Last few minutes. Goldust regains the IC title. I'm not sure why they even switched the belt at all unless they thought it was a title thing they could afford to do without hotshotting a money match while popping a rating. Maybe I just answered my own question.

Vega looks good again in limited action. Steve Austin costs him the match by whacking him with the Million Dollar belt.

It is actually a good, heated TV match. Savio was really solid and he clicked with Dustin, who was doing less gimmicky stuff here and looked good. This could have been a PPV feud.

Austin sets up the feud with Vega. I don't doubt the match is good but the teased vacant title feels stupid with Goldust having another match coming up at the PPV.

Good ending clip. Hot finishing stretch mainly built around Vega scoring super close nearfalls on Goldust. Austin costs Vega the match.

Austin was already feuding with Vega.  I think Loss nailed it with his thoughts.  Except they never had Savio win the title, they just held it up due to a BS TV finish.

Honestly, if they wanted to hotshot a rating they could have just skipped last week's match and done this exact thingin it's place.  Then in ONE match that accomplished something for the Austin/Vega program. Then have some kind of Goldust match this week against a half decent opponent where Warrior comes out and calls Goldust on his BS cheating finish attempt after the match to lead into their match on Sunday.
