  1. Actually, someone could probably just e-mail their ballot to Dave and he'd just count it. It's Dave.
  2. Another year left off the list. Thanks, Dave.
  3. Also, Regal didn't really say anything negative about Steamboat/Savage. He said he considered it an all time great match, but that he had a hard time looking at it the same way after talking with Steamboat and hearing what he disliked about it. A number of workers in this area love Randy Orton. Mostly praising him for doing "the little things" well and his camera work. I think the constantly working to the cameras is what makes him awkward and unnatural. Play to the building, it's the camera crew's job to shoot it well.
  4. I think Roddy is having a pretty solid year, also. I wouldn't call myself a fan, but he has simplified a lot of his ringwork, and the shithead bro heel work has been fun. And is really just an extension of his natural personality. Steen & Excalibur's dueling Roddy impressions on commentary at PWG are (were) always gold.
  5. Quickly looking through results, and going almost entirely on memory of watching at the time, but spring 94 was about the time where I started paying more attention to him on TV. Coincides with lots of working Austin & Regal on the road.
  6. They could probably grab whatever that group was that ran with Dinsmore and the Bushwhackers and a bunch of other WWF guys a couple years ago. There wouldn't be a ton there, but they could probably cobble together some shows with recognizable names.

Honestly, whatever the number of guys is that are on the roster, that is the number of fake vampires I want. 40? 50? Somewhere in there. That many fake vampires.
  8. It was a fantastic video. That plus the Brock/Cena special was some really well produced rasslin television.
  9. Yes, and I create many of the card stats for the LOW series. Cory or Chad? vikingsfan is Chad.

Where did the Kevin Dunn rumor come from? I've seen a bunch of it on Twitter today, but can't find a source.

    Yeah, they were shorts.

  13. I picked Vince for pretty much the same reasons outlined above.
  14. They are all in the playlist I posted on the first page.
  15. So uh... I've never seen much of anything on that list, so I did this: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoltmE1u_WAad4S8UaqRcSwa5gIMGmm6M The only things not easily available on Youtube were weirdly the two Joe/Nigel matches, both of which are in full on Dailymotion.
  16. Botch bothers the fuck out of me, because most of the people I see using it have no idea what the fuck it means. God knows how many times I've seen someone on twitter or tumblr say that X wrestler just "did a botch". What the fuck? Are you familiar with English?

At the moment it's mostly promos about the Cosmic Key. They're building to something... what? Who knows. I dig the gimmick, though.
  18. I started to piece something together this morning involving cenobytes, but decided it's better off going in my booking notebook for when I'm running Very Adult Chikara.
  19. I don't typically wish ill on anyone, especially workers trying to scratch out a living, but I'll cheer for any episode of failure for ol' Wes Richards. Fuck him with a rusty spike.
  20. Russo was giving notes to people at TNA low key for a while, but accidentally copied MKJ on one of them a few weeks back, and that's how it got out publicly that Russo was working with them again. There are people that think you could slap some quotes onto "accidentally".

  23. The trick is that if it's not working, don't just fail backwards to Cena. Look to who IS getting a reaction, and nudge things that direction. The problem is that every time they've panicked about something not working, the next move has been to go back to Cena, and at this point the crowd is conditioned to that. Run with Reigns as the guy. If Reigns isn't working out, you start trying to work other guys into it. Most of the other times they've attempted to elevate a guy, it's been with the secondary title, so the crowd is always going to see them as secondary.
  24. I don't really think that the guy that beats Cena has to be the guy that is the next gigantic star. Did anyone see Cena coming along and becoming what he did? I don't think business plummets without him on top as long as they are actually getting behind trying to push someone on top. It's always been start and stop kneejerk reactions to a bad couple weeks of tv ratings, or a bad PPV buyrate, and they never give the story long enough to build to someone getting over to that level before they cut their legs out and go another direction. For once, they need to just decide on a direction and have faith in their ability to tell that story, instead of bailing at the first sign of trouble.
