  1. http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-53-the-greatest-wrestler-ever/ A breezy almost three hours with Dylan and Will talking the Greatest Wrestler Ever project and going over a large amount of candidates. What is not to enjoy?
  2. Can the two guys that Dylan and I share just go to my roster?
  3. Toronto can take Portland as part of it's umbrella. It's already sharing two talents. Toronto/Halfiax/Portland.. Maple Leaf Wrestling from coast to coast the best wrestling in the world!
  4. Yes, would love to hear what you think of Toronto. Will be posting Toronto's TV week 2 tomorrow.
  5. In the Vince's document on announcers a discussion was made about WrestleMania main event being more important than the title. The question remains, can the title ever be the most important thing in modern wrestling? No company has it that way (even NJPW and ROH). Are fans too cynical or know too much? I still think it can work, although it would take a rebuilding time and some effort.
  6. You are not the top guy in the business if you main event WrestleMania. You are the person who won the Royal Rumble. Anyone can win the Royal Rumble and there is a huge pick of luck that goes into it (random entry). If you win the title than you are the best person in the business. Sure, winning the title at Mania is better than at any other show, but main eventing Mania and losing is not better than being the champion. At least it shouldn't be.
  7. Shouldn't it be though? Why should just being in a main match be more important than winning the main title? Shouldn't being the top person in the business be more important than getting a shot at that?
  8. It's a shame that title is so meaningless that winning it isn't a big deal.
  9. Well it obviously does. However should it really be portrayed as such on screen?
  10. Super Bowl not a fair comparison because winning the super bowl means you are the champion of the league. Money is not the only factor. The title is the ultimate goal, it means you are the best. Headlining WrestleMania means you won the Royal Rumble. There is no fair sports comparisons. I guess you can compare it to movies and say main eventing wrestlemania is like being the lead in Jurassic World. While wining the title is akin to winning the oscar for best movie. Sure both are great to have, but what is better money or being the best?

    Rusev

    Rusev by far.
  12. Being the champion should give you more money than just one night main eventing mania. Maybe if you only have a one night reign, but once you are the champion for a month it's a bigger deal.
  13. wrestlemania is bigger than the title in vince's mind
  14. What are you talking about? Where did I see everything in here was bad? Where did I state that these are all negatives? There is some good points in these releases, but a lot of sillyness too. Either way it's a fun read into the mind of Vince.
  15. It's just insane the depth they go into.
  16. Words to avoid: belt, strap the business, our industry feud war performance/performer, choreograph house show, use live event backstage, use in the back or in the lockerroom area pro wrestling, pro wrestler use superstar, star, athlete international, use global shot (no title shots) acrobatics interesting DQ talent (use star, superstar, diva) me, I heel, baby face, blown up, shoot, rib, mark, etc.. US, use United States Fans, (when possible refer to the audience as "you". In other situations ID them - Raw fans, Our fans, Cena fans, etc...) hospital, use edical center faction, use group please use "now available" instead of on sale We never want to use the term "the title is on the line" Please use more creative terms like "the title will be defended, etc..
  17. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/3cht6x/the_reason_why_wwe_commentary_is_so_badhere_are/ The insane depth of rules shows exactly why the announcers stink.

    Hulk Hogan

I find he gains a lot of sympathy during the face in peril sections of matches. Most of his matches are on him getting his ass beat until the come back and those matches are engaging. Isn't that what selling is, making getting beat down look good and compelling?

    Hulk Hogan

Post 87 Hogan is past his peak, so not what I am looking at for making a case for Hogan.

    WWE TV 7/6 - 7/12

This Raw was mostly good and I almost watched the whole thing. Quite a shock to me.
  21. And Silver Ant vs Eddie Edwards is winning. So annoying.
  22. Jonathan Gresham vs. Timothy Thatcher - 8.31.2014 This looks the most intriguing to me, although a few people I don't know on that list.

    Hulk Hogan

I love his babyface run from the AWA till sometime in 87.

    Hulk Hogan

As we move closer to the date I am pretty confident Hogan will make the list. One of the greatest sellers of all time. He was great in big moments and his charisma was so much it made a lot of lesser matches feel special. The really good matches and performances do exist, although not the 5 star classics. Hogan is a guy I will watch his stuff (during a lot of periods) and that is the most important to me on this list. Who do I want to watch the most.
  25. I'll be happier with a roku app, but until then I can easily plug my laptop into my tv, so not too big of a deal. I like the idea of new classics every month, however there is so much competition for my streaming dollar. You have WWE, NJPW, Smash, CZW and NWA Classics. I'm not spending 50 bucks each month, so it's hard. I think Classics will be dropped in August for the G1 and come back in September when that is over.
