  1. Watch the Bryan match with Dustin, his speed and cardio wasn't there in that match either.
  2. Eddie Kingston needs to get into better shape for the top of the card, he doesn't have Kevin Owens or Foleys stamina for a 20 min main event. Also as awesome as he is on the mic, his wrestling skills needs sharping up, some of that is he gets sloppy when tired.
  3. WWE do it on the rare occasion, but by and large they pretend the competition doesn't exist. I know its 30 years ago, but think how much better Flair could have been booked coming in with the WCW title. Just don't see anything bush league about it, its more stupid to pretend the biggest wrestling company doesn't exist, When AEW they mention every other company out there and work with them too. Think Tony's end game is to do a show with WWE, probably have to wait for Vince to pass on before it happens.
  4. WWE brainwashed everyone into thinking you don't mention the competition, AEW doesn't pretend the other company's don't exist. Think it's fine and adds to the story they telling, it's going to be a big part of MJF story when his contract up and he's using it to get heat.
  5. Makes me like him more But he does need about two more years experience
  6. Fenix arm break, fuck was that bad, I really hope that's not the end of his carer.
  7. Ok guys I've checked out a couple of Lee Moriarity matches and while he doesn't suck. He is just an average/good wrestler, don't see a future star in him at this stage. I wouldn't be putting him on dynamite with any kind of push at the moment. The standard of work is too high and he's not up to it at the moment, nor does he show any kind of charisma that would help him get him over like Darby.
  8. If not for covid, I say send Dante to japan for 6 months, then book him 6 months in the UK. He needs lots of ring time to sharping his skills, plus needs to practice his interviews as well.
  9. Dante is only 20 years old, which is crazy when you think about how good he could become.
  10. I think unfortunately they have to much talent to give everyone there fair due and without house shows people won't advance and improve as much as they should. Lee Moriarty, you right I haven't seen much of his work, as I don't watch Dark, so he might be someone to push. Also Jay Lethal has disappeared and not been seen. But from watching the tv shows, Scorpio sky , Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Dante Martin and Lio Rush are getting tv time and Hobbs, to a lesser degree . So I definitely see them building for the future of the company, we find out in 6 months or so I guess.
  11. Hopefully keith Lee is heathy, signs and can be that top guy, but who is the black star they have at Darby or MJF level. Hobbs is no where close to ready for that role, in his work or interviews that I've seen. Scorpio sky not at that level work wise, but is a good talker, Anthony Bowens in 6 months might be that guy. Dante Martin is about 2 years out from being fully ready, but has huge upside and will end up being a huge star. I understand the argument that they should have pushed a black star alone with Jungle boy, Darby and MJF. But if those guys didn't have the IT factor to get over, they wouldn't be over.
  12. What is the diversity issue in AEW, are we saying they should just make a black person champion to fill a quota? The truth is they don't have anybody ready for that spot, but you can see they building for the future by investing in people to fill those spots in the next couple of years. The company is three years old, who has Tony not hired who was available and good enough to be in that top spot?
  13. The bit of her post which is not been focused on, is the effect of the crew sitting out in catering/home and not being featured because the new signees have been pushed to the top of the card. That is probably hurting moral in the back, even if Tony would be crazy not to push the new people he has signed. The diversity issue is at this time is a stupid argument, as Tony is investing in his diversity, but no one is ready for a top spot this year. If Keith Lee is signed then yes he can be pushed as a top guy, but his age and injuries may be a reason why he was let go and who knows how good he is in the ring at this point? His cardio was hurting in his last run, so we have to see if it was ring rust or a side effect of covid. As for Tony replying, may not be a good corporate look but at the same time it was a truthful response and I do like it when people don't crow down to this new culture where we have to spare everyone feelings and say what's the PC response. As a white guy I get I might be missing a peace of the puzzle, maybe Swole and Lio Rush view is that they should have been/ be pushed to the top of the card and because they black, they been held back and not getting the same opportunity as others in the company, I don't know. Lio Rush has an upside and might be huge in 6 months, but he's not main event level at the moment and he's been featured and he is getting over with the fans. But he's only just signed and he shouldn't be pushed at this moment like punk, Bryan or even Darby. But I think this just because I'm black, I'm being held back or not getting my fair push doesn't work for an argument in AEW, WWE yes you can/could make that case. So I get why that would piss Tony Khan off, when from the outside it look's like he's building for the future by investing in young talent from different cultures.
  14. Freddie Prinze Jr. Says His Pitch For Jeff Hardy To Become World Champion Caused A Divide Between Himself and Triple H In WWE (wrestlingheadlines.com)
  15. From Kinchstalkers Puroresu history thread Anyway, a buildup tag on a July 5 Korakuen show had seen Taue and Hansen square off, respectively partnered with Rusher Kimura and Billy Black. During this match, about half of which aired joined-in-progress, Hansen fractured Taue’s left orbital bone, dislodging his eye. (To this day, Taue says that when his eyes are in motion, “it’s like he’s only seeing out of his right side”.) Plus the Vader match and the story about Dan Kroffat, who apparently put stan in a shoot arm bar to calm him down and teach him a lesson. As he was stiffing guys on the tour, after that run in he was better behaved on the tour. I think Hansen is one of the greatest wrestlers ever, but not greatest workers as Bret Hart would say, he didn't always work safe and would take liberty's if he thought he could get away with it. Even with those story's I think Nia Jax is still far worse and has no business being in a wrestling ring. Part of here issue's is her knees are shot, she did have an operation from memory a few years ago. But she's carrying way too much weight and she can't move well in a ring, for her health she should try to lose some size. She hasn't learnt how to work and protect her opponent's in what 7 years? she never will. Probably a bit mean, but she's not Hansen, Vader, Bigelow, or even a Mike Shaw, she's the Mable of woman's wrestling.
  16. Do we know what was in the "really good post" tweets I've had the Vaccine, but I don't blame people not wanting a rushed though vaccine that we don't now all the risks, or long term effects, if there are any from it. I understand herd immunity and why it's good for all of us to be vaccinated for the greater good. But normally vaccines take up to 10 years to get approved for the public to use. So you can understand why some people would be hesitant to be guinea pigs even for the greater good. I don't hold with the conspiracy theories, but nor do I have an issue with people having intelligent discussion about the pro's and cons of having the jab's. As long as it's based on science and the facts and not the government out to get you/control you shit. So just trying to find out what Ogogo actually said, as I don't think being anti-vax automatically makes you a lunatic.
  17. Ogogo had a 10th operation on his eye, which is why he's been away, but I believe he's now back to training in the states.
  18. I just think he just looks to goofy to be taken seriously as a top star. He's like Too Cool level act where I can see him getting amazing reactions from the crowd, but no one see's him as a main event player. Which is a shame, as he is an fantastic talent in the ring, Tony khan just needs to buy the Jushin Liger right's for him. Or come up with a new costume that hides his face and he could be a huge star for the company. Plus he could be a mega star for kids if they market it the right way. It's may be a terrible thing to say, but he's like Miz where his face hurts his believability as a wrestler.
  19. Oh wow I think they be crazy not to grab him, depending on health, hopefully not Nia Jax. Ember moon could be a huge star for AEW and i would grab Mia Yim as well. Oh and Gran Metalik , but I think that's it,
  20. In farness it shouldn't be hard to book, would need good wrestlers to emote the right emotion's for it to work correctly. But no way could the WWE book it before it becomes vulgar. Suppose could base it loosely on Sunny, Shawn and Chris Candido mess of a situation.
  21. I was quoting a post where it sounded like Tetsujin was offended by it, so someone was offended by it. Plus your reply to me sounds like you were offended, when I'm just trying to have a discussion on it. I didn't get slut shaming from it at all, It was a play on words. This slut shaming is something you added and wasn't in the promo. Implying a woman will take on all 5 men is just an easy laugh to get and the crowd popped big for it, so not sure where it didn't get over with the live crowd came from. In a different context where it was a more serious promo then yes it could be slut shaming, if you were passing judgment on a person. This was played for laughs and not in a serious manor at all. As for wokism I have no issues for genuine racist, homophobic or misogynistic behaviour to being called to account for. But when everything gets called to account, when there's no malice or ill intent, it just weakness' the real stuff for when it does need to be addressed. As for giving it a rest, this is a forum and I am genuinely interested on other peoples views on these issue's. As if I misunderstood something it's good to talk about it and grow as a person. Or at least understand the other persons view, as I may have missed something in how I saw it. But I do think a lot of this is because Jericho said it and because of his political views, he's held to a different standard than others and is picked apart more when he does say something. Also just interested as a separate discussion can a babyface call a heel woman a slut, if she is a slut in storyline or known to be one in real life? This applies to men too, not just woman. Or is it just a taboo subject and in todays culture sleeping around on your man/woman is not sluttish anymore, just empowering your sexual rights as a human?
  22. She was a bitch, she interfered in the 6 man tag and then took selfies, what you supposed to call her, a naughty woman, oh you little scamp. The Gangbang and only fans was worked out before hand and he left it to the crowd to make there own joke's. She was having a great time out here and you could see she loved it. As she was having a hard time trying to look pissed off with it. It's wrestling and was a funny set up/exchange between consenting adults in a fake world of wrestling. People are getting too caught up in Me Too moment and cancel culture.
  23. Just look at who Vince pushes, Omos has no long term value in wrestling, but will be pushed over someone like Riddle. Who would be a huge star in AWE. I agree I think Miro a star and I cant wait for Lana to join him and see what they come up together with AEW creative freedom. I was just pointing out he's not a giant or a big man in the classic sense of big men in wrestling.
  24. Miro looked like he had only an inch on Danielson in height , so means he's about 5.9 maybe. He's just has a thick body, so he would be classed a little guy and probably why Vince never saw much in him.
  25. You not in control of your own bump's on those moves, up to your opponent on how you land. You just jump to make it easier for them to do the move to you, more likely to be injured on those bumps. But Walter chops are not something I would like to experience, anymore than a Vader punch/ forearm combination. I don't think they worse than flair/wahoo/Tenryu/ kobashi at their stiffest. I think a lot of it is how his opponents are booked to die after one chop from him, rather than get into a major chop war.
