Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Last few minutes. Hall and Nash come through the crowd and have baseball bats. A half dozen cops swarm the ring with their guns along with a few other wrestlers. Harlem Heat win the tag titles in the middle of all this. Great chaotic scene. Kronos
This is when nwo bringing the show to a screeching halt was still cool and fresh. Hall has an idiotic look on his face, but Nash looks like a badass. Tony and Bobby sell the crisis beautifully, with Heenan wanting to goon home because he's afraid. El-P
Another great angle. The crowd in Charlotte popped hard for Hall & Nash, which is a sign of bad things to come. These guys are already cooler than those WCW goofs with warpaints on. Schiavone was a terrific announcer during the development of the nWo angle, he doesn't get nearly enough credit because everybody always thinks about bad Tony from later on. PeteF3
Fun scene, if a little over-the-top as Harlem Heat snag the WCW tag titles with half a dozen armed cops in the ring. Schiavone and Heenan sell this great. Schiavone invokes the history of the Independence Arena and cuts a PROMO on the Outsiders. Nitro has improved by an order of magnitude with Tony taking over for Bischoff.
soup23
Awesome, chaotic scene and a great way for the belts to come off of Sting/Luger without them being damaged heading into BatB. This felt like a true out of control scene and Tony was the perfect narrator for all of the mayhem.
tim
Really great angle with a real sense of chaos. Feels really groundbreaking in context. I don't like the title switch though, really devalues the belts. Hall and Nash could have cost Luger and Sting the belts in a way that kept Luger and Sting strong, added heat to the match and put some emphasis on the new guys winning.
