  1. I haven’t heard Bartlett, really, soon won’t comment on him. But, Donovan >>> Mauro. Mauro annoys me. Does not entertain me one bit. Donovan at least amused me. I mean, what do those guys weigh?!??
  2. I just watched this, too. The dealings between the toy companies and wrestling promotions was soooo pro wrestling. Love it. I just learned of the "Black Card" series from this episode. I would've killed for Warrior, Rude, Bam Bam and Andre in the black singlet (I had the original Andre and tried to use electrical tape to make his singlet). Also, why was there never a Demolition Smash? I had Ax and always figured I just didn't get Smash. Looks like they never made him.
  3. Other than the Kahn tweet, those were all done when he wasn’t working for WWE. When he works for them, he toes the line. Always has. Like I said, he may be employed by Fox, technically, but he works for WWE. Punk’s a smart dude. He knows when to do that stuff and when not to. They may draw a big rating on that first show, but will it keep interest? Who knows?
  4. I doubt it. He seems to fucking hate Trump.
  5. Was anyone really expecting Punk to do anything "crazy"? As much as he gets branded as this "loose cannon" character who'll say whatever no matter the consequences, he's always worked within the lines of the company. The Pipe Bomb promo was approved and on television. It wasn't some shoot that snuck by HHH and Vince. Sure, Punk's looked out for his own interests even when it went against management, and that's awesome. But he never had a crazy, off-script moment while he was in WWE. Now he's back on their payroll (I know, technically Fox's payroll, but he wouldn't be there unless Vince was ok with it), so I wouldn't expect for him to go too far outside the lines.
  6. I did a free month on IWTV. I think it was Beyond Wrestling.
  7. Sometimes I read stuff on here and I disagree with a lot of you on a variety of topics, but at the end of the day, I rest easy knowing that we all hate Seth Rollins. That makes me feel nice. Love you guys.

Orton might be the best example of what shitty WWE booking of the last two decades can do to a "can't-miss" talent. He should be this generation's Macho Man to Cena's Hogan. Instead, he's just another guy. Some of it's him, but he had "superstar" written all over him in those early days.
  9. I just want to echo @Superstar Sleeze's review of the Ki/Thatcher match. Damn! That choke that finished it totally looked like a choke that would finish someone. Tight as hell, man. It's fun seeing Thatcher getting around and facing guys like Ki and Kingston lately.

I always say this about Orton: He's a wrestler that I never seek out. I've never sat down with the intent of watching a Randy Orton match. I have, however, happened to watch a number of his matches and really enjoyed them. That said, I still won't seek out one of his matches. Weird, right?
  11. Also, someone needs to explain the idea of "punching up/down" to some of the WWE roster. If you really are the biggest (only) game in town, as you claim, then you don't bother with the little guys. You stay "above" it. When you start provoking/arguing/engaging them, you give them credibility. It might even go as far as seeming like you see them as a threat. You'd think for a company as big as WWE, they'd give their people some social media training.
  12. I haven't watched Raw in ages, but I come to this thread for amazing stuff like this. In my eyes, you are officially more entertaining than a multi-billion dollar corporation, @ButchReedMark!
  13. I see this thing all the time about MNF hurting Raw, but is there any evidence to back that up? Is there really that much of an overlap of WWE/NFL fans that it hurts Raw's ratings that much? Football season also happens to coincide with what is traditionally WWE's weakest, least "must-watch" time of year. Couldn't that be a factor? I'm genuinely asking here. I see it presented as fact so much, that I just wonder if it's true.

    AEW Full Gear

Totally agree with @War is Raw I’m surprised at the amount of pearl clutching I’m seeing over the Mox/Omega match. Guys are doing way worse to each other for a spot of a show that drew 20 people and a hot dog. These guys got paid well, and neither are in a position where the had to do the match. They obviously wanted to do that sort of thing. If you’re worried about maintaining a “healthy moral compass”, you may need to find a new hobby. In the grand scheme of “sketchy things a wrestling promotion has done”, I’d say that match is pretty fucking low on the list.
  15. When Styles was commenting by himself, it’s actually surprising to go back and hear how much he didn’t talk. He’s not one of my favorites, but he knew when to let thing breath a bit. Mauro has one speed.
  16. WWE Wargames are all about one participant getting to the top of the cage and diving onto all the other participants who have, for some unknown reason, decided to congregate in one area and hold onto each other while they stare at the person jumping on them.
  17. HHH needs to cut one of those promos on his boy Cole.
  18. I don't think they all of them actually do want out. I think some of them, at least, are doing this stuff to leverage more from WWE. Orton just did it, and didn't Rusev do that too?
  19. There won't be another "boom period" anytime soon. The problem is, everyone wants to recreate the last boom instead of thinking of something new to appeal to draw in new fans. Seriously, name one promotion today who is doing something unique to grab new eyeballs? I'd say the only fairly recent examples are Lucha Underground and that promotion MTV tried to start up.
  20. Jim's playing a character and it's getting him a lot of attention. Good for him. Do I find it annoying? Yeah. But I still think it'd be amazing to get to sit and talk wrestling with him sometime. He's been everywhere and has interacted with pretty much anyone who's anyone in the business. He's a wealth of knowledge on pro wrestling, and I'd love to get to pick his brain while he's being his actual self.
  21. I love that The Rock still keeps up with wrestling. He tweeted his praise for NWA Powerrr, too.
  22. I just do not like Justin Roberts’ voice.
  23. Fucking amazing.
  24. I just mean she has bad instincts in general. She's been wrestling for quite a while now and often looks lost in the ring.
  25. Nattie may have the worst instincts of any wrestler this side of Tom Magee.
