  1. The Auschwitz Memorial is a business and has running costs, You are allowed to question anyone, doesn't mean because they the Aushwitz Memorial that they right and their word is correct. I forgot common sense isn't allowed anymore, everyone must be offended by something, even if they not offended until they told they should be offended by it. Not trying to pick a fight, if I've said anything you disagree with, educate me why i'm wrong and if i change my mind, or i am being blind with my view i will say so and learn from it. Trying to have a discussion on a forum which i believe is the point of them, I know i rub some people the wrong way with my view points, but they are balanced and thought out. Maybe i should try writing them softer.
  2. My point has always been until I know all the facts i don't automatically go Anti-Vickie. I was never pro-Vickie, just not my place to judge her until i know more of the story, or if possible a police investigation has been carried out. I will concede Vickie does come across as a terrible mother. But i'm always pro-Taylor
  3. Sigh, Until The Auschwitz Memorial bought it to our attention and told us that's what the image was, that we should be insulted by it. How many people watching WrestleMania was trigged by the image being used or was caused genuine upset or outrage. Plus Exploiting the image will also go to any film, tv show, cartoon that has used Auschwitz in telling their story's. So unless you ban the use of any photo's or footage or recreation of Auschwitz in form's of entertainment. Which then means less people will know about it, and take an interest in a important part of history. Not a news story, just hopefully human error in choosing the picture and it won't happen again. If i was more cynical i would say the Memorial people are just using it to get press about Auschwitz, which isn't a bad thing I guess. If the image was used to degrade the memory of the victims i would have a different view, but that's not what happened.
  4. Missed out on Summerslam as was only just 16 and my parents couldn't get me tickets to go. So this show is very tempting, just hope its not priced too high.
  5. In real life, If you ever come across a person who says they been sexually assaulted in workplace, or a friend tells you it's happened to them or family member get them the help and support them. Report it to the police, don't ever tell them you don't believe them or they making it up. Which is what Vickie should have done, got the proper people to investigate at the time. Bur online, unless its story's like Vince where he's paid hush money or Joey Ryan where there's too much evidence against him, that's not the response, nor should you disbelieve them. Leave it to the police and courts, as not every victim is telling the truth. Mental health issues unfortunately makes people lie for lot of reasons. Discuss it online or with friends, but don't direct message them or send hate or hurtful comments to the alleged victim. But that goes to the alleged person involved as well, as you have no idea if they are guilty or not. You may make a innocent person commit suicide from the online abuse against them. Don't forget the story where Megan said she had to sleep with Trent Seven, to stop him sleeping with underage girls. total batshit false story. Woman Involved In Trent Seven SpeakOut Allegations Denies Them - WrestlingRumors.net Eleanor Williams jailed for eight and a half years after rape and trafficking lies | Crime | The Guardian
  6. This was a much better response than mine, 100% agree with it
  7. Um just said she was drunk on the cruise, not black out drunk or too drunk to consent. It looks like a bad story on first viewing and if its true what Sherilyn has accused her stepdad off. He should of course be prosecuted and face charges for rape. But of course there are too sides to every story and Vickie has come out swinging and not posted in a very well thought out reply. Which was probably written in anger and Vickie didn't express herself in a dignified way. Plus who knows what Brain Cage knows about this situation, he probably knows more from working with Vickie than we do and was just giving someone he knows his support. Let me be clear, i'm not for one moment saying Sherilyn wasn't rapped, but internet justice just doesn't sit well with me. I like to get all the facts first or leave it to the police to investigate.
  8. Not aimed at just one person, or even the online stuff, but Tony lets too much shit fly behind the scenes. The stuff online doesn't help the perception of the company or the morale backstage. The whole Punk situation would have been avoided if he had took a firmer hand with the talent and had stepped in and stopped it much earlier. Punk should have just been fired just from the shooting comments in the press conference, never mind the fight as well. but that wouldn't have happened if Page and others had been pulled up for their backstage shit first. I think Punk is still a bigger deal to AEW, than a lot of the other people working there, so it makes sense to keep him happy to a point. But if he has issues, he needs to address them behind closed doors with Tony and not online. Now Vince is back, the WWE is much less of safety blanket for the talent, they may get hired, but they probably will be unhappy with the booking Vince gives them. The Cody outcome i'm guessing is a Vince call and not a Hunters one. Tony should use this time as an opportunity to cull his talent and get rid of the people not happy working for him, free up his budget for the new hires which will be happening in the next few weeks/months from the WWE (i predict) Not saying a workforce should be living in fear, but this does come across as a lot of entitled millennials who need to understand they are being paid to do a job at the end of the day. They work for Aew and they should give their boss and coworkers basic respect and also receive it too.
  9. I get rarely excited about much in wrestling anymore in fairness, maybe if they announced Punk was coming back and also Sasha Banks. that might give them an injection in the arm which is needed. If I'm Tony khan, now is the perfect time to offer anyone one who wants to leave the company the opportunity to do so. See how many jump at the chance to leave now Vince is back, plus the next time an idiot decides to post something stupid about the company, make an example out of them and cut them from the company.
  10. Just a random observation on the total unawareness of the people in charge of the the WWE. Any one else roll their eye's when Michael Cole tried to put the company over in the Flair vs Ripley match. This is an historic match tonight because for the first time in WrestleMania history. All women are involved in this match (including the ring announcer and referee) This moment has never happened in the history of 39 wrestlemaina's Oblivious to the fact that its an all male commentary team calling the match and it's 2023 Oh and I think Jason Jordan produced it, if the information is correct.
  11. Anything announced will be a disappointment, as expectations will always be higher than the pay off, But I am just repeating what was reported
  12. On the latest Observer radio, they think it might be their first UK date being announced.
  13. I wouldn't have booked the Tony Nese match for Seattle either, but when its over I bet we all be saying that was a MOTY level match.
  14. Shouldn't Khan be able to stop paying him, but hold him to his contract if he's not willing to work?
  15. One of the problems with Darby isn't just the high risk stuff, It's the basics he's going to get hurt on. His fundamentals on bump taking isn't the best and he comes down and lands on shoulders or neck and not flat on his back.
  16. I have to reread it, but Regal admits in his own book from memory he's not a great wrestler. Also if we comparing transitions in matches, watch Dory/funk or The Destroyer.
  17. She said in a interview that was the recommendation her doctor and that they would monitor her health and increase her matches on how her body holds up.
  18. Yep ZSJ shows up the rose tinted glasses Regal been looked though
  19. I agree, my whole point, he was the only guy doing that style in the us at that time.
  20. I suppose i should say I can't name one more heavyweight of Regal size in the last 30 years doing that style, so does that make him the best, because he's the only one in the race?
  21. Regal technical skills is a bit more advanced than what Hogan's was in japan, when you say heavyweight technical wrestler as in the British style, he probably was the best, with that parameter being set in the last 30 years. But not anywhere near Billy Robinson level, who may have been the best heavyweight of all time technical wrestler. Nor did he evolve it or move it forward like other wrestling styles have been advanced from the 70's. Regal skill in the ring was his whole act, he wasn't wrestling 4 or 5 star classics, it was his demeaner and how he carried himself around the ring, with very little actual technical wrestling involved in his matches. Just enough to stand out and be different in the ring from what other people was doing.
  22. Compared to his comptemporaries as a technical wrestler, Johnny saint, Jim Breaks, Steve Grey, Vic Faulkner, Johnny Kidd etc he's average at best. His best matches are probably the brawls with Finlay, his best technical match in that style on tape is with Davey boy smith in WCW. Who himself had better matches as a technical wrestler back in the late 70's and early 80's. I like that ring style, but he was hardly top 10 at doing it. He just was the only one in America with national tv exposure doing it, so he stood out as someone different and unique at the time.
