dopey Thanos snap videos and then last night and on the pre show the announcers were just casually mentioning that The Elite were back.

WWE TV 11/07 - 11/13 Roman broke his knee and made him humble

Remember when " Butch" felt like a dead end gimmick? Now, not so much. SD ruled tonight. That New Day/ Usos match was fucking awesome and told the story amazingly. Between that and Gunther vs Rey last week SD has been KILLING it. -
I mean, here on a message board in 2022 with less than a hundred regular posters? And like, 13 actively complaining ? Yeah. It's not the end of the world. They still do good in the ratings and have an audience. They clearly need to get it together, but a passionate fanbase is willing to get through the shit times, especially when there's an act as hot as The Acclaimed getting mainstream attention. That got me wondering, I can totally picture HHH eventually trying to bring them and Daddy Ass in.

Young Rock: A New NBC Sitcom About the Life of Dwayne Johnson

I don't care about inaccuracy in a sitcom that's not supposed to be a documentary, but the guy playing McMahon has a five o'clock shadow in the season premiere. Lol. -
Most people aren't aware of the Saudis and their crimes or don't care, not just wrestling fans. Don't they also book huge music acts and tons of celebrities? We still kiss their ass despite 9/11. WWE is just another company doing business with them. I don't like it. I don't watch the Saudi shows just for my own little psychic well being as I deal with the fact that everything we are entertained by is and always has been tainted with awful, terrible things.

And this " morale boost" lost viewers who didn't give a shit.
-
My point is, I doubt Jericho decided to book Cabana. That seems like a TK call.
-
Who's playing David Manning? A great actor could steal the film portraying that scumbag glory hog.
-
Tyson on Rampage was amazing. It was one of the great rapist performances in a business full of them.
-
Did Jericho book Cabana as a petty "Oooh we know what that means!" bit that people watching at home were either turned off by or didn't care about or even know about when Cabana came out?
-
Bought our Dynamite/ Rampage tickets for Broomfield, CO on 12/28 just now. There's a few hundred tix left. The First Bank Center holds around 6500. The last Dynamite was there on 3/4/20 right before the shutdown and about a third of the place was tarped off. I'm curious what it's going to be like this time.

The open felt like Russo's first Nitro and I guffawed out loud when Cabana's music hit. Jesus Christ.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Johnny Sorrow replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
So this pic was taken after the BOOM Pro Wrestling show last night in Vancouver where I was the Ring Announcer. That's Cole Sprause on the left who plays Jughead and on the right is the guy who plays Kevin on the TV show "Riverdale." The new Vancouver City Champion is Brady Malibu, great wrestler who went to Lance Storm's school. Before the show started I noticed a gang of really good looking people in the crowd. My pal Travis who is one of the owners comes up to me and says the cast of "Riverdale" was there. I couldn't recognize anyone from where I was stationed, and then five minutes later KJ Apa, sexy Archie walks in and I recognized that red hair right away. The freaking cast of Riverdale was at the first wrestling show I've ever performed in, and it was a GREAT super fun show. All of the talent couldn't have been nicer. Fucking wild. And according to the ladies bartending, the Riverdale cast were all incredibly nice. -

Well, if Larry the dog had just disappeared like McMahon did maybe this AEW drama wouldn't have taken over the discussion.
-
Holy shit, that backstage JAS promo was historically awful. Amazing.

Can we all just agree that ever since Sami turned heel he's slowly worked his way up the card by being awesome at everything? He was managing Cesaro and Nak as The Artists Collective and it ruled. He has a no crowd match with Danielson that ruled. The conspiracy theory stuff ruled. And then he made sure that the Jackass match wasn't garbage, but one of the best matches ever. It's no wonder he's Main Event Sami.
-
Lol. In all seriousness though, it's going to be a blast. Denver crowds are hype.
-
I prefer the "theory " that I just thought of. TK not only is a a lurker here, but he listens to ME. Come on. I was on a ton of podcasts with Will , who's like a brother! Jack Miller and I put Will on Internet radio when it was still a thing! TK and I definitely bought dvds from him . He was at DVDVR when I first discovered it. All I'm saying, ladies and gentlemen of the jury...is it not POSSIBLE Tony Khan saw my post, looked at the numbers and HOT crowds WWE has drawn here over the last year or so and said, " I'm gonna give Johnny that show he asked for exactly the week he can take his nephews to a Wrestling show on a Wednesday cause it's Christmas break!" I leave it to you.
-
I type it and it happens? Dynamite is coming back to Broomfield on 12/28 for their New Year's show. Nice.

WWE TV 10/10 - 10/16 Bray Wyatt is if Rob Zombie was a box office hit
Johnny Sorrow replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Ok, thanks. The Denver feed dropped towards what I think was the end of his thanking the fans. Also, that was a super fun SD. I love the angle with Rey switching brands because he'll never fight his son. There's some long term story going on there hopefully. Sami and The Bloodline continues to be the best thing in wrestling, and inject Bloodline vs. Brutes right into my veins.
