  1. Would that be if Eazy, Cube, and Dre left "Straight out of Compton" NWA or if they left "NWA and the Posse" NWA? NWA & The Posse were underrated.
  2. It's pretty hard to knock AJ as a worker. He's consistently had great matches since atleast 2002. I've seen him live in probably 5 different states and one other country, and he's always been great.
  3. I personally love the youshoots(except for Missy's) and the timelines. I think they are great concepts. The youshoot concept gets rid of the producers not knowing certain aspects of guys careers and gets the questions the people want to ask. The only parts I don't like are when they involve sex or when they include the people who are trolling. Personally, I've listened to just about every shoot and podcast Cornette(Maybe HTM also) has done and it's still not old to me. The most interesting and/or the best people are going to get interviewed many times, there is just no way around it. But, if people are buying it, who cares how many times it's done.
  4. I really don't like the class limits for the heavyweight class. Why is a 60 pound different okay only in that class, while all of them except for Light Heavyweight max out at 14 pounds difference? I understand why they do it, but it's really going to be tough for any smaller heavyweights to go against someone like Lesnar no matter how good they are.
  5. I can see Dave dipping more into boxing in the future. It doesn't hurt to try to appeal to different audiences. He already covers Wrestling, MMA and K-1 a little, so he might as well do boxing too. I like Dave. He's always responded to any questions I had and has kept me happy over the years as a customer. I'm not going to agree 100% with everything he says, but hey he gets me to pay for his opinions.
  6. I want to know how they spent $15 million on NHB. Maybe they spent it on a secret unreleased sequel or something.
  7. This is the greatest line I've ever read: "I still average at least a half-dozen letters weekly telling me that Orndorff died from any one of a half dozen different causes ranging from getting hit with a bowling ball to AIDS"
  8. I don't really buy the cheating excuse for firing her. I'd wager atleast 50% of the wrestlers there have cheated at one point. Off the top of my head I can name Batista & Melina(one of the worst ones), Vince, Edge and I'm sure there's many more. WWE just wanted to get rid of Mickie and finally had enough excuses to. She'll be fine though either way.
  9. I was actually thinking the same thoughts as you. I also questioned myself as to whether this show was just boring or I'm just sick of and not interested in WWE and wrestling. After seeing people say that there were so many great matches and HBK/Taker was just as good as last years, I'm beginning to think it's just me. Thankfully, I have Memphis wrestling to watch
  10. I think at this point I'm more entertained by Meltzer and Alvarez reviewing/complaining about wrestling than actually watching it. I find it really hard to sit through any of the shows nowadays and I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Also, I'd rather do other things at night than watch TV, so that hurts it also. It's really funny though because now that I have all of the wrestling I always dreamed of watching, I don't want to watch it anymore. If I do watch anything though, it's most likely to be an episode of Primetime on 24/7, BJPW main events or selected joshi matches. I feel that I've seen it all now and that it hit levels before that will never be reached again. And to actually answer the question, between DVDVR, thecubsfan, and the Wrestling Observer, I'm pretty well connected to everything that goes on. I'd rather read about it than watch it anyway.
  11. I finally saw the match. The shoot started after Kandori threw legit punches at Sato, making her cheek all puffy. From what I saw, it wasn't provoked as Sato doesn't fight back, but she keeps telling Kandori to bring it. Sato was kind of laughing/smirking through this. Later, Kandori straddled her and paintbrushed her. Eventually, Jackie leaves the ring after getting dominated, then jumps back in again for some strange reason. She eventually got a little bloody but hung in there. She didn't stand a chance on the ground, as she got dominated there too. It cuts off before the end of it unfortunately. It was kind of weird, as it became obvious that it was a shoot, but no one ever bothered to try and stop it. Not sure what the reason for it was. It's on 193. 156 has an original JWP documentary on their rookies. It was so funny to see a skinny 15-year old Dynamite Kansai(Miss A), a very young Ozaki and a really dorky looking Cuty Suzuki(Along with Xochitl Hamada, Esther Moreno and 14 other rookies). The video is a bunch of super short clips(no full matches) mixed with JWP and some comedians goofing around and some ordeal with a young kid watching a JWP show. It also has Rumi Kazama singing. Believe it or not, she was probably the best looking girl in the promotion at this point. The Sato/Kandori match on here is from the first show I think, and they show less than 1 minute of it. There are also some quick clips with Sensational Sherri, Luna Vachon and Lola Gonzalez. This video has terrible editing and really makes no sense at all, but it's interesting.
  12. You definitely have to ask him about Tom Magee, maybe see if he remembers some of the japanese guys that came through like Kawada and Hashimoto, as well I'd love to see if he remembers the only match Dynamite had against Benoit.
  13. Whoa, this match actually exists? I'm definitely going to have to look into getting it.
  14. I'd like to see you just continue with 88.
  15. Do you realize what you just said? Yes, I just forgot to add the word "continued" after "WWE's". Jingus - That's another thing I don't like about Vickie. She's had the most tv time of just about anyone for the last 6 months or so, and I gurantee she hasn't sold one ticket. Sek - What good is this heat if it doesn't make WWE any money?
  16. I gurantee I will be the minority in this(and I'm sure I will get flak), but my pick may be Munenori Sawa. Almost every match of his I've seen this year has been good and he has great charisma and fire. Masato Tanaka would be a really good(and more likely) pick for this too.
  17. I'm glad he's done. He sucked and him being GM made no sense at all. How can a guy who knows nothing about wrestling become GM? Now, Vicki needs to follow. Her and Adamle have helped contribute to WWE's complete loss of credibility and believeability.
  18. I like the Condrey/Rose version managed by Paul E., then the Lane/Eaton version. I have never liked the Eaton/Condrey combination the least bit. I was actually surprised by how much I've enjoyed the Condrey/Rose version. I think the seedy/dirtbag look of the team does it for me.
