Not a bad option, really.

Yeah, that is the biggest change but the only way it can work unless somebody adds a 4th choice or we completely abandon the first come first serve model.

I am so doing the dreaded Vince think of coming up with a gimmick and drafting the guys to fill it.
-
Wrestling doesn't sell. Nobody wants to watch a match without a story. At least that is what Vince said on Austin's podcast. In recent years, long matches have shown more ratings growth than talking segments generally speaking. And the type of matches I'm thinking are main eventer vs midcarder matches that they wouldn't put on PPV anyway. No reason Seth Rollins can't go 20 defending the title against Titus O'Neill, for example. I agree 100%, Vince McMahon does not see it though.

So he is a moron and doesn't understand probability.
-
It goes by order of sign up, not order of getting in list. Remember a few people don't care like dedhemingway is cool with other options. I can go through the listing tonight and figure it out exactly.

I will message you the play list for the upcoming Extreme Vault show tonight.

Punk wants, Central States, Portland, GCW, Memphis

Bret had monthly PPV's in May-Dec 1995, Jan, Fed, March, November, December 1996 as well as 97 (I know he had a knee injury). Mostly on the undercard and only for a year or two. Cena has had monthly ppvs for how many years? 9 years on top?

Assuming Beast takes Flair that leaves me to choose between: Jack & Jerry Brisco Wahoo McDaniel Roddy Piper Jake Roberts Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood Greg Valentine As my guys to save. Throw in Angela Mosca as the only Maple Leaf regular. Options, options!

This is tough. Cena, clearly, has lot more high end matches. However, he had montly ppvs and was in that situation a lot to have them. That is why I hate the great match theory. I liked both guys match structure, selling and storytelling. Where, I think, Bret has the edge is believe-ability in the ring and finishing sequences. Bret was Bret in the ring. A no nonsense never give up technician who would beat you with skill. Cena is a man with super strength that will never give up, but just throws stuff at you until you eventually go down. Switch each other and what would had happened. Would Bret being having as many great matches as Cena would have? I think most likely. However, putting Cena in Bret's shoes could be iffy. Long ppv matches with Diesel, Hakushi, Jean Pierre Laffite, etc.. maybe he pulls stuff out of them, but I don't have the confidence that I have in Bret. I think it's close though.

That and the Survivor Series 96 match. Both times Austin loses, but because he was so much lower than Bret going in, hanging with him til the end moved him up. One aspect is follow up. If Austin, after Mania 13, went on to lose matches to Goldust on the next show than it wouldn't had mattered. The key is, if you are elevated up the card then you have to be treated as up the card. For example Jeff Hardy had a ladder match with The Undertaker where he hung with him and it looked like a star making match. Afterwards he was booked right back where he was before the Taker match, so that Taker match didn't actually accomplish anything.

So close, but so far apart yet again.
-
I like this one best. This one is dependent on whether the real life prominence of each territory is going to be maintained or if we're aiming for parity. Yeah.. maybe we should set up a poll? Do we want a relatively close representation to start or parity.

When I get home tonight.

Are these rosters January or July? Also must be updated for the promotions used and freelancers and free agents separated.

Then he doesn't understand anything about probability at all. Some chance is WAY MORE ACCURATE than making up some number that can never be known. Oklanomics makes someone sound as stupid as someone who uses astrology. Does this really mean that much to you Steven? To an extent. People making stuff up and then using mathematics/science or facts to try to sound good actually does. Not to get political, but what Jim Ross did hear is the same thing some politicians do. In that case it is used to mislead the public, in this case it is just used. It's a slipper slope of why to allow it in one context and not another? The world would be a much better place if people didn't make shit up and just say what they actually mean. Jim Ross does not mean there is a 35% chance Austin will wrestle at WrestleMania, what he means is there is a chance, but is not likely. Saying 35% means he did some type of calculation and I would love to see what that is. It is harmless when Jim Ross does it, but when a politician does the same thing to mislead the public for re-election it is harmful.
-
There is nothing to ask him. He just doesn't understand probability and instead of saying what he thinks, he would rather just make up a bullshit number. He's either an idiot or is misinformed. Either way, it doesn't matter it just annoys me when people talk like that.

Why not say some chance? Why make up a bullshit number? It means absolutely nothing and just makes Jim Ross look like a moron. If he said there is a chance, but it's not likely then we is being fair. Saying 35% just makes him sound like a complete moron.

I think there is three methods. 1) The order we signed up. I hate this version. 2) A completely random order. 3) The order of the size of the promotions (ie WWF, JCP, AWA pick near the top while Maple Leaf, WWA etc.. pick near the bottom). I am cool with either of these. Once dkookypunk43 picks his promotion or the freelancers?? then we can all pick our saved talent and get a talent pool ready for the draft.
