Well, while Rock was conquering Hollywood, James & Kip were doing those godawful VKM skits and eye gouging misogynic stuff with Chrystie Hemme in TNA… But everything is right now though. Road Dog is Old Skweel now...

He knows where his bread is buttered. He can be a lifer over there now. In the process, he seems to have AlSnowed himself.
  3. Wonderful. Whatever can bring life into the product, Vince will kill immediately.

When I said Road Dog could cut promos, I mean he had the ability to do so, as showed by stuff from time to time, including in TNA when they brought Bullet Bob too. Of course the intro stuff got annoying and repetitive by the fall of 98. It's not like the NAO were a very good team to begin with either.

They were the worst NAO ever. Annoying sing-along catchprases and nothing else. At least Road Rog could work and cut promos that actually meant something (as opposed to blabbing some nonsensical pseudo-cool Jersey bullshit), and Billy Gunn on his worst day was still way better than Cass. Never got whatever hype these guys got.
  6. Come on. Ratings don't matter at all. Everybody is watching WWE on Youtube...
  7. Exactly. Hence the sarcasm, but it wasn't clear I guess. Really, the idea of building around Alberto was just not right to begin with.
  8. Say what you want about Corny and his obsessions, but the 1990 Timeline is quite terrific. The guy has the fucking notebooks from back then ! Better than Prichard's version for WWF of course, although this one was clearly on the upper tier too.

    He said "belt".
  10. He wasn't half-good either.
  11. Cass is Test minus the good looks. He'll get pushed. He'll suck (well he does already). Where the fuck is Lance Hoyt when you need him ?
  12. Voilà. And Lucha Underground season 2.
  13. Puscifer latest album's aesthetic is all lucha influenced. But already in the previous one, you had this little gem : (no idea why some pro-wrestling promotion never got Maynard involved. Ok he's more an MMA guy, but stil...)
  14. I think it's time to abandon that damn TNA thread and talk about GFW, the fed that had Alberto El Patron to build around (well, not anymore, but still) right there. So people can remember how it all started too.

Rey got over like crazy in WCW by wrestling guys mostly smaller than Psicosis. (but yeah, agree about big vs small, it's easy, it's fun and it always works well when good workers are involved)

His reign was a joke though. He was made out to be an underdog fool, not a latino superhero that would sell zillions of masks to kids (it's 2017, they still have no idea how to sell their shit to the latino audience). And really, Vince was always against it and they gave him the belt only because Eddie had died.
  17. Nah. Same set than in 2000. Authority figure. GM. Backstage acting with awkward pauses. That's it. That's the rule.
  18. The whole "choose a side" is stupid as hell though. I like Zayn a lot. Don't care much for Owens. I like Braun a lot. Don't care much for Roman.
  19. I dunno. He doesn't look much more bad-ass than Brian Lee as Chainz. Ok for mid-card. When you got Braun, Lesnar & Joe on your roster, I don't see a lack of bad-ass-don't-give-a-fuckery (although I don't care for Lesnar's matches anyore, but that's another thing).
  20. Kudos to Jarrett on this one.
  21. I have no idea what people see in Corbin. Mediocre at very best in the ring, no charisma, bad hairline. He's like a big man JTTS on Thunder. I'm baffled.
  22. If the crowd reacted accordingly to the booking, they would just stop watching. WWE should be glad they got this smart-ass hardcore audience, because they're the most faithfull despite all the shitty product you can thrown at them. So yeah, the WWE should listen to their audience instead of constantly pissing on it. Pro-wrestling fans are like that though, they never ever quit. TNA is still around...
  23. This whole "fans who boo Roman Reigns are stooopid, they want indy darlings, MOVEZ and such, they think they so smart but they aren't because trve fans luuuuv storytelling like Memphis ya know" talking point has jumped the shark a long, long time ago. Those fans who boo the shit out of Reigns love Braun. Braun, Das Indy Darling. (and maybe they would care more about Sami Zayn if he wasn't positioned like a JTTS, crazy notion I know)
  24. Since he's been pushed down the throat of the audience for what, three years straight now as the Man, him not selling the most merch (let's not forget what "pushed as the Man" implies as far as merch availability and marketing either) and not getting the most reaction (which is not to say is a good thing since the audience rejects him as the Man) would be pretty pathetic actually. It's totally the Man-by-Default. Picture if the WWE put the same effort pushing someone the audience actually *wanted*, with the same TV time and merch push. Crazy idea that it would be *more* successful and make *more* money ? It's just stupid. Plus, the hardcores are the one spending the most money on wrestling now. And the hardcores will never accept Reigns. That's just a fact at this point. So yeah, they're doing "ok" I guess. Instead of even trying to do great by listening to their own audience. Which also makes the product very unlikable as a whole. They're a bunch of dumbfucks. Look at what they did with Bailey… They have no idea.
  25. Least intimidating vampire ever. Twilight Boy. Shelly was the only good part of this act.
