A split-screen interview with Flair and Savage. I wish Flair could have been a 12-time champion longer, if only because it was cool to hear him talking about making it "an even baker's dozen". Flair name drops Elizabeth. You don't think ...?

Had a great territory feel to the interview.

Awesome. Savage's nonsense is like poetry, talking about being there with friends or acquaintences and telling Flair to warm up the girls so he can seal the deal.

 

Thinking back to the Hogan-Sting-Savage abortion of an interview on that week's Nitro: This is how you do a modern interview (talking about sex and orgies and fucking Liz!!!??) while using an old school delivery.

The interview has a reality based feel compared to the scripted stuff you have seen the past decade. These two can go on forever in an interview, so its no surprise that it is good.

Nobody does whacked out promos like Savage, and Flair antagonizing him is just fantastic.

Flair got into town early to prepare for match against Savage on Nitro. Except the town is Las Vegas. Bad idea for Flair. They also plug tag match at Clash.

Good interview and Slick Ric drops the Liz mentions which of course sets Savage off. Fun to see this heel run from Ric based on the 97-99 stuff of him almost exclusively as a face.

Good build for a Nitro match, which is a rarity. Flair had mentioned taking Savage's wife before the '95 GAB, but here he drops Elizabeth by name.
