In the end, this has nothing to do with Mauro being annoying or not (which wouldn't excuse the hazing anyway). It's about the culture and why it should be exposed. Interesting stuff.

    Superstar Shake Up

    That damn Indian guy...
  3. JIP. Well, that's a blast from the past, when you could only guess what happened before and get thrown immediately into the action. And what action it is. MOTYC on TV, which probably wasn't happening very often (WWE in 2006, yuck). The only questionnable thing is putting back the X-div title on Joe so soon after figuring a way to take it from him without having to beat him in the Ultimate X. On the other hand, it makes for a dramatic and exciting moment to open the new iMPACT programming, so it was good from that perspective. What can you say about the match ? Joe & Daniels are world class workers at this point and they just deliver a classic match here. Again.

Good. I hope it doesn't stop there. WWE deserves so much shit for this.
  5. I admit I have no idea where the Tanaka hate comes from on (I saw it regularly on this board for a while). He was always super respected and well liked back then until the failed Heat gimmick in NJ. I remember liking this quite a bit, mostly the lucharesu stuff. AKINO & Idaka got so well together. Well, so did Tanaka & Fukawa, but I don't think it was quite the same dynamic.
  6. In what thread were we talking about "boys" thinking it was still 1984 and those damn millenials already ?
  7. Exactly. His homophobia is so transparent it's ridiculous. "Bro, I have nothing against homosexuals. But really, if you're at NXT chanting This Is Awesome at Finn Balor, you have to be gay or in the closet." And ? What if ? It's Orlando after all. Why not. AND SO WHAT ? The kiss of death is "men do not react to other men that way. It’s not a normal function." Mmmkay. What exactly do you imply by "not a normal function" ? The idea than some indy still employs his services is absolutely mind-blowing. He's just not the worst booker ever, he's a despicable guy.
  8. He's probably trolling anyway. I mean, his use of "bro" sounds like he's working his gimmick. He's a chauvinistic pig anyway (cf WCW Highway to Hell thread). So, yeah, he's most probably an homophobic idiot too. He's desperate for attention. Poor guy.

You don't sound like a jerk. To me it sounds pretty much true, especially for the WWE. Hell, each year, WWE is doing the most hypocritical, tear-jearking PR bullshit of all with this Warrior Award. Warrior Award ? Do people even care about Warrior's declarations on gay people and shit over the years anymore ? Guess not. In any other legit business, this wouldn't fly for two seconds I'd hope.

Of course. But not all people in WWE act that way. Let's not excuse the perpetrators because they're just "part of the system". Yes, the system is fucked up at the top like I said. But so are pieces of shit like JBL and Demott, and they don't have any excuse.

WWE is basically a company run by sociopaths. I loved Dave answering the "Why do they lie about attendance number when they do a sold-out anyway ?" question by "Some people lie because they are just fucking liars !". I hope some day, someone just expose all the bullshit that takes place over there and that these people finally get theirs. The fact JBL is still employed is absolutely ridiculous.
  12. Actually, it's already a FOUR days event. The HOF, then NXT, then Mania, then RAWafterMania. Seriously.
  13. That's pretty much defining Yagi's career.
  14. WCW Not listening to Prichard. Way too obnoxious and corporate minded in the interviews I've heard (with Corny for instance). And like Tony S. himself said, after two minutes, you know the guy is full of shit.
  15. Justin Hawk Bradshaw was pretty much a Stan Hansen copycat, complete with the bullrope and hand gesture.
  16. I wasn't sure how Joe would fit in the Ultimate X match, and yet he did. Another great one. This has to be one of the best series of matches ever in the US (or elsewhere). I wasn't aware of Joe's condition and it didn't show, he was as good as ever. The double muscle buster was a perfect payback spot, and the finish was exactly what it needed to be, with the right guy winning. And yet, Joe is still protected thanks to the gimmick. Great match, great booking.
  17. This podcast is insane. In this weeks edition, Schiavone tells an hilarious story about Arn Anderson agenting Ron Reese as The Yetay. The he admits he has a tiny dick which is one reason he wouldn't do a threesome with Flair (who's got a huge one apparently) and a "party girl". Schiavone is a riot.

    Wrestlemania

    Into the void. As always.
  19. Super fun match. Not everyday you see father/daugher tag tea against each other. These four made everything look so smooth and easy. Nope. LCO formed a new faction with Ohmukai & Fukawa, with some kind of fashion model gimmick of sorts. And since Fukawa was basically a JTTS at this point, sadly (despite being the second best worker in the company), Chama got all the big matches. I was not a fan of this angle, despite loving pretty much everyone involve (Ohmukai, not as much as the others).

    Wrestlemania

You surprised ? Yes, it was better than last year's atrocity. But damn, the show went off a cliff completely after the mixed-tag. That HHH vs Rollins - Orton vs Bray - Pittbull concert never-ending tunnel of suck was unbearable. And then what came after was mosty "ok for what it was". Taker's post-match send-off was nice, the match was good until it got all sappy and fake-drama. The only legit really good matches were the women's four-way, the ladder clusterfuck, mostly thanks to the Hardy showing up which made it completely insane, and the mixed-tag which was fun bullshit. It was *better* than I expected, but I would not call it *good* by any strecht of the imagination. Mediocre, with some fun peak moments. First off, scrap those ten minutes recap before each match. We know what the fuck is happening. Mania is still a chore, mostly. This thread was tons of fun though.
  21. Not really looking forward to Lesnar vs Reigns...

    Wrestlemania

I wished the Undertaker had some kind of supernatural sendoff, but I guess this will do. Not a big fan of watching him overstaying his welcome the last few years, that match was just sad at points. I was a huge fan of Taker in the 90's, so I guess that's the last of my original favourites who goes into retirement. Well, he well deserves it. And I deserve to rest, it's 6:20 in the morning. It was fun. And not so fun. But mostly fun.

    Wrestlemania

As good as a Taker match could be at this point, with the fine Reigns heeling up and working around Taker's limitations. But I was not feeling the whole pathetic "Sorry I love you" kinda stuff at the end. It should have ended with the mercy killing much earlier, after the chairshots. Some of it was just sad to watch. Taker just did a few matches too many.

Try two hours almost. It was two hours between the ending of the ladder match until Goldy vs Lesnar, right ?
