  1. No, I didn't want to put Christian quite that low.
  2. Seems about accurate to me.
  3. Now I want to know if there's anything hugely interesting you've found not represented on Graham's site.
  4. Matt D

    NXT talk

All of the main roster injuries (though those are fading off now) couldn't hurt him heading up.
  5. A couple of us are already thinking of how to do a WoS project for people, looking at it in ways that aren't the previous conventional ones, as a direct response of the last couple of weeks.
  6. I will say that I'm tremendously happy with the top 125. I'd love to see us report it that way instead of the top 100. In general, I think I see it as a good sign of where work needs to be done. There's a lot of wrestling to explore and a lot of wrestling that people aren't as familiar with and efforts can be continued to be made for those things that we've found either in the last two years or before that which we want to share with others.
  7. The Mil vs Tully video feels like one of the most special nights I've seen in Classics so far. There are two matches in the video. Mil vs Tully feels like one of the better, more weighty five minute matches we have, but the chaos that ensues and the heat and the impromptu match that follows (with the drink-assisted transitions!) and the crazy scene at the end. All of it adds up to what we'd consider a classic episode of TV if it was in Memphis or Mid-South. It's the sort of night that you can see the fans telling their kids about someday. That's how it felt at least. I can imagine the heat a few weeks before when Mil lost and I can imagine the heat a week later with Tully in a cage for the blowoff match. This feels like the greatest Houston feud we weren't expecting.
  8. THE DEATH VALLEY PLAYAHZ. six fists in the face of wrestling don't exactly count.
  9. I actually think ranking all 4 outside of the top 15 does sort of come off as anti-AJPW relatively. I think it's going to be a fairly unique rating for someone ranking them to not have at least one in the top ten.
  10. Tully's looked really good in Houston this week so far. (goc in before me)
  11. Jericho?
  12. Thanks. We're just trying to finish our lists up now. It's been a lot of fun though. I'm glad you're enjoying them.
  13. It's ironic? Maybe it represents her putting Angle and Triple H next to each other? Maybe it warns people we butcher the Spanish language frequently?
  14. Dandy's still in play right? He's got to be next. One over Brock.
  15. I don't see it as a social justice thing considering the shoot guys (save for what, Fujiwara?) and the WoS guys (save for maybe Finlay and Regal but that's not where their case is made) are pretty much gone too. It's a genre thing, not a sexism thing.
  16. Oops. Sorry, Billy. Thankfully, Andre would have fallen where he did regardless.
  17. Reality unnominated him.
  18. Then you would have been missing Austin though.
  19. I'd say at least catch the Perfect/Bret vs Ramon/Luger match too. And the Bret vs Backlund MSG match.
  20. Do you really think you could take my team of Kellett, Solar, Goto, Porky and Saint? It's going to be a joy collaborating with you.
  21. I need to switch my Avatar to Breaks soon. My top voter scores are for Garza, Mike Jackson, Virus, Bill Eadie, and Jim Breaks. That's my new favorite Survivor Series team.
  22. Mil did look really good there, I thought he was getting back up way too quickly as he was getting hammered down, but past that nothing egregious and his act worked really well against guys who could stooge as thoroughly as Gino and Tully. He was also great on the apron as cheerleader. I liked the finish a lot actually, with the escalating frustration. Houston's tag structure bedevils me a bit as it's not generally a traditional southern tag but either has the sputtering heat or, like in this one, felt more like an AJPW tag at times, back and forth while still highlighting Tito and Mil's ability to overcome adversity and how rotten Gino and Tully could be. I loved Tully's use of the elbow here and his flipping corner bump too. This was Tito as an ace and it showed. I really feel like these Houston matches from this era fills in an important gap with him.
  23. Alright, Lisa Lewis, front and center to explain the #1 vote.
  24. Billy hasn't dropped yet. Nor Regal but they aren't the pure (or majority) Joint Promotions guys.
  25. The sun has set on the British Empire.
