  1. Oh man, my fantasy league just started and I needed some extra people. Sorry.
  2. Here's what I've got: 0. 12/7/85 Boston 1. 7/27/86 Toronto 2. 11/22/86 Philly (Superstars/Injury Angle) [1/1/87 Ricky Steamboat anti-drug promo] [1/31/87 Superstars Update on Ricky Steamboat] 3. 2/15/87 Toronto [2/23/87 MSG 6 Man Tag (Steamboat, Piper, JYD vs. Savage, Adonis, Race)] 4. 3/29/87 Pontiac [4/11/87 Ricky Steamboat promo as IC Champion] 5. 5/15/87 Houston 6. 7/26/87 Toronto Makes for a pretty well-rounded feud. Great watch. Don't they meet at the Wrestling Classic as well?
  3. Those two had some great matches... I know Will hates him, but fuck that, Muraco ruled from 81-85!!! That Snuka series over the IC belt is great stuff...heated as hell... Bloody too.
  4. I remember loving the strap match between Muraco and Snuka and it having an amazing ending.
  5. This episode made me want to do some type of fantasy league. I figure if there is 6-7 of us who want to do a draft and fantasy book it, a weekly show and bimonthly ppv would work well.
  6. I guess Punk-Cena doesn't count as part of this era?
  7. Not sure, but a comp covering his whole career would be pretty awesome. As X-Pac he still had a lot of good stuff.
  8. I remember liking the Randy Orton vs Ric Flair one from Taboo Tuesday. JBL-Eddie had a good TV one as well, as did CM Punk and Jeff Hardy.
  9. I didn't see a thread on the Lightning/1-2-3 X-Syxx-Pac Kid, so I thought I would create one. Looking back at his career it's really quite amazing. A lot of variety and had worked all over the place as a heel and a face. I wanted to watch some of his matches and I started with this: The set up to this was that Shawn & Diesel tried to take out Razor and the Kid stopped him and now Shawn wants to punish the Kid as revenge. I originally was just going to watch this, because I had never seen it before, but it was so awesome I had to write about it. It starts off with the Kid destroying Michaels with some fun high flying and kicks. There is a few awkward moments, but just fun stuff. That includes a great flip from the ring to the floor. Later on the Kid tries another dive, but Shawn catches him and does an awesome powerslam on the floor. Shawn gets in control and just starts punishing the Kid with awesome back breakers. There is a great moment where the Kid tries to come back and goes for a move off the top, but Shawn hits a great dropkick in mid air to stop that. The Kid tries another comeback with a kick counter to a submission and then a spin kick for a close near fall. They run into each other going off the ropes for a double knockout spot. The Kid's punches kind of suck, but he quickly goes back to his awesome kicks. Including a great spinning kick while Shawn is sandwiched in the corner. A moonsault bodyblock almost finishes Shawn off. Kid goes back on top for a cannonball, but Michaels moved. Commercial break and we are back and Shawn hits a superkick and then he destroys the Kid with the Razor's Edge, but picks him up instead of pinning him. Which follows the story of punishing the Kid. He gives him another Razor's Edge and then Razor comes out to stop the third one. Shawn slaps Razor and then he runs away leading to the Kid winning by countout. Diesel knocks out Razor from behind the curtain and Shawn just attacks Razor with awesome punches and then gives Razor the Razor's Edge on the floor. A real fun match with a good story and awesome high spots that were all pretty well placed in the story of the match. Definitely recommended. Shawn was also better in 1993 then I remember. I guess the SummerSlam Perfect match soiled my memories of him at the time. [*** 1/2]
  10. I just discovered this thread and I can`t believe there is not more Beach Boys discussion. Take a look at Pet Sounds! That may be the greatest album ever and it has ``Wouldn`t it Be Nice`and `God Only Knows``, that is insane. Add to that all the other great songs on their. Smile, if it was finished at the time, would had been just as great too. Good Vibrations is about as good as a pop song can be. Not to mention their amazing harmonies on their earlier stuff and some great songs like "In my Room". Then the stuff post Smile isn't so great due to Brian Wilson's melt down, but there is some great stuff mixed in their too. Anyway, I think the Beach Boys are right up there with The Beatles and Bob Dylan.

  12. Thanks guys, for your effort.
  13. Do you know when the rss feed will be coming for this podcast?
  14. The Backlund matches.
  15. My vote always goes to Savage. I heard rumours he was supposed to be the mystery guy at the Survivor Series (instead it was Snuka) so there is your starting point.

    DISC 1

Chad, you are building my anticipation with every post.
  17. His AWF title match against Tito is pretty good too!
  18. I was listening to Steve Austin's podcast and he mentioned that Bob Orton, Jr. is one of his favourite wrestlers to watch. What is the best stuff to watch from him? He always seemed great on the 80's set matches, but he seems like a guy like Bossman where he is great, however doesn't have many great matches. Although his prime may be in he 70's, I am not sure. The arm cast gimmick was really great though.
  19. Kassius Ohno vs Regal from NXT was amazing.
  20. Have you seen the Hansen or Khan matches from NJPW, because they are great!
  21. Thanks for having me on. I love talking about Bret Hart. Sorry I had to bow out due to phone issues. I will take it as a victory that Loss said you may be able to say that Bret Hart is more talented than Ric Flair. Good enough for me! Now I have to listen to the last half to see what I missed.
  22. Don Muraco (57) That is nice to see that he is 12th.

I was there live with Dave Musgrave and damn was that a fun show. The Goldust much is the best live match I've seen this year. It was so great.
