It's ridiculous. Who the hell is on that card ? Baron Corbin ? Shane O Mac ? Dolph Ziggler ? Even if it was broadcasted in French I would not touch it. Well, I'm still interested in watching an AJ Styles vs Ricochet match. And I guess Charlotte vs Trish, for sheer novelty values. But it seems like they tried their best to have the most irrelevant SummerSlam ever. When you think about the insane amount of talents they have under contract, it's just another proportion of ridiculous.

Next WWE Saudi Show should be presented at being broadcasted from Spain or something. I mean, it's sunny.

Hart > Flair Kawada > Okada (not by much, both are GOAT level anyway) Misawa > Kobashi (the same) Not seen enough Danielson, but it's probably closer than I might have thought before. Tanahashi > Taue (with a huge gap)

Actually, the true question is : why the fuck anyone should give a shit about a Goldy squash in 2019. Seriously. His comeback program with Brock Lesnar was something at least, it was a top match against the top star, it was fine for two nostalgia pops and finally see Goldy do what he does in WWE (whatever that was worth, I was tired of Goldberg before the end of 1998). Ok, it's been done. People have seen Goldy come back and beat Brock. So, now it's 2019. And you get a Goldy squash against a JJTS like it's Thunder 1998. Really ? Has the bar in WWE sunk that low that people are actually interested in seeing this ? I'm amazed.

You people are downright mean now ! (he's a fan of Henri Rollins, so there's that at the very least)

Maybe I'm just getting bored with pro-wrestling podcast... I feel Conrad redoing the shows he already did with Brucie does not help, because there's a sense of "I've heard the same stories already" with the Canadian Stampede & SummerSlam 97 shows. Last show I really enjoyed was the GAB 90. Maybe they should only do WCW shows...

Don't disparage the good name of Lacey Evans. Plus, the women division has been carried by the super hot IIconics all this time. Those women tag team championship really needed this...

I wouldn't go that far, but he is a highlight of every A Block day. His best G1 yet ? MVP.... To me it's between Ishii & Takagi for consistency and Tanahashi for the big matches performances.
-
Yano vs Ishii was priceless. Yano going all workrate on Ishii was something else. Juice vs Taichi was exactly what I thought it would be. Extra points for Miho Abe slapping Juice outside. Extra points for Taichi making a sumo reference, as explained by Chris Charlton. Goto vs Cobb was so *there*. Good match and all, but totally there. Cobb keeps on being the disappointment of this G1, sadly. White vs Mox went exactly I as thought it would. Again, White is working his gimmick like nobody's business. Some of his explosive counters are simply awesome. But it can get somewhat predictable. Still, very good match. But really, let's be honest, Takagi & Naito just stole the show. And they probably stole this two days shows. Yeah, I have it above Tana vs Ibushi. Maybe because I have Takagi & Naito above Ibushi, generally speaking. And say what you want, but Naito still feels like the biggest star in this company. One day may come when Gedo regrets not going all out with Naito when he was still physically in his prime. MOTYC, just awesome awesome match. And there's so much you can do with Takagi...

Some time ago, I guess when it seemed new, people were talking about how great it was and how this was back to kayfabe and stuff... Yeah, it really worked out well. Like Twitter in general, actually.

Oh yeah. It's funny, but actually his partner in MLW Richard Holliday reminds me of Candido quite a bit too. But there's obviously some Candido in MJF in that he apparently can do *anything* and look good at it. The way he handled the stupid "fear of heights" gimmick in the multi-men ladder match in MLW was very reminiscent of Candido I thought.

"not believable", "they are killing wrestling", "they have no ability anymore", "they take these bumps that mean nothing", "when you act like a clown you look like a clown", "goofy outfit" Corny talking about the Young Bucks or the AEW undercard guys ? Nope. Karl Gotch talking about Harley Race and the crew. It's amazing and awesome.

That never gets old. Should be tons of fun, but I'm between two G1 Osaka cards, no way I'm going through this now. Waiting Monday night probably. Scarlett Bordeaux teaming with AEW Sammy Guevara is pretty cool is that says anything about where she could end up. I miss her on IMPACT.

Yes, they can get 12 at most, but Okada is already at 12 and beat them both. Probably confused and exhausted. I must say, like last year, he and Rocky are doing a fantastic job overall.

Ibushi vs Tanahashi was masterpiece pro-wrestling. Although I gotta say, in the grand scheme of things, I don't think Ibushi is close to Tanahashi (or Okada or Naito) in term of a worker. He's the most spectacular of the bunch and still "great" though. But Tana is just on another level. I really didn't mind the slower, more deliberate approach of Okada vs SANADA. Reminds me of old-school NJ stuff, Chono vs Muto from the early 90's, which I loved. The final minutes though, were absolutely brillant. Just brillant. Totally agree. That motherfucker had me hook line and sinker that 1/he was gonna lose 2/he was gonna win 3/he was maybe not gonna win and a draw was coming 4/he was gonna lose 5/fuck no ? Ok yes. While the booking made all the sense in the world that he had to lose, so the end result was actually predictable (which is not a bad thing at all). Just a fantastic job. Honestly, time stood still for the ending stretch of those two matches. Also, EVIL probably is working the best series of matches of his entire career. It probably helps that he's getting Tana & Ospreay back to back. Wait, Okada now ? Hopefully the streak may continue. And Fale is soooo useless. Put Chase Owens in the G1 next year if you need a jobber, at least we'll get good matches. Archer vs ZSJ was everything he could have been and more. Damn, Archer has been a revelation on this, and there's no way ZJS is not one of the most fun guys to watch (unless he's paired with Fale).

One : well, yes I have. We just disagree on some of what may constitute a misfire. Two : I've been around way too long already. You should know by now I'm making jokes and snarky comments all the time.
-
The answer is yes. Big main event style match, I have no idea, but thus far every situation he's been put on he looked good.
-
The guy should be MJF btw, if they really want to build into a long term feud. Pieces have been put together slowly on BTE for ever now.

Ok. My post was a joke making fun of all the haters who only focus on the unimportant parts of the show, forgetting what's actually the selling point. Thought it was obvious. People are in denial of AEW's current success. So, that was the sound of brains melting. (damn, a joke is always less funny when you have to explain it) As far as "turning a blind eye to bad wrestling segment", please, don't go that way. I've said the Dark Order gimmick sucks. I've called Jimmy Havoc a shitty garbage comedy worker on MLW before (he just hasn't done anything offensive in AEW yet, him working straight in the six men match was actually pretty decent). I've criticized the lenghts and structure of the main event at Fyter Fest. As far as the Librarians, I've said a a zillion times before : it's ok to me. And the Battle Royal at All-In was *good* to me. I enjoy Sonny Kiss (although like I said, he didn't look nearly as good at Fyter Fest as he ever did in LU), I enjoy Joey Janela, I enjoy Marko Stunt, Orange Cassidy makes me laugh. So, there it is. Now, will I focus a lot more on what I enjoy in AEW, like I did before in LU and like I do now in IMPACT ? Of course, because I actually like the promotion (thus far). And it's different to review stuff from the past and watch things happen in real time too (you tend to give more of a pass to some stuff because you don't know how it is gonna end up, whereas it was easy to trump WCW 99-01 or parts of TNA into the ground with the benefits of hindsight). Will I be more forgiving ? Probably. Is that bias ? I would guess you can call it that. But again, if something I really dislike or find is shit happens in any promotion, I don't think I'll have trouble pointing it out. You don't see me talk about those great Bad Luck Fale matches in the G1... There's some things I'm not too sure about in AEW (including some I don't talk about), but like I said, I'm still in the wait & see mode as far as these go. Thus far, they've been pretty ok with their choices. I mean, Shawn Spears and Tully ? But the haters in denial of what's actually happening now, yeah, you can make fun of a bit.

The entire presentation was such a classy send-off by CMLL to Liger. Not to mention his old rival Negro Casas putting him over at the end. So much respect showed by everyone. I dug Caristico's own Liger themed outfit. I guess the dancers were happy to finally do something different too. The LA Parks vs Los Ingobernables & Mistico on the undercard was a pretty crazy brawl. Will they do Park vs Rush, mask vs hair for the next anniversary show ? Anyway, everyone should watch that Liger send-off, just one of the coolest event of the year thus far.

But the Librarians suuuuuuuuuucks.... and comedy garbage pasty guys transvestite bouhhhhhhh flippy flops.... HTTP 404

To me that's the major point. And to some people, and I guess especially an entire generation raised during the WWE monopoly, it's not even fathomable. Well, sorry guys...
-
So that's gonna be Daniel Bryan new gimmick ? The Forklift Driver ? Where is Duke Droese when you need him ?

AEW, officially blood and guts. Sincerely, I never thought Cody would have stepped in as much as he did, both as a worker and a promo. He sure grabbed that brass ring...
