  1. Power Uti?
  2. NXT in general has that issue. Not just the commentary. You always see the criticism of indies that dudes are kicking out of top-rope tombstones and stuff in the opening match. That's going on in NXT now. Every match is too much. There's no variety. Everyone wrestles the same go-go-go style. It's exhausting to me. I can watch bits here and there and enjoy it, but it's too much to sit through. AEW can sometimes have the same issue, but at least they have a couple guys/gals that mix it up a little bit. NXT has just gotten too homogenized for my taste.
  3. Ted was on Twitter pearl-clutching over the Super Bowl halftime show while he's (allegedly) participating in illegal activity. Man, I love religious hypocrites.

Cool way to introduce Cobb. Is he signed?

I just happened upon Melina's instagram recently, and the first thing in her description is "Living Legend". I know that word gets tossed around a lot, especially in wrestling, but come the fuck on!
  6. She's too violent for MMA! She got tired of all the rules and regulations and wanted to go where the competition is the toughest! At least that's how Bill Watts would've sold it.

    The XFL is returning?

Exactly this. To me, the biggest difference this time is I'm not seeing it being presented as some sideshow thing anywhere. It's being presented as legit football this time. Highlights were all over ESPN this weekend/Monday morning. It all make sense. Late-90's/early-00's Vince was all about "pushing the envelope". Now, he's all "putting smiles on face" and being "legit".
  8. I hope MJF has been hanging out with Tully a bunch backstage. There's a dude who can show a young guy how to be a chickenshit heel that can still be viewed as dangerous at times.
  9. He's right. Watch it now. It's so good.
  10. Nothing screams "bad ass!" like running to the boss because someone said mean stuff about you online.

Exactly. He was fucking spitting fire. Thread Killer is right, anyone in the NXT locker room would kill to be that good. I mean, you really feel like he's about to lose it there. I'd be fucking terrified to have someone doing that in my face. I can't think of anyone ever in WWE that has actually made me think I'd be totally frightened to have their promo said to me. I mean, I'm not saying I wouldn't be scared in real life if Randy Orton told me he was going to kick my ass. I just mean, if I put myself in the shoes of the person the promo was being cut on, I wouldn't be worried. If I was Pope, I'd be packing my bags.
  12. Yeah, no shit. I know it has virtually no chance of happening. Just saying that'd be a dream matchup of mine.
  13. Shit, yeah! Give me some Thatcher/Riddle, Ohno, hell, give me Thatcher/Brock! You know that'd rule.
  14. Janela is not so good at the in-ring stuff, but anyone who can think up, let alone actually book matchups like that is ok in my book.
  15. Orton, Brock and Hardy all have a "physical" charisma (for lack of a better term). It's a weird thing where you're entertained by the way they move, not from what they say. I actually think one of the most physically charismatic performers I've ever seen is Asuka. She's so good at conveying stuff through her movements, from her dance/strut she does on her way to the ring to her movements in the ring. There might actually be a term for what I'm talking about, but I don't know it. Hogan and Savage both had it too. They just also happened to have the verbal charisma too.
  16. I haven't watched Raw in quite a while. When did Lana lose the Russian accent? It was really jarring to me when she started that promo on the way into the Rumble and it wasn't there. Did she just drop it or was there a storyline reason she stopped?
  17. Totally agree. For me, the Rumble got really boring once Brock was out.
  18. Can you watch the WM weekend shows live on there? Also, which shows will they have?
  19. They need to be careful around that dugout. They might damage some sign-stealing equipment.
  20. Can you imagine wanting to be a wrestler, training hard to make it a reality, getting signed by the biggest company and then having a feather on your tights?
  21. Haaaaaaa! That’s awesome.
  22. Going back a bit to Braun... When he was wrecking shit against Roman, as a heel, he actually terrified my daughter. But it was in the good way. She actually cried when he threw Roman off of a loading dock while he was strapped in a stretcher. She was scared of him, but she always wanted to see what he'd do next. Then, they turned him face, and she was really excited. She felt better about wanting to watch him. She loved when he'd run around the ring and waste dudes like Owens and Zayne. The had a real, larger-than-life, possible mega star on their hands with him. But like others pointed out, they never pulled the trigger. WWE has never been good at having monster faces. They get over as heels, but when they turn, they make them dance or have kids as tag partners or whatever. They never have learned that the appeal of face Stone Cold and The Rock wasn't that they suddenly changed characters. It was just that they kept doing the same "cool" stuff, but now they did it to the heels.

I know that won't be everyone's cup o' tea, but I really like that.
  24. Yes. Everything I hate about modern wrestling can be traced directly to Michaels. (To be clear, I don't hate modern wrestling. It's just that the things I do hate about it are Michaels' fault.)
  25. I think the biggest problem with the skits is that they had guys like Hogan, Foley, Rock, Austin, Angle, Heenan, etc. that could pull them off. Not everyone is as good at them as they were. It's the same thing with the long-ass promos. Guys like that could pull them off, so they became the norm. Now, they try to make everyone do it. There's no more finding a guy/gal's strengths and playing to them. They want everyone to fit into their box.
