Loss
Good 7 minutes or so of action with a title change to boot!
Hollinger.
Not bad. Typical Memphis tag, but the lead up was pretty great.
Robert S
- Never having seen any USWA I was surprised at the bad production value of some of this stuff. Apart from the studio tapings it seems to be just a one handcamera, like a random RF Video indy show taping ca. 2000. - I was amused that Lance Russell called Doug Gilbert "Tommy" continuously. - I cannot decide who looks sleazier, JC Ice or Tommy Rich, though both definitely can cut a great promo. EDIT: This comments are meant to be for the feud recap. The match itself was fine, but to short and missing any significant face-in-peril segment. Kronos
Fun fast-paced match, almost a sprint. The heels screw themselves when they try to cheat, setting up what I imagine will be a rematch. I could listen to Lance Russell all day. Is the black commentator Cory the same guy who supposedly sold the Memphis tapes to highspots.com?
Jack_Briscoe_Is_My_Hero
Match was a good tv match. I didn't know PG-13 was billed from the hood. I guess that makes this a Hood vs Trailer Park tag team feud?
shoe
Just a good little t.v bout, The build was great though.
fishbaugh
Jamie Dundee in the top hat and white jean shorts is so awesome. I went to high school in Montana in the mid 90s, and there were so many trashy trailer park yokels in that town who dressed just like PG-13. It really is one of the most timely gimmicks I can think of.
Kevin Ridge
Our video footage had better quality in 90-91 than this. The chain is still around. Doug hits Tommy in error. Lance doesn’t think Gilbert was on his game today. PG-13 win the tag belts.
soup23
Well, good to see this format of USWA matches was happening in 1996. I hope for more PG-13 tags as I think they are great as a team together and would be much more well known if they would have been in higher profile places. Title change happens which seems kind of weird heading into the round robin challenge but the studio crowd popped big. (**1/4)
PeteF3
Either last week was 12/30, or this is 1/13, as they're making reference to the previous week's tournament. Standard studio match--basic and okay, but there are far better PG-13 matches even in the studio. They tease miscommunication between Rich & Gilbert, and a blown double-team attempt nets PG-13 the tag titles.
