  1. I can't wait for that Bracero vs Race match to drop.
  2. Barring further msihap, I plan on listening to the beginning tonight. I may or may not have words with our good friend Loss after that.
  3. I can see the case for inclusion, especially if you can stretch your mind to accept the idea of rote and ritual as a valid form of pro wrestling (and that's a big stretch because even things you THINK are somewhat ritualistic like late 80s Hogan matches, really aren't to this same degree), but 40?
  4. I am DYING to know who went 40 on Ultimo Guerrero. He's someone who has lots of fun tag matches in the early 00s and equally fun stuff against Satanico, and he's sort of a Triple H analog in that he's had big main event matches for the decade, and I thought about voting for him towards the very end, because he's obviously good at what he does, but you'd almost have to be religiously accepting of the idea of "ritual" in pro wrestling. Not structure, not tools or tricks or even repetition, but actual ritual. So many of his matches are move for move the same when you hit a certain point, not in a Bret Five Moves of Doom sort of way or in a Cena comeback sort of way, or whatever, but in actual two-three minute stretches, and so much of the stuff (like his opponent running up to eat the reverse suplex from the top) involves the concept of fate. His opponent HAS to do that, because he is in an Ultimo Guerrero match. There's no choice. There is no free will. I'm not sure I've ever seen a wrestler like him in that regard. It's intentional. There are parts of the crowd that eat it up. It's like fans singing along to Rocky Horror or something. You don't want to deviate from the mold. And there are years and years of this.
  5. No way could Dolph do as well in this match as Gunn did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziz4zVfcgz4
  6. Way to come forward, man.
  7. At second look, I'm even more excited. The gems are Morton vs Bock and Valentine vs Wahoo but that's not nearly all of it. Those Gino/Tully matches look like a lot of fun (So does Mil vs Tully). We've already gone through the JYD vs Bock match we've already had (and I think the Brody one too) so these should be something we haven't seen at least. More Spoiler is always good. Race vs Halcon is exciting too. Patera should be a great Lothario opponent.
  8. I could have gotten Tenta into the top 300. Ah well.
  9. Hey, we haven't seen Tenta, have we? He didn't make my list (Shamefully) but I'm glad we haven't seen him yet.
  10. I'm at 7 now, all in my bottom 20. (I think)
  11. I snuck Oro onto mine but it was hard. And that's even without, you know, the country of Japan. There's just so much more footage so easily available now.
  12. I'm confused by a world where Doug Williams is better than Brazo De Oro. And I saw Williams live a bunch of times in 00-02. And those were fine matches, but still...
  13. Actually, I'm really happy to do this because it means I can pay some temporary tribute both to my vote Hector Garza and to Perro, Jr, who we lost just about a year ago, as well.
  14. There's a ton to be excited about there.
  15. Yeah, we're just having fun with things. And we'll continue to do so at the expense of everyone including ourselves.
  16. legit one of the first 5 ballots or so, and I thought we were in line for a bunch of troll ballots. I don't think it was a troll ballot anymore, but that was my initial reaction. The full name is "Mando > Eddie" btw. Mando Guerrero is one of my 20 least favorite wrestlers ever. But yeah, good for him.
  17. He's driven me nuts with his posts for years.
  18. Ew. Colt Cabana.
  19. Hey guys, So we've had some technical difficulties, despite our best efforts, and support from Parv. We tried recording part 2 twice. The first time (yesterday, making it through 65), the program crashed midway. The second (today, making it through 70), it picked up all of Stacey's comments, but none of mine, which I'm sure is a hilarious listen, but not one we're sharing. So the good news is that our chemistry is probably pretty good three and a half hours later! The bad news is basically everything else. The other good news is that we're not giving up quite yet. I think the game plan is to make up time early next week by going with the Parv/Chad style of listing one set of ten or so in a row to get us back down to 70, and then to move on from there, making sure that both of us try to record the thing at once. I don't think either of us want to talk about certain wrestlers again at length. So, thanks for caring. Sorry about the delay. We'll try to be back with you early next week. We're also going to take the heat off off of Steven. The ??? Person in question was hidden for a day at my request as it was where today's podcast was going to end. So thanks to him for doing that, and he can feel free to unhide it now. That's where we'll start the more in depth look after running through our 83-71 next week.
  20. The mystery is my fault, actually. Ruminate accordingly. (Or don't.)
  21. Almost through the Mania reaction show. This one's next. I await Marty aggravating me in the best way.

    Steve Veidor

It was funny. I went on and on about the Hayes match and then had to be reminded about the freaking amazing Davies match. I'm really glad you liked it though.
  23. HTM was a possible 100 vote for a while.
  24. I haven't asked Steven where Bock landed or where Rose did or anyone I care a ton about, because I want to be surprised. No one I've voted for any no top ten rankings, nothing like that, but I constantly bugged him about Angle.
  25. Very curious about what Pete thinks of the Littlebrook match. It was sort of like the lucha title match of midget matches. People should check it out.
